I thoroughly enjoyed the view from my room most of all. I love the June Jacobs samples they had available (especially the facial bar---twas life!). The gym was amazing as well. The only reason i gave 4 stars was because the walls are super thin and I could hear my neighbors also, as much as i appreciated the views from my room, the slide curtains should've been opaque enough for privacy but sheer to let light in. I'm sure the outside could see my every move!

First of all I was sharing the room with someone else, and both my roommate and I let them know when we both checked in, and we each gave them our credit cards for a divided bill on Tuesday night. However, they decided to only use my credit card to pay for the charges of both of us instead of splitting the charges. Then I found out Friday while I was trying to book my flight to return home, and another hotel to spend the night after would I checked out on Sunday.
When I contacted the front desk on Friday in the morning and they told me that it would be resolved right away. They never appoligize nor tried to do any service recovery. I had to spend the night in the airport instead of another hotel since they never tried to redeem their mistake on the charges.
It has been exactly four days passed from the insident and the charges are still showing on my card. I contacted American Express and they told me the hotel stands but the accuracy of the charges, but I'm still trying to dispute this mess. They never offered a free stay even though I told them that I couldn't pay for another hotel because of the mistake they did not tried to expedite the removal of the charges.
I would never again stay in this Hotel even if they would offer it for free, The worst experience in my Life!!!!

Located in the heart of the SF city. Right next to union square and a lot of attractions. Bunch of buses down the street to piers. View is good at top floors.

Stayed there over the weekend for the Blue Angels air show. Viewed from the Grand Lounge, enjoying drinks while the flight flew overhead. It is amazing.

Beautifully appointed, modern hotel, conveniently located near shipping and food. Stayed while attending a conference at the Moscone Center and found this to be a good option with a short walk to events and all the amenities I needed close by.

Stayed with family in multiple rooms. Everyone enjoyed the hotel rooms and amenities.

The OneUp club is on tbe mezzanine level, excellent selection of drinks and decent food. The restaurant is on the same level opposite side and serves an excellent breakfast. The staff are friendly and attentive.

The lobby area provides drinking water and apples near the entrance at the reception desk. There is a seating area with fireplaces to warn yourself up a bit. Coffee and light breakfast items are available starting early.

The 36th floor offers great views, pics posted.

A small gym is located on the 35th floor.

Outside the hotel you may experience disgusting conditions around Union Square and the adjacent areas.

The hotel itself is excellent. The area outside around Union Square is not.

The hotel was very nice. The rooms were clean and everything was well kept. The views from the windows were spectacular. The only complaint I have was the windows did not have fabric curtains so you could not block out the city lights at night. Otherwise it was a very comfortable stay.

The Grand Hyatt is located right next to Union Square. There are plenty of shops nearby, including drugstores, souvenir shops, Macy's, Apple, Niemann Marcus, and more. There are also many restaurants within walking distance, offering great local eats (like The White Horse).
The hotel itself is very chic. The lobby has a glass wall, leather furniture, a fireplace, and more, including a stairway leading up to the OneUp bar and restaurant on the mezzanine, which is a fantastic place to meet with coworkers or friends for after dinner drinks. The staff is extremely polite, and more often than not, someone is holding a door for you and smiling. The rooms are clean and quaint, with all the amenities you're used to. But the hotel includes a list of items you can receive for free (such as toiletries, slippers, etc.) or borrow (robe, humidifier). It's a fantastic place to spend your stay in San Francisco.

Excellent location for both business and pleasure. Within walking distance of the Financial District, Moscone Center, Chinatown, North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square - you name it. A variety of restaurant options are in the area and should be checked out including One Up within the Grand Hyatt itself. The room was clean the Fitness area was fine if a bit cramped but the staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful. If you choose this Grand Hyatt for your next stay in San Francisco you won't be disappointed.

I would totally recommend this hotel when visiting SF! The check in process was painless and fast with excellent service. Room service was fast and delicious and the room was very well designed. The best part was the view! Great location in the heart of the city!

I got upgraded to the executive suite due to globalist status and it was quite good. There was a spacious living room, a huge bed room, and 2 bathrooms. View from the club lounge is amazing too, possibly the best view in sf given how short other buildings are.

Great location, though rooms are leaning towards the conventional style instead of contemporary furnishing

I was expecting way better service and quality from this Hotel considering how much it cost per night. The first night I got a room right next to the elevator engine. I can hear the elevators going up and down the whole night. Requested to change room. Eventhough 12 of my relatives staying in the same hotel and on the same floor, they couldn't move me to another room on the same floor, which I can understand completely. Sometimes they just don't have any available room on the same floor, but sometimes the front desk staff just too lazy to find a room on the same floor, sometimes they just don't want to clean an empty but dirty room after 6pm, sometimes they have available room but considered as the nice room that they need to keep for the VIP's who are arriving late, etc. Yeah, I use to work for some big chain hotels in the past, so I know. Either way I just believe that they dont have any available room on the same floor. So the front desk promised to move me to a different room the next day and promised to call after they have assigned me to a new room, but no one called. When I got back to the hotel at 6pm the next day I asked the front desk and looks like they don't have a good communication between the employees, so it took a while to figure out what was going on with my room change. The bell boy/ porter did moved my belongings to the new room though. So here are the other good and bad stuff about the hotel. The air conditioning kind of noisy on both rooms I stayed. The bed/ spring mattress on the first room kind of old so you can feel the coil making weird sound. The shower on the first room kind of weak but strong flow on the second room. Both rooms I stayed in have good city view. The gym was ok. Small lounge for the breakfast room and can get overcrowded and hard to find tables. Hot breakfast was not so great and limited selection. You can get free umbrella when it's raining & drinking water anytime. The WiFi was a joke, can never get a connection. Self Parking structure infront of the hotel is cheaper and safer than most other public parking in the area. Most of the hotel staff are polite and friendly. Both rooms are clean.

Arriving from the airport, we checked in with Arnold at the front desk. On the reservation we had noted we were celebrating our 6th anniversary, which not only did Arnold acknowledge, but he went well above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The room was roomy, updated and clean, the room service staff was incredibly efficient and we did not meet a single hotel staff member who wasn t smiling, polite and helpful. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we return to San Francisco!

Grand Hyatt service all around. Room was very nice with a decent view. Missing a few extra like complementary water, but the bed was super comfortable. Will definitely return if not just for the great location.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is clean with a great view. I would definitely stay here again. The WiFi, however, is very slow at night. It is so slow that the in-room chromecast is useless. It is usable for other purposes, though.

Unfortunately I only got to stay 1 night at this wonderful Hyatt property. The hotel is very centrally located to union square, Chinatown and little Italy. My room had a great bay view and the staff was very friendly

Had high hopes for our seat at the Grand Hyatt in San Francisco, but ended up feeling like our stay could have been a lot better. We booked the stay with our hard-earned Hyatt Gold Passport points, which I had hoped would entitle us to at least a better standard room. However, we were placed on a room on the 4th (out of around 35) floors, which I believe is the first level of guest rooms in the building. The room itself was nice enough, but we were disappointed to find that the privacy shade was broken on one side of the window, and one of the bedside tables was so wobbly that it resulted in a spilled glass of water in the middle of the night. All in all our stay was okay, but I feel like we could have been made to feel far more welcome. (if however you find yourself in Santa Rosa, they Hyatt Vineyard Creek there is nice and has a fantastic and welcoming staff).

Very friendly service, complimentary drinks offered, clean and open rooms with a great view even on lower levels. No need for an upgrade. Comfortable beds. Carpet everywhere makes it hard to handle luggage.

Avoid rooms *23 & *24, they are right next to the machine room/elevator, unless you like the humming of it going up and down all day/night. Rooms are nice and updated with comfortable bed, friendly staff, and great central location.

Although the hotel is on the older side (much like the rest of the hotels in Union Square), the staff was great, and the place was clean. It was also surprisingly quiet - I was placed on the 4th floor facing the Apple Store (overlooking Stockton), and aside from emergency vehicle sirens or the occasional truck honk, I didn't get disturbed during my sleep. Highly recommended for its central location and great service (as has been my experience with almost every Hyatt I have stayed at).

Super nice hotel in the heart of FiDi. Close to Union Square (a block away) and across the street from a Starbucks (go there, not inside the hotel). Nice roomy rooms with LCD tbs. Great meeting space (usually with free wifi as cell reception is terrible in a basement). Super nice staff. Great hotel bar area- I recommend their Moscow Mule.

They got my reservation all messed up and when I finally got my room the bathroom flooded. They put us on a different room right away but really it was the room I should have got in the first place anyways. Views were ok, service did not feel like a 5 star hotel. Personal had an attitude and did not feel welcomed at any time

This is my first time staying at the Hyatt as I usually stay at Marriott or Hilton. Unfortunately I am not impressed with this location. The highlights...
Bellman, front desk are awesome....opening doors, bringing up deliveries, extra needs etc.
The lowlights...
Furniture and carpeting is beat up and needs updating. Housekeeping and cleanliness is not so great. I took a bath the night before and noticed next day housekeeping didn't take the time to scrub the bathtub. In room dining the menu is extremely limited and they don't even bring it on ceramic dinnerware and real silverware. Instead you get a paper bag of plastic or compostable utensils and eating out of a cardboard container. So is that because of water conservation at the expense of cardboard in the environment?? For $400/night I would think Hyatt could do much better than this.

From the entrance to their bathrooms, everything was immaculate. Everything appeared to be top notch and very high attention to detail. Everything was cleaned from the floor to the ceiling and had very few imperfections. The staff was attentive and was standing by at all times to ensure customers have a positive experience and is well taken care of. The location is in a prime location at the heart of San Francisco's Union Square. It's in a location that people visiting the area or strolling the streets would not miss. The location is simply perfect and well suited for out-of-towners who are looking for a clean and beautiful place to stay. Great job Grant Hyatt San Francisco!
