Visiting a medieval castle under construction is not trivial! The concept is really interesting and we can discuss with the different craftsmen working on this titanic site! During our visit, we also attended the spectacle of a very high quality alchemist.

The fact of being able to see the construction of a castle according to the techniques of the Middle Ages constitutes a rather exceptional and enriching experience. The work done by the volunteers is incredible and we also learn about the trades of the time.
In terms of history and staging, I was amazed! I should have come 10 years before because the castle is unfortunately finished! But it's worth the detour! The 15 are well worth them. Just in this time of covid several booths were empty, I would have hoped that they were replaced with other things temporarily. But otherwise perfect!
It was a disappointing visit. The castle was beautiful and the crafts around it too. That was it. The park employees were not friendly and did not explain. They also answered questions briefly as if every question was too much. Many school groups were present. They received explanations more often, but were not always enthusiastic either. We had the feeling that we were lost between the different huts.
A very educational project for young and old. We regret in this period of Covid that we cannot participate in small workshops to touch the materials. Avoid in the event of high heat.
A magical place not to be missed in the Yonne. Young and old will discover in a magnificent and green setting this grandiose project. The on-site catering is homemade and in the medieval theme. Arrive early to find a place in the shade in the parking lot.
A must see. I do not regret going there. I have been interested in the evolution of this castle for a very long time and frankly I was pleasantly surprised and a big congratulations to all these enthusiasts.
A unique experience for a very reasonable price (15 ), you learn so much from the passionate artisans who work there. The book is impressive and promises you awe with children's eyes. Book a good day there to take advantage of all the workshops offered. Plenty of picnic space available and the on-site catering is of high quality.
Very nice site in the heart of nature and the castle that is progressing well then all these trades of the time very exciting by all these volunteers. Hat .. a small cafeteria is available ... c practice
What change and advanced in 5 years !!!!! Congratulations to all the workers who work tirelessly but always with a smile kindness goodwill! Special Mention to Jean-Maurice "Breton" to the Master Tailor and Eugene !!!! Just a flat on the shop that has lost some of his soul guedelonesque ...
Mixed opinion, beautiful site with a lot of discovery but hollow! Despite a great idea / initiative, interactions are weak, however the staff are very nice and helpful! To be redone to compare over a more relaxed period.
Not bad at all ! A remark however concerning families. I find that the stones are a little too accessible for children, I almost attended many accidents (crushing of feet and throwing stones by children oblivious to the danger) so pay attention to the safety aspect on the site. But the site is very interesting.
Very interesting place to visit. It is a real pleasure to see a medieval castle rise and to see the work accomplished by all the professions such as the blacksmith, the carpenter, etc ...
Admirable work of enthusiasts, very instructive for children. Always a pleasure to revisit this place and see the evolution of the construction of the castle.
Beautiful place, we have the real impression of landing in the Middle Ages. Very enriching, we are more aware of how lucky we are to live in our time ...
The top of the top, for those who have the passion of the medieval, the workshops are great, everywhere answered your questions, about the trade (mason, stonemason, lumberjack, ironworkers, blacksmiths, ...... ..) you will spend a wonderful day, plan good shoes because if you want to do all the workshops, plus the castle, the mill, you will have to walk a lot. Despite everything have not seen the time pass With my wife we go there twice a year to follow the progress of work, May June, September October. Since 6 years, and not getting tired every year brings are lot of surprise. And all the staff are super friendly and friendly.
Extraordinary in all areas. Whether it is the construction, the workers with great availability, the village and so on. To watch again and again. But hurry up
