Great food and amazing view.
Living up to Grand Hyatt's reputation for services, decor and comfort, the lobby of this hotel is on the 54th floor and its lounge is on the top, 87th floor with a 360 degree seating area, so you could imagine the views, looking down at the river and the city on both sides. Commute to and from both sides are also convenient, if you don't mind the 10-15 minutes walk to IFC, while you enjoy the views of Pudong and Puxing. IFC has many restaurants and shops.
I've never stayed here, so I can't write a review about the rooms, but it's a wonderful place to have lunch! The interior atrium reminds me of the Galactic Senate in Star Wars.
It was a very enjoyable stay at the tallest hotel in Shanghai. We recommend this excellent hotel because you love it. The staff is excellent, caring and polite and they do the job of making money. In short, everything I say about this hotel is still small. It also has great breakfasts
Lovely rooms, well serviced. Staff also are very nice indeed. Only area of improvement would be the cafe on level 54. Buffet breakfast is not cheap and, in particular weekends, the food in the buffet is often completely empty on the western food side. I waited around for 20 minutes and noone replenished empty pots - had to settle for bread and jam as I was in a hurry (on business). I now eat elsewhere, there are good places across the road.
Totally worth it for my business trip..
And this is at the place where most of the company are there..
A beautiful modern hotel with an amazing view of Shanghai. Professional, polite service at a high level.
You can feel clean and luxurious. We used for honeymoon! I highly recommend it!
Just right for me...view is fantastic and near to the office
Nice and comfortable hotel. River view is worth an upgrade.
Top Hotel, excellent location! Top service. Thank you very much!
High standard hotel in Pudong. Magnificent view of the 81st. Walking, great facilities, gastronomy and services. No exceptions! Highly recommend!
Hyatt Well-known good service, a unique location with a very nice view in Pudong
Since 20 years the Jin Mao tower is an iconic landmark of Shanghai. Grand Hyatt hotel is one of the most exciting places to stay, where you can find the quality service of a world class hotel and the thrill of a building which has just a few comparable worldwide. The stunning view of Shanghai panorama outside is astonishing in pair with the breathtaking view inside, where the hall roof is something like 100 m above your head, and surrounded by the rooms corridors. An experience you have to take at least once in a lifetime.
Located in the financial center. High-rise suites overlook the view. Haven t lived in such a high floor hotel on the 80th floor.
The location of Jinmao Grand Hyatt Hotel is located there, the service awareness is also good, with the fastest speed to help the guests to go through the formalities, try to meet the requirements of the guests, the room is not big, but the river view is very good, and the store can be free parking very Convenient, the only regret is the breakfast in the morning, although there is invincible river view but it is slightly rough, and a little difference with the five stars.
Located in Lujiazui near the Oriental Pearl Tower. Almost fully equipped facilities and most of the staff are friendly and polite.Great view of the city. We were given a room on a high floor. Loved the electric curtains. Loads of plug / USB sockets to charge phones and camera. Club lounge was awesome!...
jaw dropping views of the city, floor to ceiling, makes you feel like you are in heaven looking down on earth
Great hotel with an excellent bar on L87 - In The Cloud.
View is splendid, room is spacious and service is professional.
Great value and good service . Everything has been great since the beginning . Large rooms with nice views , clean interior and attentive staff.
We wanted to get tickets for a show and the concierge got exactly what we wanted wuickly and efficiently.
Good location, there is a department store nearby, not far from the University Street! But breakfast pop, and breakfast coffee... not too good
If you thought that you have seen the best hotels in the world, stay at this hotel first!
I find it amazing from the outside and from the inside! For those who still believe that the reception has to be right at the entrance on the ground floor has to learn how modern luxury hotels receive you and welcome you. In this case it's on the 54th floor. Really a very nice hotel with all the facilities that you can expect from a super hotel in a super location! Enjoy!
Hotel located in the Jin Mao Tower in the heart of Pudong. Fantastic location, spacious rooms and excellent breakfast. Excellent and functional spa and pool. The central atrium is to be seen.
In the three tall buildings next to Lujiazui, I have always preferred Jinmao. The texture of the metal structure is more old and more connotative. The three Hyatt hotels on the Huangpu River in Shanghai are still the most favored Grand Hyatt, a strong imperialist temperament, low-key and calm.
The standard of the hotel is not to mention, hyatt can maintain high quality service all over the world, plus comprehensive and excellent hardware facilities. The room is facing the river, sitting in the sofa by the window at night, and the mood is wide open. People can change at different heights and think about problems. The room size is slightly smaller than the room type of several hotels next to it, but after all, people have such a high and wide atrium leading to the top floor. It is very imposing.
The most impressive thing about breakfast is the variety of small breads. There are quite a few other types to choose from, and the ingredients are fresh and pleasing, and they are compact and refined. If you come early, you can sit at the window and watch the sky light up a little bit. It is occasional that the service staff is chatting privately.
The number of people who waited for breakfast at the end of the weekend was quite scary. The speed of the food update is obviously not enough to keep up, and the quality has also declined. Fortunately, the service is still good from start to finish.
Hot. Although expensive. But you get a lot for it. Started with a brilliant view. Great spa area with sauna, swimming pool, gym, ... great breakfast, rooms are big and clean. I can only recommend the hotel. At the reception also Germans work.
The place is amazing with a stunning view and great overall setup. The service though is irregular, and sometimes have the tendency to go rather low.
Luckily the amenities are great, especially the pool with a stunning view over the Pudong CBD area.
Could be great...
The guestrooms are average in size. Amenities advertised on the website did not exist. The drains were presumably clogged and extremely slow to drain, causing the shower to overflow with each use. Service was mediocre and the restaurant food was low quality and overpriced. The only saving grace is the convenient location to public transportation and local sites.
This was my primary hotel for business trips but I'll now be staying elsewhere. It's a decent hotel but their service is below the standard for this class of hotel. Most of the staff were fine but the tone of the room service operators was often reluctant and sounded as if taking my order was a burden. The taxi queue staff were below expectations and seemed to ignore you until you called out to them. The new "World of Hyatt" loyalty program also reduced perks.
The hotel is 5 stars but it doesn't care customer and also not provide service for customer need.
Hotel staff didn't often stay in lobby to provide necessary service to roomer. Plus staff in floor one lobby always bowed their heads. They didn't care roomer need service or not.
Hotel staffs don't know private rule and customer data protection. Issue was requested hotel staff to prepare invoice. When I showed the invoice details in mobile phone, the hotel staff took my mobile phone to backyard room without asking me.
One of the best view of Shanghai...with jacuzzi and champagne
Unforgettable vacation! Spacious room with a fantastic futuristic view, perfect service, food, location near the luxury shopping center - absolute perfection!Amazing swimming pool, gim and spa. Highly recommended!
The suites here are very well equipped, the facilities are complete, the scenery is superb, the front desk service makes people say nothing, the early varieties are many, the juice is super delicious. Let me be surprised, I will definitely come next time!
Very classy hotel with really spacious and elegantly decorated rooms, comfortable and very clean.
The stay went wonderfully.
A luxury hotel in one of the super tall buildings (Jin Mao Tower). We stayed as a family at 80th storey with river view. Awesome view. Night view of the skyscrapers' light show is amazing. Hotel room is big, clean and comfortable. The curtains totally block the morning light and you might think it's still night time. In the building itself has some good small restaurants at affordable price. Good stay, great location.
The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and nicely appointed. I really enjoyed the Hyatt club near the top, where there were nice views, comfortable seats and tables, a very nice and helpful staff, and good food and drinks. I drank coffee and read and worked with my laptop happy and productive there.
WOW hotel on internet services, and do not recognize foreign reservations on your Rewards.
Rooms are too small, and no buffet food variety.
Nice hotel, but several opportunities to follow.
Food schedule service is so tight that do not match to visitors food schedules.
Facilities such as pool are substantial and the view is good, too.
Hotel with the highest lobby in the world, to see. You can take the internal lift and go to the Observatory at the top.
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Amazing service and quality rooms
one of the excellent facilities in shanghai we stayed for two days , i night
CI is great, upgraded the river view room, and sent it to the door of the room; breakfast choices, quality is also good, that is, the breakfast setting is too cramped; the lobby concierge is very polite and responsive. Recommended!
Great view and fantastic location but poor breakfast. As a 5 star hotel, the orange juice is not natural.
The view is amazing when the sky is clear, check out the piano bar while you are there
The location is convenient, the view is very good, the service is also very good, at least more intimate than the next door ph. The price is also in the right range of luxury. For a comprehensive comparison, I think it is a good choice for a similar price position.
Did not stay at the hotel but did spend couple of hours at the skybar on floor 87. View was simply amazing - get to see the Bund and the various skyscrapers lit up at night. The food and drink was pretty good. Normally they would charge a cover charge for non-hotel guest to go into the bar but the manager waived the fees for us.
I love this hotel, with convenient access to the IFC. Anything that starts 40 stories up is going to be good, and lobby sports one of the best views of the Bund out there. The only downside: not so convenient to the left bank.
Location very convenient from Lujiajui station. You can walk on the elevated walkway right in front of the station to the hotel. Room is cosy modern.
The Jin Mao Tower is already top - but the jewel is the Grand Hyatt! Spacious rooms and super bathroom! Top clean & great service!
My stay was rlly good
I love it
The AC didn t work very well during our stay!
The jacuzzi and sauna area was very nice
Great hotel experience. My trip was extended another week, and the hotel worked with me. They were amazing! Rooms were clean, staff was excellent, the service was exceptional. The restaurants offered a variety and were very tasty.
The view from the clean and clean room and from the room is wonderful.
The most dramatic lobby in the world. Beautiful, modern, comfortable rooms. Food and service need improvement. Location is in a comercial area called Pudong - easily accessed by subway.
This was my 2nd trip to Shanghai. The last one was in Sep 2015- both business trips. I had stayed in the Ritz Carlton. This time chose Grand Hyatt because this was less expensive than the Ritz and is within walking distance to my office
I guess it is a new trend that you are welcomed at a lower floor and you are then whisked up to a floor 50 storeys above for check-in. Ritz C in Shanghai and Tokyo and now the GH in Shanghai. It can be a trifle irritating to go to the 54th floor, change lifts and then head to your room especially when you realise you have forgotten something in the room.
Check-in
Was pretty good. We were about 4 people who came into Shanghai in the same flight and reached the hotel at the same time. So the reception was a little overwhelmed suddenly- but I guess that might be happening often and the hotel should know when the bigger flights come in- say EK or SQ . It took about 5 minutes before someone attended to me. Was a breeze after that.
Room
I got a room on the 82nd floor- 8201. It was huge. Bedroom, living room etc. It must be almost 800 sq. feet. Very luxurious, 2 TVs, large size bed, huge cupboard, nice alcove at the entry. There was nothing about the room I can say was not excellent.
Washroom
Again huge with a bathtub, separate shower area with regular shower and those horizontal jets at 2 levels, large wash basin area. Very luxurious.
Food
Had dinner at Club 9 on the 87th floor. Again you go up to the 85th, walk across the floor to another bank of lifts and then go up to the 87th. Pretty decent. Closes at 1AM.
I reached there immediately after I checked-in- around 1230 AM. The food selection is decent- nothing great ( I guess it is a bar that's why), the wine selection (by glass) poor- only 3 and none of them anything to write home about. 2 out of the 3 were not available and the lady proffered another one- not on the menu- Jacob's Creek Shiraz Cabernet- avoidable in most circumstances.
Service was excellent in Club 9
Service
Outstanding service across the hotel. Everyone was very helpful. Service is 110%
Location
Excellent location. Not the Bund area but then you stay in this part because your meetings are nearby. It is right next to the IFC Mall- which has all the brands of the world, and then some.
Will I go back again- yes, for work and surely with family
Stayed June 2016, traveled on business
Very good hotel. Nice view with window. Food was delicious.
Located in Lujiazui near the Oriental Pearl Tower. Almost fully equipped facilities and most of the staff are friendly and polite.Great view of the city. We were given a room on a high floor. Loved the electric curtains. Loads of plug / USB sockets to charge phones and camera. Club lounge was awesome!
I stayed this hotel about 3~4 times. Always enjoying it. However, since the Shanghai trade center was built, lost so much the river view but oriental pear view is still a beautiful sight~~~~ I will keep coming back~~~
Wonderful hotel with 5 star service. Great views and nice rooms
A luxury hotel with great views. You get what you pay for but nothing more.
Great well-located Hotel in Shanghai with an amazing view from the room. The breakfast is also quite rich. The rooms are quite big and comfortable. Recommendation!
An amazing hotel with great service especially for foreigners who aren't familiar with the local language. It's also right in the hub of the financial center which is great especially if you have business in the area. However, it can be not so ideal as well if you're planning to go outside of the area itself. Other than that the rooms were spacious with a beautiful view overlooking the city. The inside of the hotel is quite unique too!
Wonderful Hotel with a great view, a large variety of included amenities, outstanding breakfast/dinner and the most exceptional service I have experienced in any Hotel so far.
The soundproofing between adjacent rooms was lacking a bit, but that's really the only critique I have.
Everything met expectations, including the Vund view from the room.
A decent luxurious hotel in Pudong district of Shanghai. The room has newly updated technology, Gmail access and spectacular view. The staff are professional, warm and fluent in English, as they also deliver free fruit as courtesy. However, on the morning, they messed up the signs of check-in and check-out, which wasted me several minutes waiting in wrong place.
Returned for a 2nd visit to Shanghai and returned to the Grand Hyatt. The hotel is atop the elegant Jin Mao tower. The rooms are clean and comfortable and most have grand views over the city. If you spend extra for a Club room, you can enjoy buffet breakfast and evening (self-serve) drinks and appetizers. The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. Highly recommended!
It s a great hotel. I was told that I could upgrade my room for free at the front desk even though it was on a weekend, so I prepared a nice room. In the room, you can see the powerful scenery of the center of Shanghai 180 degrees, and the night illumination of the buildings was also a masterpiece. I felt tremendous momentum in China. It was very unnecessary for one night. Also, when I left the room, I was overwhelmed with a large atrium that seemed to be inhaled. It is a dynamic design that seems to be Chinese. Please be sure to use it when you visit Shanghai.
Like their buffet. Everytime visit Shanghai always go there, moved from 54F to 56F.
The rooms on 85th floor are nice with excellent views. It s an older hotel and you can tell as it s a bit dated but service is exemplary nonetheless.
One of the best hotels to stay in when you are in Shanghai whether it's for work or leisure. A great retreat within the city.
