Still as good, I visited twice and the progress of the work is impressive! The new workshops (currency forge for example) are very nice and run by passionate people who love to transmit this knowledge!

The food served on site is ok but I look forward to the new service more in the medieval theme in 2018!

Parking, reception, building, everything is perfect

I would come back regularly!

What to do all day!

The site is very nice to visit, we do not feel "crowd effect".



Otherwise many animations that I suggest you discover by yourself are available!

I recommend visiting, especially with family or friends!

Impressive from 6 years bravo for the setting of the professions. The only complaint when you take your tickets on the internet and that is the flood that day and you took workshops for your children is not exchangeable organization problem in restoration

My family and I have been going regularly to visit this medieval site for a long time, but it's always so interesting to see the work accomplished and the workers' ways of working! If you are at all interested in the Middle Ages and the way fortified castles were built, you won't be disappointed! Drinking points are available directly on the construction site, a restaurant and a souvenir point of sale. You can also take part in the many workshops offered, and, my faith, very interesting!

Very nice visit or dogs on a leash are welcome. Everything is interesting! Old-fashioned staff are always available to provide information.
Small downside you have to wait 1:30 pm to visit the water mill ...
I recommend for both adults and children.

Excellent surprise that the discovery of this castle under construction. A tip: take the guide to tour the castle and thus discover the ancestral construction methods. This castle has been under construction for 20 years and it will take another ten to see the end. One thing is on we'll be back. Thank you again for this beautiful day.

In terms of history and staging, I was amazed! I should have come 10 years before because the castle is unfortunately finished! But it's worth the detour! The 15 are well worth them.
Just in this time of covid several booths were empty, I would have hoped that they were replaced with other things temporarily.
But otherwise perfect!

Magic !!! It was great to have gone there with schoolchildren! The workshops are adapted to different age groups.

Wonderful didactic adventure for all ages. I come every 5 years to follow the evolution of the site and each time, I am delighted and transported to another time and another world. I recommend this visit to everyone. Do not hesitate to plan the day!

Beautiful castle construction site from the 13th century.
already under construction for 20 years and will probably take another 10 years.
German leadership and German-speaking plan. Information boards also in English.
Food was good but long lines and expensive, better bring a picnic.
Unfortunately all further literature only in French.

What to spend a whole day to learn and for all ages.

Exciting school visit with about fifty children. An excellent welcome on arrival despite 2 hours late due to traffic, the team was organized to gather all our activities in the afternoon.
Craftsmen are passionate and the animations of children of very high quality.
I can not wait to return.

Super experience! Not to miss ! Although it is a business, the logic of profitability and exploitation is not pushed to its extreme: it does not feel like being in an amusement park where you have to entertain to consume. The experience is authentic, the scientific bias is demanding. The craftsmen are real pros with whom it is possible to exchange. To guarantee the preservation of this spirit, it would be suggested to transform the company into SCOP or SCIC :-)

Awesome place. This castle which rises gradually is too beautiful. The story told there is credible and holds up. The people are nice, welcoming, calm, pedagogue.
The only annoying thing is that for the visits, there are too many old people. There are 30 of us with old men who make funny jokes.
In any case I will return but as a "builder" to bring my "stone" to the building.

We feel too much of the commercial approach, the "actors" reflect a certain lassitude, when there is some. In short came once to give my tithe to the box and left a hair disappointed. 3rd visit to follow the progress of this incredible and still breathtaking site. A completely incredible project and yet in the process of being realized by enthusiasts. A must see. Allow the necessary time to be able to follow the workshops and explanations.

Visit as interesting for adults as for children. The castle is only a small part of the site as it is surrounded by its own medieval village with the huts of blacksmiths, stonemasons, carpenters, carpenters ... who produce the elements necessary for the construction of the castle.
Small negative point: there is no closed space to eat.

Great experience and nice tour for 3 euros more. The snack offers very good sandwiches and the price is reasonable because of good quality. The site is really very interesting, with lots of animals and several demonstration booths working on a medieval construction site. To do again in a few years to see the progress of the work!
