Camping "Les Almadies" Review

No reception at the time of our arrival and in general the staff is not very pleasant. The sanitary facilities and the swimming pools are really dirty. Nobody respects the rules of hygiene nor the silence at night. The campsite itself could be nice but I must have fallen into a period when all the campers thought they were alone. We had packed our luggage after two days, it was so unbearable.

What to say ? Not much ha yes no bad no pool atmosphere and other unsuitable I do not recommend this camping tohapi a big draw a star because I can not zero

This campsite deserves its 4 stars. Spider webs by everything. The mobile home was not clean. Traces of water infiltration on the walls. The mattresses are not terrible. The animations are not top. The water in the pools is cold. Fortunately there are nice places to see in the area and good restaurants. I will not go back to this campsite.

A perfectly correct 4 * campsite. We spent a weekend there at the end of April. The welcome is impeccable, the team is friendly, a mobile home for 4 people that is clean and perfectly well equipped. Considering the season, it was unthinkable to swim at the beach, however we did a very relaxing little barefoot walk there. In addition, it is only 3 km from the campsite. On the other hand, we took advantage of the indoor swimming pool. The other facilities offer quality services, both in the restaurant and in the pizzeria. Warm atmosphere also at the bar. The region also offers a lot of possibilities, La Tranche Sur Mer, La Rochelle, Fort Boyard, the Chateau de Terre neuve or that of Talmont Saint Hilaire, the Marais Poitevin, and so on. Frankly, it was a great experience to repeat.

Very very average mobile home.
When we arrived the shower seal was moldy, we had to ask maintenance to do it again.
The mobile home was leaning towards the back and we could not close the toilet door. Contrary to what was announced to us by camping and co through which we went for the reservation, no possibility of having television.
Aging mobile home. The aisles not lit at night. The bar, the grocery store closed from September 1st and more entertainment the team is resting as they mark on the board.

We have just spent 15 days at this campsite which was correct for us. The staff welcoming a lot of activity. The children could play quietly there was a lot of security that was running. The nights were very quiet with no noise. The staff as well as the other campers were all masked in the areas where we were many restore grocery activity. The mobile home was a bit small but with a covered terrace it was very appreciated. The mobilom was clean. The only downside is that the swimming pools are not heated, even the supposedly heated indoor one. On the other hand, they were all very clean. We were happy with our vacation and this campsite is close to everything to visit. We will be back

Nice campsite with a good atmosphere. Personally, I find the mobile homes a bit small, with a slight lack of space. But otherwise very well equipped, also well located.

4 days spent in peace at the end of May. The front desk staff was super friendly. We had a fairly comfortable mobile home, the kitchen was a bit small although convenient. The entertainment was great, indoor pool nice and well maintained.

Very big disappointment upon our arrival.
You should know that we have reserved a Mobile home for 3 for 1 week at 900 euros (almost a salary ...) .. We therefore expect a minimum. The shock having seen the location of the reception and especially the bar .. right in front of the departmental road and the parking lot .. as well as the children's play park which is located almost on the parking lot .. no desire to land have a drink ..
Cleanliness is not a strong point here .. yet 4 or 3 star campsite we do not even know ..
The mobile home was dirty and dilapidated .. 900 euros anyway ... And I want to say that it does not disturb anyone when we came to part of the cleaning at the reception .. they only took note with a huge smile (they know very well how it goes) ..

I'll be brief .... go elsewhere if you want a good holiday. Mobile home obsolete and dirt unimaginable, the staff even told us that ours was clean (after the passage of my vacuum yes yes I took it) because others had cockroaches. Our room was very dirty, until we found sanitary napkins on the floor in the toilets, the greasy and dusty tableware on the back ... torn curtains, we spent 2 weeks in trouble, gas problem that we were finally repaired the middle of the second week after my plumbing lead to the home, cut water and electricity then leak under the sink we will have had everything. Fight at night with cries of frightened children, no respect for traffic schedules at night, my son was repressed to the kid's club it was not his time, the pool was not clean besides nobody did not take advantage of the ocean is cleaner and everything we answer each pb ah yes it's not normal we are sorry. The pb does not really come from the staff they can not afford to work well, the housekeepers have only 2 bags with 2 - 3 bricolage to clean the accommodation not even a cart and a vacuum cleaner at the reception they must not have more means, they offered us 3 places free at the aquarium, the gesture is there but not the means to make us a pleasant holiday. Disappointed services for a 4 star. Mobile home ok, but no groceries, poorly maintained bar and schedules, no room with screen even for the World Cup football (obligation to go to the bar RN function of opening hours and therefore consume) . Hospitality employees neither always friendly nor efficient. On the other hand bravo to the technical staffs friendly, fast and friendly. In short considering the water area is just a 3 stars.

Pool photo is not theirs as for the outside. Indoor pool no heat heating problem so called. Snak not top. responsible never available they avoid us. No hot water at low pressure that has high pressure. no heating in low season, coverage not enough for the low season. Inadmissible of never seen! Come back to our home the next day !!!

And also the host of the food was dirty otherwise all in all it was really perfect to welcome the counselors were very kind and very friendly the entertainment was nothing to say about everything else that was really great have not Have a really good holiday my not worth 4 stars here.

Upon arrival we understand that this is not at all what we expected. It's a factory. Guests scream and complain as soon as they arrive. The pool is cloudy. The sites are not cleaned or maintained. Dirty mobile home. Zero null animation. In short, I do not recommend it. The collective barbecue is paying . Empty supermarket. What to say? I am a tourism professional and I have never seen that.

Currently on vacation we were afraid of negative opinions but we are lucky to have a really impeccable mobile homes.
A priori it is a well-maintained, clean, well-placed private mobile home, no complaints.
The reception was at the top we arrived well before the time of handing over the keys it was ready and we had the right to take possession of it.
Really it was very nice because the campsite did not have to.
In short ! the pool admittedly a bit small compared to the number of campers but clean.
The activities we cannot judge we do not go.
We still have to spend a week there and frankly we're really happy.

The maintenance staff is responsive the little worries were quickly fixed. Balance home very long we arrived at 17h and got the keys at 20h!? !! We went to the Almadies campsite for a 1 week holiday in July! We were very disappointed with the campsite for various reasons:
- Mobile home in poor condition. No door of the mobile home closed. Block door of the terrace broken ...
- Lack of hygiene. We had to clean our mobile home when we arrived. Dry coffee filter in the coffee maker, stains on the walls. in short, inconceivable in this period of epidemic
- No social distancing
- Very high lawn around the mobile home. Bad maintenance.
- Very expensive grocery store
- Lots of noise until late at night

One thing is certain, we will not be going back!

In 2016, this campsite was at the top. Today, as soon as we arrived at the mobile home, we had the unpleasant surprise that the site was small and that we could not put our vehicle, just our trailer. Indeed, on the site there is a fire hydrant in the middle of the entrance which prevents the passage of a vehicle. The interior of the mobile home was very used (very damaged bench, the crockery very limited and broken for some items, the damaged ceiling and damaged and rusty fridge) and without counting on the outside (broken armchairs, broken and torn parasol),

Our first instinct was to go to the reception so that we could be explained, first, where we can park our car or exchange mobile home.

We are received by a person named Marine and for whom obviously this was not his problem. Having said that the campsite was full so no possibility of changing, the only thing we are offered is to put our vehicle in location 261 because the mobile home cannot be rented because the lock is broken. We asked to speak to the Director who has been there for 2 months, he too did not take our demands seriously. Really disappointing reception staff. We had to travel twice to retrieve a correct parasol. Do you find that normal ????
It is a lack of professionalism, organization and consultation between them.

After a week, Marine came back to tell us that we had to move our car because the mobile home at 261 was going to be rented out when it was out of use. Unpleasant surprise, We had to insist on having another parking space but obviously she did not quite know how to do it. She told us to park on site 158 where the animators are staying. A superb location with plenty of space. We find it unfortunate that customers are not staying in the same boat.

There is no security, the entry barriers to the campsite do not work. This phenomenon has already been encountered in 2016. In addition, during the day and in the evening, we were extorted by young people who were not camping.
The only positive point will be Sylvain for these aquagym classes and Elsa for these gym classes.

First and last time in this campsite. Cheap and rather quiet but other than that it's very good ... There is a bar restaurant inside but managed by exteriors, so open to profitable hours, during meals what the rest of the time c is closed, not too much camping atmosphere ... With prices rather brewery than camping. On Sunday evening, the space used for the animation, a kind of courtyard not closed, was squatted squarely by this restaurant to enlarge its terrace, the campers did not even dare to settle for the animation and most are remained standing at the bottom of the yard, the week was starting well ... Otherwise, the mobile home was downright old with lots of broken elements. In short if you have a little more to put, go elsewhere ... This said the campsite staff was rather good and pleasant. Worst camping I have done so far, dirty mobile home on arrival, a horrible smell in the mobile home there was almost no .... No activity for children, all canceled because the host The pool was small, cold, dirty and nothing good. At the start the check of the mobile home was done very quickly the person looked at the bed slats if they were not broken if the windows were properly closed but did not look at the cleanliness of the mobile home made cleaner than at the reception

We had a very good stay. We had a very comfortable, well appointed, spacious and clean mobile home. Our location was great, not too far from the pool, nor too close. All the campsite staff (activity leaders, snack bar, bar, grocery store, creperie, pool supervisors, etc.) were very pleasant and friendly. The snack is good (the prices maybe a bit high for some pizzas, for fries).
The bad reputation of the campsite is surely due to the poor education of certain families and their incivility: pebbles being thrown into the swimming pool at night by the young people which causes the delay of its opening the next day, surely the same young people who urinate on the walls of the grocery store while the sanitary facilities are less than 20 meters away, rubbish once again left by young people on the volleyball and basketball courts. Huge maintenance work by the campsite technicians every morning to put everything in order.
It is a shame that there are no shuttles late at night to attend the downtown festivities.

Stay from 08/22/20 to 08/29/20: Clean mobile home however we had a mobile home with a wooden camping table which is not very practical when traveling with small children especially when 'we are asked for the ages of the people we would have to adapt according to the information, especially since there were some free with tables and chairs; swimming pool we will say correct, it is necessary to leave the outdoor swimming pool, to pass in front of the reception etc before being able to reach the indoor swimming pool. Staff friendly but not very responsive: we asked 3 times for the inventory sheet and something to wash the mobile home, we had nothing. Children's play areas are good, barbecues are plentiful, not a lot of activity on offer. The small grocery store opens too late, no light in the aisles at night. We reserve a 4 star, we arrive there are only 3. Too bad.

Cleanliness is far from being their strong point, we had to clean and disinfect everything on our arrival. Very dirty indoor pool too. First and last time for us.

This campsite deserves not these stars, the electric pylons are on the ground, the mobile homes are really glued, the dilapidated. Inside is scary, between traces of moisture, torn curtains, catches that is dislocated and so on .. The Camping Service are not particularly kind .. Fortunately the place is very beautiful which raises a little morale

Housekeeping is poor in sanitary ... otherwise great evening ..

Cold indoor and outdoor pool is not up and running in May disappointed

Quite noisy campsite during the day, like at midnight or 1 a.m., we booked a 4 campsite on tohapi but arrived there, it is in fact a 3 campsite.
Power cut when it starts to rain ... indoor swimming pool NOT heated, however indicated as heated, little washing machine compared to the surface area of the campsite.

Beware of the 4 stars we are far from the account! Indoor pool tiny or even dangerous downhill slides directly in the only pool! No cloakroom to change from this forced to cross the campsite in swimsuit wet 15degres out ...
Mobile home non TV team, humidity spots on the ceiling after a rainy day and a radiator to heat the entire mobile home. Renovation work at the children's playground when the campsite had reopened for 15 days!
Camping not illuminated at night and unsecured barrier (saying closed at 23h) was still open at midnight, 2 stars would be much more realistic! Let's not talk about catering we ordered pizzas not thicker than a pancake we are still looking for the topping and a dough that crunched under the tooth from start to finish

Lack of secure cycle path impossible to leave without a car

First time in a camping Tohapi. We arrived at a campsite that looked good at first. But once inside the general maintenance of the campsite left to be desired, lawn not mowed since the previous year, nettles in the alleys, small dumps in the middle of the campsite !! ...
Our worst surprise was the condition of the sanitary on arrival: Impossible to use because unfit for any use! no passage the day of our arrival. The other days a single passage to 10h then nothing => totally insufficient. In addition, the installation of sanitary is not over: no toilet down and need to get the linkage in the water supply of all toilets to flush the toilet.
The outdoor pool has not been filled since the previous year !!!! and the inner one does not have the capacity to recycle water: it must be closed between noon and 2 pm and close very early for a camping 7 pm.
Overall very disappointed by still a lot of things in this campsite. The friendliness of the employees is not in question but we had come to 13 people in different locations / mobile homes and we all had the same opinion without consulting each other.
This campsite is not a 4 star unlike its display.
