This used to be my favorite farm but has gone downhill last 2 years. It is under new management...I've been a customer for 42 years so I know what I'm talking about. Most of the produce is shipped in, the Staff isn't customer oriented, it's basically a country store..NOT a farm. The goats are on loan as an attraction to draw in people. The Farm is up for Sale, I hope someone buys it soon and turns it back to what it used to be..perhaps those days as gone.

This place is like a well oiled machine with activities for everyone; especially for kids. There are rides, a corn maze, animals that can be fed, pumpkins for picking, a restaurant with Umpqua ice cream, a trinket store, a sluice with running water for emptying gem filled/sand bags into and many painted cutouts for standing behind for comical photo taking. Expect to spend about $20+/person to take in all the activities. It easily takes a couple hours to enjoy everything. Seasonally speaking, this is an awesome experience for the family and could become a yearly event for building memories.
Fun family place. Goats to feed, playground, picnic area, food cart on weekends, ice cream, great variety of fresh produce. Specialty jams and various food products.
Beautiful fruits and vegetables, a feast for eyes and belly. Lots of processed foods inside, so easy to shop for whole meals. And goats-- what more could you ask for!
I recently moved back to Oregon from Arkansas. Lone Pine is SUCH a breath of fresh air. Lone Pine, you are a huge part of what makes Oregon paradise to me! <3
Your website said you were open today until 7pm. I drove out to your farm, going out of my way passing up many store options. Getting to the farm we see that your not open for a few more weeks. Please update your website so we others wont go out of their way to get fresh produce options if your not actually going to be open.
I was at lone pine today with my disabled client. I m highly Disappointed with them. I asked for some accommodations for him and was told they couldn t help. We left with no pumpkins and a very upset little boy. I will never go back to this place again.
The produce is usually good but not very many options for U pick. Their customer service is horrible. The food cart they have is horrible and way over priced. Do like the animals and the park.
New owner, higher prices, out-of-state produce getting shipped in now. Fired all the old staff and has now cancelled the haunted maze tradition. Don't patronize this farm anymore.
Lone pine is a lot of fun. Strawberries, pumpkins, whatever you feel like picking your family will enjoy themselves. Donuts and Cider are great. They go out of their way to make it a family fun environment. They even have a playground for the kids!
Used to love this place, prices more like a grocery store. High quality, local grown, but not any better than Market of choice or Albertsons, and a lot farther to drive
My review will go up if the haunted corn maze makes a comeback. The fact that so many people were upset and that years of tradition was pulled out from underneath us and their only response was sorry, for the kids has made me bitter for years and will continue to do so. The kids always had the daytime, the nighttime was for teenagers and the adults. They obviously don t care about their customers or what they want.
I love the farm and the choices they have I think they are a little too expensive especially when I have to drive a long ways. But I will still continue to go out there. My grandkids love the animals and feeding them. Wear all enjoy the hat ride yo pick pumpkins in the fall.
Great produce, friendly staff, competitive prices. I make sure to drive PAST Thistledown because Lone Pine simply has more produce compared to the flowers and birdhouses at Thistledown.
The cow train was a lot of fun for kids . People were friendly and took care of young passengers. My son liked the wheelbarrows for hauling pumpings. Beware, some of the produce is not local and terribly overpriced. Doughnuts were great!
Great selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. Two jungle gyms for the kids. Sand pit also. Families can feed the goats. $0.25 for a small scoop of feed. Great way to spend a couple of hours. Poke gym and poke stop avaliable for the kids
Lone Pines is okay. They have a good variety of produce, some pretty good and interesting pumpkins and are very kid friendly. They are just a bit too commercialized for my taste.
I bought a 5 gallon (?) tub of black licorice ice cream from them a couple of weeks ago for my mom and I (can't find it anywhere else) and after portioning out some for my mom to keep at her house and having a spoonful myself, planned to put the rest in our freezer. The next morning my mom asked me if I had eaten any, and whether I was feeling well. I had, in fact, been burping up sulfur-y like since the previous afternoon, and she told me she had been up all night with diarrhea and felt nauseated still. The color made it obvious that it was the ice cream that had caused it...I contacted Lone Pine that day to ask about returning it, and to let them know why in case there was some sort of bacteria issue. I ended up being "helped" by Denise, who was pretty abrupt with me and stated within two sentences that they would not be refunding my money. I was told I needed to return the ice cream to them and they would send it back to Umpqua for testing, and then deal with them directly. I thought that was kind of lame given that I bought it from them, it was not a special order since they had it in their freezer already etc. but she was pretty adamant about that. I did as I was told, although frankly I think that the proper thing to do would have been to either refund or at least offer a credit, considering they would most likely be credited by Umpqua (usual practice between vendors and distributors etc.)...Anyway, after several phone calls to Umpqua and a few days later, the test apparently came back fine, which was a relief considering what it could have been. The problem is that Umpqua didn't credit or refund either, and they said I should have dealt with that through Lone Pine!! It does make sense that this would be the standard procedure, but Denise at Lone Pine made it clear they should be left out of it. In fact, one of the Umpqua people told me they had mentioned to the owner, Dan, that if he refunded my money they would credit them back without issue, yet that was not offered to me at all. When I found that out, I called Lone Pine back, asked Denise why that happened and she denied knowing anything about a credit...she said she asked Dan and he didn't know either. To me, this had to be a lie, since they have carried Umpqua products for years, and I imagine they've probably had things sent back before and received credits--my situation can't possibly be the first??
Anyway, she was pretty rude to me and I found myself quickly losing my cool...She kept saying "You need to have Umpqua issue you a check and leave us out of it"...Nice way to stand behind the products you sell to people, and nice way to deal with customers. Clearly my mom was not going to be eating any more of that, and neither was I, and we were basically out the money, and the product, and got treated like crap and from what I can tell, lied to on some level. It would have been next to nothing for them to offer a credit on something else, which would have been fine, but they didn't even do that. Anyone who has shopped there should know that 25.00 wouldn't even be a full bag of produce, so it is just ridiculous the attitude they have.
My mom will never shop there again--she added up the four receipts she had from our trips there this year and it came to over 400.00 (not even including the ice cream)...I will never go there for anything ever again either.
Lone Pine Farms is a wonderful place to go. Bring the kids and enjoy the experience. There is plenty to do while you are there and the produces is high quality.
There is plenty of selection at Lone Pine and the staff is always pleasant and willing to help. They are a frequent stop for me and my family in all seasons of the year.
Produce was good, prices weren't too high. There was a lot more vegetables from places like Canada than I expected but still very good prices for very good stuff. The corn is amazing. Im looking forward to this fall for sugar pie pumpkins and other squashes. Their u-pick strawberry patch is always a treat to check out during May/June.
The staff here is rude and it is way over priced. If you want to sit in line half the day to be talked to from a jerk, this is the place for you! They suck!
I enjoy corn mazes. I enjoy understanding maps and how to use them to navigate. I took the family to enjoy a day of reading a map and navigating a corn maze and just enjoy a day at a farm. The day we went in the middle October they did not have any maps of the maze. We reluctantly used the question answer path for navigation. (BORING). I have no idea what the actual maze looked like. Why bother make an elaborate maze based on an illustration? A year prior it was interesting to find certain parts of the maze by interpreting the space you are based on the printed map that this year they did not have. The farm is nice and they have a playground. Lots of other paid entertainment.
Cute, with goats and chickens to feed, a place to find rocks. During the fall they have some rides but they're not great. Nice Farmers Market don't miss the kettle corn and the caramel corn.
I love Lone Pine for the nostalgia. We went there on field trips as a kid and they have the best pumpkin patch in October. There is a park out back which is fun all summer! Themed cut outs to take photos. They carry a pretty wide selection of fruits, veg ect but it seems most of it is not grown by Lone Pine. They also import some items from far away like pineapples and oranges. Whatever I can't find at Groundworx Organic or Thistle down I'll get here! Love having these farms so close to home. By far my favorite farm for events is lone pine! They serve ice cream by the cone & cookies. they also have a little food counter/cart when they expect it to be busy. They make the most delicious kettle corn. Oh and they also have activities like feed the chickens and goats, pan for rocks & an area you can rent for parties.
I use to love to go here. I didn't want to believe all the horrible reviews that Lone pine has received over the last year or so. But have to agree that they have managed to hire some of the unfriendliest employees I've ever encountered.
