Magical. A large pad in 1250. A must see if you are in the region

Build a fortified castle today with the tools and methods of the past. An original place which over time grows. I remember visiting it over ten years ago ... and we had trouble recognizing the place. Attention, covid19 obliges, wearing a mask obligatory both indoors and outdoors ... And unfortunately many did not respect this obligation ...
No guided tour at this time either.

Very good for everything related to the whole site ... flat ... more restaurant and side sandwich is not great and rather expensive.

The castle is brilliant. You feel you've stepped back in time.

It is an always informative visit. Coming regularly we can see the evolution of the site.
Possibility of guided tour.
Possibility to reserve picnic meal in advance.
It is easy to spend 5 hours if you want to visit everything.
The craftsmen explain with passion their job.

Note: The interior is not necessarily accessible in stroller / chair.

We will go back because we didn't have time to see everything.

The "craftsmen" present on the site are for the most part unfortunately puffy with sufficiency, rotten with condescension. For old converted hippies with a wealth of science. It's a shame the site is great

Successful teleportation ... journey to the Middle Ages

Fantastic!!! For those who are fond of the Middle Ages like me it is an unmissable destination. In addition to the castle that they are building scrupulously following techniques and materials of the time, there is a sort of village around where about fifty figures "produce" everything necessary for the construction. One of the most beautiful things I have seen in France.

Very nice walk and discovery but unfortunately, no guided tour on our arrival (15:00) must go to the website beforehand to ensure the availability of a guide.

Beautiful day for Easter Sunday I recommend the guided tour to have the history of the construction of the castle then you can discover the 10 hectares of forest and many animations throughout the course.

A magical place where the artisans are pleasant and attentive. Lots of topicality. Entry rather expensive I find ...

The setting is very pleasant and it is very informative to discuss with these volunteers and professionals, who work with the same equipment and materials and under the same conditions as in medieval times.

I was expecting something great and I was not disappointed with the venue. The workers were very enthusiastic to answer various various questions.
Too bad the guides do not pay attention to people with disabilities which did not make us want to take the guided tour (managing a group of 50 is still a lot, too, but it is not justified)
Maybe doing special visits for disabled and elderly people (1 mid-morning and 1 mid-afternoon) together could be interesting in the future even if it means walking more slowly that everyone can follow

A very nice exit, the castle under construction really looks like a medieval castle of time. The workshops around the castle are very interesting and allow to better understand the role of each trade. Picnic possible and site very well indicated from the motorway exit.

We visited the site in July 2013 with friends and were delighted by the site and admired the work done, we recommended this visit to all our entourage, to advise families with children, they will spend a magical day out of the time, I add that all the people working on the site are friendly, available and passionate about this project, we will return next time when we come in the region to follow the progress of the work

Excellent family outing, all elements of the workshops are used for the construction of the medieval castle. The castle can be visited entirely, except for the parts under construction, in which we can see the artisans working, which makes it unique site.

Here, artisans are passionate and the explanations are clear and technical as needed.

Attention, although the site is accessible to the youngest and the oldest, the visit is on foot and the stairs are those of a castle.
