Medieval construction site to discover, workshops with activities shared with children. The castle begins to be imposing.

The site is worth seeing. Very educational, artisans explain their work. We did a guided tour that I recommend. Alternatively, the DVD available in store also explains very well the course of the building site. We will definitely go back in 2-3 to see the progress of construction.

Beautiful site that plunges you into the medieval era.
It is better to bring your meal to avoid waiting ... And their rates are very high. Pity...

There is no nicer attraction! Where is an original medieval castle built with medieval tools? And all materials are made on site. I wish I could participate.

Super castle to see absolutely if you are in the area. A very interesting building as much for the construction of the castle as the medieval life. It remains a tourist site but without the commercial side which is very nice.

We like it, or we don't like it. Yes it is a little expensive, but to live a few minutes, to make a good time is priceless. It may be missing interactive entertainment in period costume who knows ?? It is a place, for my part magical, restful to avoid, however on rainy days and large crowds. I like to go back there to see the evolution of this totally crazy project, a life-size kid's dream. Thank you to all these anonymous people who work on this site, hats off, you can be proud of yourself. well done

Nice work project with a lot of information, can also be great for children.

One star less for the wait at the snack bar under the wasp traps the unwashed salad that nibbles at the bite of the small butcher's piece requested rare served to the point (yes it was very thin) all for a fairly low price in report ! But concerning the site I have been very pleasantly surprised since my last visit which dates back to the first years of the site (only one tower built)

And very interesting to see all these people working in the old, the children are very interested and very friendly people, answers to questions easy, thank you all, be careful in rainy day predict the boots because a lot of mud, I would come back that the yard will be a bit more advanced!

Amazing living museum. An authentic medieval castle being built traditionally. It's like stepping into a medieval building site. Worth a trip, not just a detour.

A nice place to come with the family. To get there a road in the forest plain, well-equipped parking lot for the camps because it is planned to have returned by the cash desk possibility to take a city card no traffic flow for the visit (save the castle ... lairs in the shape of a castle green color for the direction of circulation) the different professionail workshops are missing this day I have the charm of the place and nice .. for the toilets they there may have come with the meal out of the bag where then come waters restaurant with hot dishes where cold a treat for the grandpas of the place to sit there a year ago ... to leave can go inside a shop ... Very good continuation and see you soon

A visit to be made at least once a year to see the evolution of the construction of this fortified castle.

You can enjoy it from children to adults. This is a place you should definitely visit even if you are not a fan of history and architecture. There are restaurants and take-out shops for lunch, but it is recommended to bring a picnic as it is a long line.

A magical place, craftsmen at the top, really talented in what they do, true passionate people who know how to talk with their heart of their passion. Super job.

Being passionate about the project and the medieval, what a disappointment for this 4th visit since 2006 !!! An experimental associative project based on a medieval construction site that takes the appearance of a consequent business that in my opinion denatures the project.
Entrance ticket becoming expensive, the prices of the shop absolutely mind-boggling.
A medieval site with brand new and modern buildings, it becomes incoherent.
The transmission of passion on the workshops is unfortunately less precise and invested than before. Different information 3 years later!
Beware of these drifts very important in my opinion that distorts the idea of departure.
It does not detract from the beauty of the project and the beautiful work done by workers passionate about this construction!

This is the third time that I have visited the site and the second time that I have spent a week as a builder: an exceptional and interesting site, super nice workers who explain their profession in a very didactic way.
A visit to be strongly recommended!

Ideal for lovers of the Middle Ages. A castle under construction using medieval methods and tools. It is possible to discuss their work with the workers there, it's really interesting.
And you can visit the castle under construction of course.
Catering is available on site with 2 choices of restaurants, and picnic areas are also available.

The shop is full of items in the theme, something to find happiness or make atypical gifts for different audiences.

Explanations of the guide a little long. I would have liked to see more on the site. We could not see the different trades represented. And at 17:30 U-turn at the pace!

I had been there 20 years ago that the walls were not a meter high. What a beautiful evolution. It's very interesting. Do not hesitate to stop at all the stands to learn more.

Teacher, I went with 50 students. A real living open-air museum, with volunteers always ready to answer your questions. One day is not enough to see everything, you have to plan to go back.

Splendid place steeped in history and knowledge, we learn a lot of things thanks to the different methods that we can discover during the walk on the site full of richness and discovery thanks to the teams who are on site
