We have visited each year for the last four years and it always has something new. Our grandchildren had watched the building a medieval castle series and are very excited to see the castle. It can get busy in school holidays but there were plenty of picnic areas with tables and chairs or a restaurant of you prefer. There are guided tours in a number of languages (with a small cost). Sign up early when buying tickets for the activities as they are very popular. The spectacular show is a fun show for the family, lots of fire and bubbles. Great to see the castle grow and the methods used. Highly recommended for adults and children. You can easily spend all day here.

An interesting site but a parking lot more than full a picnic area on top of each other and ... 40 degrees! But 'we'll try again.

What a magnificent reconstruction of a Middle Ages castle we take in my eyes I strongly recommend all parents to go and see this site for their child

Very nice walk and discovery but unfortunately, no guided tour on our arrival (15:00) must go to the website beforehand to ensure the availability of a guide.

Exciting, we are caught in the passion of these builders of the medieval era. Each workshop is to be discovered commented with passion by the workers working with the tools and means of the time. The only concession is today's safety standards !!!!! and especially no mobile network, we discover without being disturbed by cell phone ringtones. That happiness

the castle is superb, but the rest has become bcp too commercial for our taste without counting the prices !!!! Really too bad it spoils the fun. Our last visit five years ago before an accident had delighted us like the previous ones. But now the profitability exceeds the beauty of the work of the workers it is sad !!!!!

A unique project in Europe
To do and remake without moderation, for my part, we were amazed to see this site build as at the time of its construction despite the current means. Bravo, because before starting the construction of the castle there are all the rest, workshops, machinery, landscaping. I will return towards the end of the construction of the 2 dungeons at the entrance. Too bad it is so far away.

Incredible project to build a castle with the materials, techniques, crafts and energy of the time. Exceptional.

To eat on the spot, not much and very expensive. Better to bring a picnic

Magical place to see absolutely with guided tour that perfectly masters history

Medieval construction site where you can see a castle being built by a team in costume. You can ask the artisans questions while they are working like in the middle ages.

The on-site catering is a bit expensive but of good quality.

Entrance at 14 for adults I find more correct for a unique experience in Europe, see, the world!

I highly recommend it for the whole family and for all ages.

Very nice site to visit! nice welcome from artisans and animators. Guided tour recommended. The least: Too many people on guided tours. And it would be nice if there were special children's tours. Lots of waiting at the 2 restaurants. And few places at the picnic areas. Not enough toilets and bins.

Unique! The artisans are sensational, come you will love, the Middle Ages in 2019, better than the Visitors !!!!

A little disappointed this time: not a lot of activity on the way, apart from the ropemakers, stonemasons and masons ... but nevertheless satisfied with my visit, the place is so wonderful ....

Second visit for this bet completely crazy to build a castle in 25 years with the techniques of the time. The result is absolutely fabulous and incredible. Congratulations to this band of madmen for our greatest pleasure and for this leap into the Middle Ages ...

For the 3rd time since the beginning of construction of guedelon. Nice day spent with our children and small children .. To remake !! in a few years!!!

Large parking lot for camper van, no waiting to enter when you have the tickets.

Super castle, we take pleasure in talking with the craftsmen about their techniques and tools. It makes you want to participate! Small flat, indications of priority places are difficult to spot, and despite the badge and my indication of the GIC people have led us to the very bottom of the car park.
I saw the blacksmith working a knife blade, I'm sad we can not find them in the shop!

Place to see absolutely alone or with family there is something for everyone. The representation of all these old trades around the construction of a castle going to the miller and the baker and just unique.

Magnificent castle. To see and review when it is finished. The parts of the castles are splendid ... we had a terrible time so we didn t drag too much to ask questions. Fortunately the trees shelter us well in bad weather.

Very beautiful site for the construction of a medieval castle using the working methods of the time. Stonemason, carpenters, joiners, ect ...
Affordable on-site sanwincherie catering. Adult entry price 15 euros. Plan 4 to 5 hours of visit and more if you are very curious.
I would have liked a little more enthusiasm from the various players in this great adventure because some of them seem jaded by tourists.

Explanations of the guide a little long. I would have liked to see more on the site. We could not see the different trades represented. And at 17:30 U-turn at the pace!

Absolutely worth seeing. We walked around for hours without a guide and did not get bored. You can go through the whole castle and everywhere you can look at the different professions. Joiner who works the beams with an ax, roof tiles made there and burned and in the rope factory the ropes are made.

Well done !! A museum which is not devoid of meaning, the exchanges with volunteers are rich in particular with the masons!
Continue to amaze us and share your research, your experiences, the problems encountered.

Very good idea, good learning, but the slightly slow guided tour not necessarily lively intended more for adults than adolescents or children

Excellent family visit. My 2 year old daughter loved it! The people who work there explain things well. The setting is pleasant. I strongly advise.
