My favorite zoo! Super beautiful place. This is such an amazing experience. I love all the animals. This oo is actually cheap on admission pricing. Its worth every penny. There's a lot to see and a lot to do.

We went to the light show which felt like a huge waste of time and money. The kids didn't seem to happy about it and it was a lot of money overall spent on food and drinks for a few minutes of lights in a few spots.

This zoo is okay, as far as zoo's go. I'm not going to bother comparing it with others Zoo's. It's great for a workout, and to occasionally see the animals, but it is often crowded, has terrible security and safety issues, and their animal care facilities seem to be more about visitors, than for the animals themselves.

Nonetheless, I'm giving it three stars, because if you live in the area, this is basically only choice when it comes to a local zoo.

The exhibits seem pretty run down. Not much character to the park. No snow leopard, black bear, jaguar, hippos. Most places only had one animal. Not much shade. I debated about going to san diego but wanted to go somewhere closer but not sure if it was worth it. Lots of walking between exhbits.

The carousel ride was nice, cool animals to sit on. Parking was plenty.

If you able to go to san diego zoo, i think youll enjoy it much better. If you been to the woodland zoo in seattle, the woodland zoo is way better. If you need an afternoon to kill this may be ok for little kids.

I can't believe how much has changed in the 30 years I have been coming to this Zoo. Now it is my kids favorite place to go. The Condor Consrrvation Center is a great place for kids of all ages. They have great member benefits too!

Fun Zoo with active animals. Adult price is $21, seniors over 62 are $18 and children under 2 are free. The zoo is close to Hollywood and China Town. There is also a small train inside the zoo that takes you around the zoo, you have to pay $10 adult and child $5.

The LA Zoo is a great escape from the concert jungle that LA is. With great exhibits like the jungle of the Amazon and the reptile pagoda. The bird show is only on weekends on weekdays they do an open training session. Also remember that there is a back road with a couple animals that people miss if not traveling by tram.

This is a fantastic zoo. It is large and can hold alot if people, but you dont feel crowded at all. Very well kept up and lots of employees to help you along the way if needed. It's a great place to see a good variety of animals and things to do. Tons of quiet places to sit out of the way and if the little ones get to rambunctious they have a huge play park to burn off the extra energy. The best moment for me was seeing the big bull (male) elephant with the large tusks. Been to many zoos and never see a elephant with tusks, besides he is a big ham and plays it up for the crowd. Definitely will go back!!

The zoo has a vast selection of animals to view, feeding the giraffes is a must since they are the most adorable animals I've seen. Seeing the animals is amazing by themselves but having the extra material to teach you about them is a great plus to have. I would highly recommend this place to anyone

Worth the $136 for a family pass (w/ student or military ID or senior) we would have paid about 90 for 2 adults and 3 kids under 12. They have a park for kids inside the zoo and you are allowed to bring food/drinks.

We went just to finally get out of the house and see some scenery in a safe way, and this did not disappoint. We love zoos-especially to do some amateur photography, and this is the closest zoo to us. It's a pretty normal, average zoo with some newer and some older enclosures, but you can still tell the animals are well taken care of.
The area is super hilly, so if you have a bad time walking (I walk with a cane), I suggest a motorized wheelchair or the tram if it's going (use the playground stop or the tram stop after that one to be generally going downhill then use the Australia stop to get back to the exit).
They have timed ticketing, all the circle exhibits blocked off so you can't go in (because they are too close but you can still peek in), some one-way-only, some food stalls and indoor reptile house closed, and a mask mandate for Covid-19 restrictions, but in all, you still get to see the majority of animals and definitely the favorites.

Its a cool spot to take my lil ones for a nice family day out. I got a family pass @ 150 for the year 2020. U can take food in for lunch/ snacks and there's a schedule bus u can pay for the day, cool if u go early u can jump on and off all day so less walking.and did i mention free parking?!

It was ok. Great ticket prices, but I wasn't too crazy about this place. Restrooms were clean, walkways were clean. There is alot of resting spots and shade. It was very packed, weather was hot and the lines to get something to drink or eat was just ridiculously long. The animals were just laying there. It was very boring and some of the habitats didn't seem very attracting to zoo visitors. I guess all that matters is if the kids enjoy it and if they're learning from their visit here, then it's worth the visit.

This zoo was one of the first zoos to arrange its exhibits by region instead of type of animal (all monkeys or bears together regardless of where they come from), and I like getting to see which animals would live together with each other. It's also a botanical garden (my parents say the first time they took me there as a baby, I just wanted to look at all the plants!), and the animals are in nice habitats. This is a favorite place for my family to take the kids, and they especially love getting to feed the giraffes! What a fun place!
