Crazy work to make a medieval castle! Congratulations to the 70 employees and 800 volunteers! Great day, I recommend.
Great place a fantastic job Thanks to all the volunteers
Congratulations to all those who perform this wonderful job
Seeing the evolution of this building after several visits (once a year) by volunteers working on materials as at the time is really great. We learn a lot about how our ancestors have evolved.
Very good experience, an atypical place with a very welcoming staff
We learn a lot of things and this place will appeal to lovers of the Middle Ages
I am amazed that I no longer receive the videos from guedelon which are great and which I gladly transmit

Thank you
You had to be crazy to dream of such a project!
But the result is there: to share the pleasure of going back in time with us. Bravo to all the craftsmen for their availability and their courage. The children discovered manual trades which were those of their ancestors, not so distant.
The organizers are kind and the possibility of picnics in comfortable conditions a real plus.
It is a beautiful destination for holidays and the opportunity to discover a region that deserves to be highlighted.
Super nice for adults and children. The staff knows his subject and with a lot of humor. To do
20 years after having been there, this place is still enchanting. It takes us back in time. The craftsmen are pleasant, ready to tell their stories, to share their expertise, their knowledge.
Young and old, you will be won over by this extraordinary experience.
An exceptional place to understand the challenges of building castles. Young and old come back with pleasure in the old days.
Very informative for children but the castle is moving slowly we came 10 years ago we saw little change
Interesting concept, to construct with centuries old methods. Would like to be involved!
To do regularly to see the evolution of the work! A magnificent project that materializes!
super interesting
I recommend
Really not enough entertainment this Saturday, come for the first time with people who know the place, they did not recognize the quality of the entertainment seen in the past.
It remains an interesting place but desperately empty at the moment in terms of the number of visitors and the level of entertainment.
On the other hand, the price does not change, and there are staff at the cash desks and at the shop ...
I really appreciated that the mill is not working because of the drought
Have a nice day with your family. Possibility to eat on site. Guided tour possible. Walk around all the trades of the Middle Ages. I also recommend the show of the alchemist (external speaker): crazy but who is the height of the site, ie it will mark you. I let you discover.
It is great as a family visit and very informative. I highly recommend it
Great site to discover between adults or with family
Fantastic place. A group of ambitious people builds a castle in a way that was done in the Middle Ages. In addition, a small village near the castle was recreated, where materials for the castle construction are made, as well as some aspects of life in the Middle Ages. In addition, there is a restaurant here. I recommend it for both large and small.
Outstanding, awesome, can't wait to go back, highly recommend
Interesting but sad for me that they do not finish what they started. Finish a tower completely to prevent it from taking rain water and then deteriorating the vaults. It risks cracks and damage before being finished! It is under construction ..... and for a long time ...
But I do not regret my visit!
I saw the building start in 1997 and since then I go there at least once or twice a year. This year the progression is spectacular. Congratulations to all the team doing a fabulous job and special mention for the charming storyteller miller.
Travel in time worth any documentation. Competent and available companions. To see absolutely and regularly to appreciate the progress of the site.
My kids loved it. The site is interesting to get an idea of the techniques used even if we would like a medieval eco-museum type site showing more the life of the time but it is out of scope for the moment. In any case it is to be done and several times to see the evolution of the site!
A nice place if you are interested in castles and how they are built, as well as some of the other things that often take place in the construction of castles such as. metalwork, clay work, colors, carving etc.
Most signs have descriptions in both French and English.
There is free parking, also an area dedicated to motorhomes (however, accommodation was not allowed). If you have an electric car, there are also some charging stations, but I cannot answer which plugs were.
Unmissable, magnificent, educational, unique in the world !!
Ideal for spending a day with the family, children love the discovery of trades of yesteryear.
It is necessary to persevere it is beautiful encourage volunteers BRAVO
Site very interesting to understand the construction of a medieval fortress. To visit over several years to follow the evolution of the site.
A fascinating and fascinating place to learn all about the construction of a Philippine castle! The employees in uniform from the Middle Ages representing all the trades of the time are very friendly and always ready to give lots of explanations.
Magical place where history mixes through the means of constructions of other times. Wonder of our senses. Very good visit !!!
We loved the visit and the work accomplished by these exceptional teams and the information provided to the public.
Always as good, never frozen because in perpetual evolution. The site visit transports you to another time where craftsmanship is highlighted. Craftsmen and workers are ready and not stressed. It would almost make you want if it's on the project. The shows of the alchemist and his companion in the blue cloud company are really cool and offers a show combining science, juggling, burlesque and clowning of quality.
Super place where it builds a castle as in the Middle Ages with the same techniques and tools. One black dot cafeteria one hour wait very bad organization. It is better to plan a picnic
Incredible place to visit, can't rate this place highly enough. So interesting! The kids will love it.
Can't wait to see it again when it's finished, it's an awesome job.
4 stars because it would be worth telling visitors to bring their picnic because yesterday Thursday 18 we did 1h3 / 4 queue to give up the last moment because it was 14h (time of the guided tour) Guided tour with a super guide but a too many group that left too much waiting for the grouping.
Fortunately we learned a lot from the artisans and volunteers whose explanations were always given with skill and smile
Very beautiful place !! Which project !! Magnificent collective work !! To recommend !!
An impressive site, and period workshops (forge, quarry, stonemason, etc.).
A good part of the visit is in the shade.
Very educational to do with children but also a nice place for adults. For each his own.
Visiting today. Really not to be missed in his life Top
Unmissable place ..... to discover absolutely ... do not hesitate to visit with the guide!
A construction site that we take pleasure in browsing ... it is not every day that we see a castle ... artisans are passionate and just want to share their passion. Workshops for children, a park, a forest, restaurants and picnic areas ... enough to have a great day!
Everything is very well explained by the workers. We learn a lot about trades allowing the construction of the castles of the Middle Ages.
Only downside catering: the quality is there but even going to lunch "late" (1:45 pm) it was 1h tail before reaching the checkout and the choice when arriving was very small. And the prices are also relatively high ( 3.20 for a white cheese, 3.50 for half a drop of fresh organic goat cheese). The best is to bring your own lunch.
Nice visit and competent staff including cutlers and carpenters on the other hand big flat in the restaurant. Very unpleasant brunette waitress ....
Super, Formidable, grand, Pleasant, very nice place, very good reception of volunteers. Site to discover absolutely very educational for children and adults or everyone can find something there ... possibility of picnic on site.
a place where you think you are in another era ... energizing outing.
Magnificent rich place of teaching about the past and its works
Long live unprofitable, slow and inefficient jobs! It's the future but he's passionate too!
Superb experience to do and redo! This site is mesmerizing, the approach wonderful and very attractive.
An example, the children's menu: a small packet of crisps + a small sausage alone on its small plate + a can of soda + an industrial ice cream (like water ice cream) ....
To be done regularly to follow the progress of the work. The animators are passionate and fascinating.
Magnificent !
Castle under construction as at the time!
3 years that I had not been there and many changes! So to do and redo!
Nice to be able to do things yourself, unfortunately the best workshops have been canceled by Covid. Worth the effort
An exciting visit, a dive into the distant past.
The "builders" are very friendly, passionate and fascinating.
The guided tour (reasonable price) is a very good complement as it is full of historical anecdotes and details on construction.
Not big enough parking to park in the woods ..
14 euros entry to see strictly people working by going to 13:45 on the workshops.
Thirst ? 30 min of tail.
Well, it's not what it was a few years ago.
Do not miss it if you go there. The frame and the concept are unique.
It is extraordinary to see the work carried out by hand by these craftsmen.
A crazy project, build a medieval castle where there was nothing ... passionate and passionate workers. Allow between 5 and 6 hours of visit, the restaurant works with products and local producers, the cuisine is excellent but you can also take your picnic tables are at your disposal. Do not miss !!!
For those curious about medieval techniques .. moyen
Construction site of a medieval castle made today with ancestral methods. You can see the workers on site working and explaining their tasks and their methods. They are very involved people, and eager to communicate their passion. Do not miss the mill!
Belle am past guedelon..nous come back to see the progress of the work.
Thank you for these beautiful moments of sharing ..
I loved it, very saturated, but what they are doing there is beautiful, I will return
Magnificent discovery, crazy project for which we are admiring. Bravo to all those who worked and still work for this magnificent medieval castle. All our encouragement for the next few years which will lead you to the completion of your project.
