Very pleased with our stay here. The room was excellent and the pools were great. Loved the water elevator, lazy river, rope swing and the slides. I wished the diver session was longer and in the ocean and covered with ur stay. Prepare to pay $15 for mai-tai. I liked the molokini cafe, awesome wings and good burgers. Fish was good too.

I'm all about nice hotels-- but this place was just way too ridiculously big for being 1 building. The outdoor layout was beautiful and don't get me wrong, it's a nice hotel. But This place is WAY overpriced. And valet is required for $40 which is annoying (Even though they just park your car in a ramp...). Also when we were there, all of the pools were closed with no warning until we got there. the dining options in/around the restaurant were scarce, expensive, and seemed like they were closed due to how few people were there. There were no casual food options within walking distance... Definitely catered toward an older crowd as well.

Who wouldn't love the Grand Weilea?! Forty acres of beautiful grounds with a staff who lives to pamper you. Pure bliss. We did the luau, ate breakfast at the grand ballroom, and had a wonderful relaxing day in the spa. We also saw a movie star and watched a beautiful wedding take place in the on-site chapel. I can't say enough about this resort! If you can afford a couple of days stay (very, very pricey!!), do it!! We have no regrets!

BE BUG ALERT !!! let me be clear IT WAS DISGUSTING !!!! We found a bed bug in the room, it was awful, especially because it was the last day before we have to leave for the airport, you can imagine the stress level we had wondering if we were going to bring them back with us, to our apartment :( ......
you can check the video to see by yourself.... it was jumping everywhere.......!!!!!!!

I raised a complain at the desk, they said "we need to check the room first" although I showed them the video.... they brought a "post-it" and put my name and phone number on it and told me they will contact me in few days.....
Really ??? is it really a 5 stars hotel ??? where you pay $5000 for less than a week stay ?????

Anyways I wanted to talk to a local manager to be sure they will handle the situation and at least give us something in return, I exchanged with Aaron several times (on the phone only) and guess what after 9 months they have NOT DONE ANYTHING FOR US, not even a coupon or a discount to use.....

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED BY THIS 5 STARTS SERVICE.....

and to be honest the 4 SEASONS is literally next door, so you know where I am going next summer...... plus they have an amazing breakfast at the 4S

An amazing hotel concierge, almost anything we asked for they delivered. The resort was excellent. However 30 dollars to park your rental a day on top of a resort fee of $30 is advantageous. Overall it was an amazing stay and would love to be back in the future.

You will spend a small fortune to make some really great memories here... exceptional service, gorgeous grounds, but overall accommodations and value really don't justify the total costs. If you're thinking of going for that upgrade, it's probably worth it once ... otherwise, you'll never be in your room and they're all basically clean with the same amenities, furnishings, etc. Trust me on this, we stayed in four different rooms and locations over a two week period in September (long story). And you're already going to spend about $85 extra per day on mandatory resort and valet fees for those "free" greeting leis, a few "free" bottles of water, semi-slow wifi, beach umbrella or bike access based on availability, and a few other misc. things you likely won't ever use. Food, expensive meh. Humuhumu served us the worst we've ever had anywhere, but Volcano was pretty good and poolside convenient, while Kula Cafe had all day coffee along with a fairly decent mixed bag of sandwich type eats. Spa was quite a disappointment, 3 visits for everything from nails, to facial and massages, hydro-circuit... all very over-hyped and over-rated. Basically, the best part of staying at the Grand is the outdoor experience; absolutely stellar grounds for strolling! The pools are also awesome and so is the beach. And however crowded any scene might be at any given time, you can always move to some more semi-secluded spot (btw, ALL beaches in Maui are public by law, aka you can park yourself in front of another resort too). Overall, not bad ... just not fantastic either. Even with that said? At much better weekday room rates during non-busy times, we'd still go back just to skip down memory lane.

I went here to the spa for a couples massage. The massage was fantastic but even better was the water therapy stuff before and after. They have a variety of hot baths, steam, sauna, and waterfalls to tells in. That alone was worth the price of the trip. I look forward to coming again next time I'm in Maui

Really large luxury hotel that doesn't feel it. Courteous professional friendly staff that you would expect. The grounds are amazing blend of art, water features and tropical flowers. The real gem is the swimming pool complex that extends almost to the beach. Instead of one large pool, the system of smaller pools interconnected by slides is brilliant. You dont feel like you are surrounded by herds of people. On the negative side, your children may disappear out of sight for hours... hmmm maybe thats not a bad thing.

the Grand Wailea Maui was an absolutely beautiful Resort with a tropical garden, waterfalls, birds all over, Bridges and every type of tropical plant you can imagine. We had Thanksgiving dinner there in the humu restaurant and it was fabulous. The scenery was wonderful. The service was excellent. And the food was most delicious. Place was decorated for Christmas and had such beautiful poinsettias and other floral arrangements making it the highlight of the evening

This resort is amazing! If you ever have a chance to go, I highly recommend it. Everyone is so friendly, they go out of their way to make sure you're happy. The grounds are immaculate. Both pool areas are great, we loved playing in the activities pools and relaxing in the lazy river and hibiscus pool. The service in the cabanas is excellent. We loved the luau. My husband did a few days of scuba and couldn't say enough good things about how fun it was and how great the instructors were (he says Marc is amazing). We ordered room service extensively and enjoyed getting to lounge around and enjoy paradise, and this is the best place to do that!

AMAZING, GREAT, WELCOMING,HOMIE, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL...

AMAZING, GREAT, WELCOMING,HOMIE, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, KNOWLEDGEABLE, CLEAN, are a few of the 100 good things I have to say about this place. From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed. (Have never been to Maui or even HAWAII at all). Waited for a short time to get checked in and Carrie G. was more that happy to take care of us. You can tell she's great at what she does. We are here for a week and I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE. I can't stop raving about how amazing everything is. The views are breath taking. The rooms, halls, gardens, and pool are always clean and organized. My husband Rob and I haven't had luck with room service food before but the GW has changed that. We ordered in 2 days ago, we had the club sandwich and the burger w a side of soup. Everything has a great flavor and the burger was cooked to perfection. We got the package with the included breakfasts and everyday has been different and great tasting (always fresh). I can go on and on. Just come and see for your self.
