Beautiful hotel with huge water parks. Water front with beautiful scene.
Beautiful hotel with huge water parks. Water front with beautiful scene.
Megakruto and megakrasivo. Though mega-expensive too.
The hotel is lavish. It beautiful. One of its kind. Came here for honeymoon. Staff super friendly. The pools are amazing. Lot of free events such as 1) Yoga in the beach every morning 2) hula dancing show 3) free scuba lessons 4) rent kayak, padal boards or surf 5) big breakfast buffet. Can also be made to go for your day trips 6) located in beautiful wealia away from the hustle and bustle of lahaina and kanapalli
The beach and pool area are both wonderful. Turtles galore at nearby beaches made for wonderful snorkeling.
Very nice hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location.
Just breathtaking. It is simply beautiful, great service, lot's of entertainment. The only unfortunate thing is that even after paying a high price for the stay, every little thing is an extra cost, and at over the top prices. Still, an amazing experience.
We loved the grounds, the staff and the facilities. Everyone was nice, the place was gorgeous and very clean. We look forward to the future with them!
Incredible experience. Was in for conference, everything was accounted for. Wasnt even available to take advantage of all features, because they've covered so much ground. Good gym facilitiew, great restaurants and staff.
Hotel is way too strict on pool policy which made the trip less enjoyable
This place is absolutely amazing. We are really enjoying our stay!
Never disappointed. Beautiful property with world class services and dining.
It is the real best. It was the best lodging on our Hawaii trip.
Great location, amazing pool and property, perfect for families. Staff is present and super friendly and helpful. We'll keep coming back to this hotel for sure.
Grand Wailea is beautiful! service was amazing and staff very friendly. valet parking and upon arrival received leis at the main entrance. Place was completely sold out when we went and resort seemed spacious enough to not feel crowded. forecast was rainy all week, but this area remained sunny while it rained in other areas, really good location. I am about half way through my 7 night stay, will repost once completely through my vacation. still have a luau, scuba diving, and complimentary photoshoot all here at the resort!
Awesome family experience.. wonderful staff .. a must do
Nice hotel. We stayed 4 nights. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly. The pools get busy early but the staff does a good job of setting you up on the beach and providing towels. The food is okay. The drinks are okay. Great location, easy to get to from the airport. If you need a car, you can rent on property. Overall, we had a good time.
We stayed in room 2050 with a view of the ocean and grounds. In our room, we had 2 queen beds, wish we could have gotten a king, but they go pretty quick. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous and very well kept. The staff was probably the friendliest we've ever encountered. What we enjoyed most was the spa. The Maui Water Hydrotherapy experience was one we suggest everyone take part in. Even if you don't get a massage, you can enjoy the hot and cold tubs, wet and dry saunas, the Japanese bathing stations, the Hawaii rainforest showers, the jet showers, and the 5 tubs with all natural scents and essential oils, each having a different healing properties. If you get a chance to stay at this resort, we highly suggest that you do!
Amazing hotel, on the expensive side.
The resort is beautiful, it has lotsss of pools, which are all connected by water slides, and you can hop from pool to pool. The pools open til 12 am and the water are warm always. It also features 4 separate hot tubs in different locations.
The rooms are huge, feels more like suites, we had the deluxe ocean view room on the 9th floor of the Molokini wing and it was great.
As a Hilton Honors Gold members we got complimentary continental breakfast which was convenient.
The service was mostly on the food side, the concierge agents onsite are so helpful and patient, we had two different agents sitting with us for 30 minutes and helping us with the road to Hana, pointing spots on the map and offering great tips.
The check in desk staff was no so pleasant at times, I asked for a late check out and got a solid refusal without any will to try and help.
They did allow us to use the arrangement room, which we used to take a shower before our late flight. Still I would expect as a elite member to have some more attempt to help.
The resort beach is beautiful, it has great clear water, and there is two reefs on both beach ends where you could Snorkel and see tonnns of fish! Just go to edges of beach, in the middle there are no fish.
The resort is so nice, the pools are great, we didn t want to leave. Just prepare to pay a lot, it is expensive (but worth it imo).
Don't skimp out.. go to the spa. Best in the world!
If you have kids, Grand Wailea is a must do. Beautiful, fun, relaxing - something for everyone.
I would not stay here again. The grounds are beautiful and there is plenty to do but the amount of extra charges and lack of basic services is very frustrating. For over $500 a night so much of the able to print a few pages are send a fax. Even a basic Motel six well I had to do that. And if there s going to be a charge it should definitely be something that is talk to the person upfront. I was just charge $55 to print and fax 13 pages. There was no sign Anywhere stating that there would be a charge. I went to the room marked business services I wouldn t any hotel and because it never alerted me that I was being charged even to go online assumed it was free as it is an every other hotel I ve ever stayed in. When I brought the complaint to the front desk they told me that there s nothing they can do because it is a private company charging me even though it shows it s the business room for the hotel. If I had known as advance I never would ve fax episode papers or I could ve done it from my cell phone for free. Everything else is also extremely expensive which is to be expected at a resort. Overall though just not worth the price of this stay
My husband and I attended the Grand Luau at Honua'ula. The experience began with a lei greeting and Aloha, photos with cast members of the luau, and then the service was excellent. The buffet was delicious with a wide range of choices. The performance was a wonderful collection of history in song, hula dance, and story. A tremendous experience in a lovely setting. It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary. Mahalo.
Beautiful setting and the room was comfortable and stylish.
Stayed here for a week and loved it. When you arrive you get a text if everything is ok and used that number to request reservations more towels etc it s so convenient. We rented a cabana and it was so worth it and the nachos were amazing. My teen son loves to play basketball and they have an indoor court you get the basketball from the spa front desk. The staff was so friendly and remembered my name and were so kind. I would recommend the Napua Tower you get light breakfast, afternoon snacks and evening refreshments. The evening food was amazing they had crab cakes, shrimp, assorted cheeses/meats, desserts, salad and so much more. I wish I was there now
We took our 7yr old son there for the day camp and he loved it, again. Plus mom and dad got to have an afternoon of SCUBA diving. They do a great job of entertaining the kids (even ukulele lessons this time) and he always asks if he xan go back the next day.
My wife and our 5 year old daughter were at the property mid October 2016. The staff and service were great. As a Hilton Diamond member we were provided with some coupons to receive discounts. The Spa was awesome. I highly recommend it to everyone. While they didnt have to do this, they provided us with a 6 seat cabana for the day. Thank you Grand Wailea. We had a great time.
All amenities you can think of are here. Very nice shopping and dining right on resort. However there is a wide range of shopping and dining in walking distance. Absolutely loved the luau that told the story of the island against the backdrop of a setting sun.
Great for kids. Room quality is okay. Service is great.
This place is huge. Nice rooms, great views, the pool is amazing and good service. Would go back to enjoy pool, slides, swim up bar, etc.
This is an amazing place to stay no matter your age or what your looking for. Great snorkeling, a safe ocean, and pools for kids and adults alike. The pool side drinks are a bit pricey but comparable to surrounding resorts.
Nice location... Services were great .but pretty average rooms
The mattress was horrible, which is hard to forgive at a place like this. Other than that, everything was great. Location is amazing, pools are fun, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was mediocre so I wouldn't pay extra for it.
Food is great. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They make it very easy to do basic water activities and excursions. The snorkeling right off the beach is good.
We stayed here for the second half of our honeymoon, and comparing our first hotel to this place was like night and day. The staff are friendly and competent, and the facilities are top notch. Unfortunately, the activity pools were closed for renovations during our stay, but the hotel offered plenty of free perks to compensate, including free breakfast and beach activities. Definitely plan on coming back.
The atmosphere is amazing. I felt that the staff and grounds did everything possible to make me feel "one with the spirit of Aloha". The location on the beach, with Molokini in the background, was perfect!
The Grand is the greatest resort on a great beach on the greatest Hawaiian Island!
Definitely go see Mark at the Botero! Great drinks and possibly one of the best sunsets ever!
By far this is one of the best family friendly hotel here in Wailea.
Nice property, too large for my liking. Stunning grounds and pool areas.
A beautiful place to visit... in order to experience everything u must stay a week or more..
This place has it all! Loads of pools to visit, massive indoor / outdoor lobby that is beautiful! Didn't stay there but visited there often. Had dinner at the restaurant with the straw roof (don't remember the name). And it was delicious. If your in wailea, you must walk the resort. I loved it!!
Beautiful setting that the staff works to maintain continually. Lush landscaping with winding trail that takes a couple days to navigate efficiently - but that's the point! You're not at home living the normal stresses. Restaurants are good but at a premium vs down the road in Kihei.
This is just another 5 Star Hotel Property on Maui. It's bigger than most of the other hotels. The pool is something that kids will spend the whole day exploring. Or swimming from one small pool to the other.
The unique factor is that there's a stained glass wedding chapel for weddings. It's smack in the middle of the hotel property. If you have a room nearby, you can watch wedding after wedding. I think they have weddings going on all day long and every day.
Top hotel on the island! Inquire about their exclusive club, Napua Tower. Step up your stay and never worry about drinks or food.
Went to the spa for a facial. The facial was wonderful and the staff was so very nice. However, the overall experience did not seem like one of the top 10 spas in the world. There were few places to hang your towel and many towels strewn on the floor and edges of the pools. Plastic cups all around and nobody to pick them up. The spa offered water, tea and a basket full of green apples. Tropical fruit would have been more appropriate for a spa in Maui, Cmon!
Nice setting for drinks by the beach but drink selection is not great and the whole pool area smells a bit gross.
Nice hotel. You can hike, walk, run around this property for days. Beach access and great decor. Most of the staff are nice and helpful. Only complaint the price is high to stay here.
This place had great service, very nice rooms, great views everywhere, very clean, the food at Amaisa is out of this world, great work out equipment, and it is easy to just charge it to your room. VALUE: it's maui and was worth it. CONDITION: We thought is was well maintained. FOOD: I'm not easily impressed and my dining was top notch and my drinks were a tall pour. We will return soon, Thanks to the staff for an excellent time. BalesTeam
Grand Wailea has the most beautiful setting and amazing amenities. The pools provide hours of fun and a soft sand ocean is just steps away. There are always attentive staff nearby to help with whatever you need.
The grounds were well kept and the pool and beach were beautiful. The rooms were clean and gorgeous. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great hotel for a resort vacation in Hawaii. A little bit Disneyland feeling when you're walking around but a great experience overall. Make sure to try the water elevator
Came here for the brunch, the service was fantastic and food... Just amazing! I didn't stay here since I have family on the island. Decided to do a day trip and be a beach bum on the beach. Mahalo!
Needs more lifeguards and service around the pool but all other services were top-notch.
Great stay! The resort is beautiful and the staff is wonderful!
I went as part of my family - we went for a family trip. We signed for two weeks
Our stay was excellent! The food was amazing, the entire crew was top notch and as good as they come. The Grand Wailea team will make sure your stay is amazing. One name stays out and that's a gentleman named Rolex!!!!! He took the time to escort me across the entire hotel. Its folks like this who ensures a wonderful relaxing vacation. Rolex even thank me as a customer for coming. Great Job Grand Wailea Team. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!
Married here 20 years ago in an amazing once-in-a-lifetime wedding! So incredibly sad they will be tearing down the chapel. We stopped by to take pictures for our 20th anniversary before it's gone. Both my teenage daughters have dreamed of getting married here like their parents did and now that will never happen :(
Not great timing for weather. Very windy and cold. Hotel beautiful and friendly people. Great housekeeping too. Movie, Just go with it was filmed here.
5 star resort with 4 star service. Humuhumunuknukuapua was a bit of a let down. Slides are awesome. Staff were sometimes helpful sometimes ambivalent. Good place for families.
This place is AWESOME!!! A little pricey but what a beautiful hotel!
Resort grounds are beautiful. Plenty of pools with a new slide that was planned to open after we left. Plenty to do at resort and a small shopping and dining plaza a short walk away adds more restaurant options. Parking is valet only so be prepared to call ahead for your car for the best experience.
I went to the Grand Wailea to have dinner with my family at Humuhumu. First of all, finding the way to the restaurant was quite confusing, with many turns and barely any signs of direction. When we finally found it, we alerted them that we had arrived and took a seat. We had previously made a reservation for 7:15 and we were early, however we were not seated until 7:30. It was very crowded, but the hosted led us to a table. We began to look over the menu when she returned not even 2 minutes later and asked us to move as "someone wanted this table." So, frustrated as we were, we followed her to another table which she "was told it was ready" and it was not. We ended up leaving and going to a different restaurant.
The resort was outstanding. Especially the pool is big and has multiple water slides. Our family had a great time and we will definitely come back!
Room was nice and updated but the place is just way too big with me too many people and not enough chairs
Dated rooms and the property is way too big to be comfortable. Get a golf cart shuttle.
This hotel boasts a luxury experience backed by the name "Waldorf Astoria" but delivers nothing of the sort.
The guest rooms are tired and old. The furnishings look worn and dated. There is a surprising lack of power/USB outlets for a hotel operating in 2020.
The shower tiles were utterly gross. Grout was moldy/missing.
The building itself looks like it belongs in Miami circa 1985. The exterior walls are painted a stale shade of peach and the white accents are peeling, dirty, and most definitely not kept up.
There is a Marriott Residence Inn just up the road which looks more inviting, at least from the exterior.
Valet parking is required for a fee of $40 per day and it turns out you can't even call ahead from your room to have your car retrieved. Instead, you're treated to a long line at the valet desk where you wait to give your name, and then continue waiting for your vehicle. I would much rather self park and come and go as I please, but if you're going to force me to use your valet, you should offer a quality service.
The pool staff is obsessive about wristbands and, to their credit, it makes sense to ensure that the pool amenities are for use by guests only. However, they made it a point to tell me not to take my bracelet off after a morning swim, as I would only be allowed one per day! (Really!?)
This hotel lacks many of the luxury touches that you deserve if you spend the money to stay at a Waldorf Astoria property.
On the bright side, the staff is friendly for the most part, and the pool facilities are very nice.
I stay in many hotels each year for business and have Hilton Diamond status. Usually I'm not looking for any of these amenities, but on a big and special trip to Hawaii, one you're not likely to make very often, wanted a top notch experience.
There are definitely nicer hotels in Wailea, just down the road. You can walk to them along the beach, and I checked them out. I wish I hadn't made this mistake, and hopefully this review will help you to avoid the same.
If I am fortunate enough to visit Hawaii again in the future, I would NOT stay at this property.
The outside areas are tropical and inviting but the building needs major investment. The greatest shortfall is the guest experience. Hilton needs to spend a lot of time rethinking - so that guest experience is more considered for today's customer.
Fantastic resort. Amazing pools, friendly staff, great rooms. The best resort I've ever stayed at.
The location was great. It was right next to the ocean. It was very luxurious. The service was excellent. I enjoyed the humuhumu. The rooms we're very spacious.
We checked in for our honeymoon, but we soon checked out. My husband has medical needs that the hotel was uneducated about, and they mishandled an urgent medical situation. He is still recovering in hospital, but the staff at Grand Wailea evicted us without any medical service. My friends warned me about the ignorance toward medical attention before I checked in, but I hoped for the best. The staff said they hadn't rehired a medic in over ten years. So if you are healthy and don't hurt yourself...I wish you luck because they don't care whether you live or die....Tom the absent gm....
Good show, unlimited drinks, delicious foods at reasonable price, better than what I expected
You can't go wrong here. The setting is paradise. Warm ocean. Gentle waves. Soft sand.
Pretty palms.
5 star resort.
Lazy river
Water slides
Swim up bar.
What else do u need?
Grandly Expensive - there is no more expensive experience on Maui than this. Forty bucks for breakfast and twenty-three more for a burger. Expect to leave a tip too. The rooms are small and the parking is extra. If money is no object, you will like this place.
Not all staff is nice and the rooms are very dated. However the property is very nice!
Unbeatable service and hospitality! Waldorf living to its name!
I've been here twice and I still can't get over it. The next time I go to Maui, I'll definitely try to go back to the Grand Wailea.
I only came here for the Lua'u and was blown away. I hope I can stay there one day but for now it was great to walk around and see what the place has to offer.
