I went to this hotel for a conference, and from what I experienced, it was pretty nice. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food that was provided was tasty and filling. The view from the 36 floor was also very nice.

The service at this hotel is absolutely impeccable. From the smiling, lovely front desk to the people who open the front door on your way to explore San Francisco, this has been the most impressive hotel I ve stayed in thus far. Nothing but a pleasant experience. :)

I m astonished and delighted with this world-class hotel that accommodated my presence professionally and appropriately. As I ve stayed on their prestige and elegant hotel, I discovered how amazing and satisfying their treatments were. It made me feel like I was at home chilling out. Their surroundings were clean, neat, and organized. I ll assure to come again soon. Till next time!

Room had a beautiful view of Macy's tree lighting ceremony, the front desk attendant was supremely helpful and accommodating, and the room itself was very nice. The hotel bar was a little expensive but the food and drinks were delicious.

Room 343 is haunted. I know how it sounds...but here's what happened. I went to lay down for a 30 min nap before going out. I woke after a few min with someone talking in my ear. Kinda freaked me out, so I left the room and joined the rest of our travel party, while roommate finished showering. Once roommate joined up with the rest of the group, and we where ready to depart for the evening, we stopped back by the room to pick up our jackets etc. We returned to find some of our things had been moved around and put in drawers that neither of us had opened. At this point we where both feeling uncomfortable, and noticed that the room was very cold, even though temp was the same as the room a few doors down. We attempted to change rooms for the night but hotel was sold out. We stayed the night without further incident.

Just had a long weekend in San Francisco at the Grand Hyatt and was delighted with our room amenities, hotel location, staff and food options. The bartenders and doormen/concierges were especially helpful and fun. The view from the top floor is SPECTACULAR. Hotel location is really great for the BART and many viewpoints. Would stay here again. Hyatt Discoverist

We stayed at this hotel for three nights, and it's incredibly convenient and well maintained. The beds are quite comfortable, though I found the pillows to be too fluffy for my taste, I was able to order a foam pillow up to the room as well as a tea kettle and s curling iron and it was brought up right away at no extra charge. We stayed on the 25th floor and had a wonderful City view over Union Square. The hotel is located right by several bus lines and a few blocks away from the Bart. It was very quiet, and I was pleased with the amenities! Every member of the staff I encountered was cordial and helpful.

I had drinks with a peer at the Hyatt. The place is impressive; the lobby is inviting and excellent presented. The bar has awesome service and a great selection. Tall ceilings mean that conversations can be heard at your table with little trouble.

Great location with view of the Bay and Union Square. Great amenities but no pool, sauna, jacuzzi or spa breakfast is extremely expensive but I guess it fits with the area. Rooms are nice and cozy but not amazing. Staff is professional and friendly but bellboys could be a bit friendlier.

Had a nice 3 night stay in a city view suite. Great location close to many tourist areas. Got great help from the doorman catching a taxi when we were in a hurry and helpful information from the concierge.

Excellent location.

Excellent location.
Line to check-in and check-out is long.
They tried very hard to charge extra for late check-out request. And they only offered one hour for free late check-out. They would charge $50/hr for late check-out, but that was also negotiable.

Updated Review: I would not recommend this hotel. The building creaks loudly whenever there is any wind (which in SF is all the time) and the noise from the elevator and from adjacent rooms is quite loud. The TV stopped working halfway through my stay, and things I requested from the concierge were either never provided or required repeated requests (e.g. three requests for a white noise machine which didn t do much to cover the loud creaking or elevator/neighbor noise).

Our experience was less than one star!

Our experience was less than one star!

The rooms are noisy and you can hear every word in the room next to you and in the halls. Besides the lack of sleep we also were the lucky recipients of a lamp cord that was frayed and our 18 mo old daughter suffered an electrical shock from the frayed cord before we could reach her.

The food is poor and overpriced, go to McDonald s around the corner.

The hotel is outdated, poorly maintained, avoid it if you want to sleep and keep your kids safe.

We are a military family that had to move overseas during this pandemic. We chose to spend our overnight layover in SFO at the airport Grand Hyatt. I was so impressed with the staff and hotel. We arrived at almost midnight but the staff was ready and available to help us get to our room, and stored all the bags we didn t need for the night. The room was very clean. Everyone wore masks and gloves and there were sanitizing stations everywhere. Our young child is asthmatic and we take precautions very seriously and the Grand Hyatt lived up to my expectations and then some. I recommend this hotel to anyone who has to travel during this time!

First, location. Right in the heart of the city, walking distance to the Moscone Convention Center, the SF MoMA, shopping center, etc. Second, excellent quality for the price. Rooms like great, bath is awesome, quality of wood cabinets and beds is just great. Lobby is not spacious but the restaurant is huge, food variety is not that great but good enough for a quick bite if you decide not to go out for dinner. You can call your order in advance and have it delivered to your room for a small fee. Great view of the sorrounding cityscape from the balcony. Definitely an awesome place to be at.

Had a good time and it was clean and all.
The lobby is cute and we had a very nice view

The very disappointing part is that you can't access the top floor as its only available for renting for special events...
They should make it available for some period of the day for their customers.

Grand. Grand Hyatt. Especially grand: The view from the higher floors.
The Rooms are very nice (I was on floor 31) and the Grand Club is quite good and offers a nice selection of food and drinks.
The experience you have when you "enter" the hotel for the first time, could be better. The "experience designer" and architect probably put efficiency and architectural requirements first. But entering doesn't give you the "Grand Feeling". For a Grand Hyatt it feels a little bit too much like "you're dispatched." Even as a Hyatt Globalist. I could not exactly define it. It's just a feeling. Smaller Hyatts like the Hyatt Regency in Mainz do a better job on giving you a "personal" feeling.
What I missed - especially considering that it's a Grand Hyatt and you simply expect this on this level: A good spa where you can get a professional massage. You have to go to a partner spa a few blocks down. This is not what I expect from a Grand Hyatt.
But again -- it's complaining on a high level. All in all it was a great stay, check-in was smooth and fast, it's beautiful hotel with perfectly designed and clean rooms, the club is great an the view as well. And the Apple Store is right next to it! So, if you want to get up at 6 am to buy the new iPhone: This is the place to spend the night before!

Stayed one night for an event in the city. We had blocked 5 rooms all on the same floor with a discounted Hyatt member price of $195/night. Rooms accommodated our family if 4 with 2 queen beds and an average size bathroom. Although the rooms are somewhat small, the modern comfortable beds and other hotel amenities made up for it. Great location off of Union Square puts you in the heart of shopping and restaurants. We had our makeup done at Sephora, which was located just a couple of blocks away. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location. Walking distance to many tourist attraction in downtown. Hotel concierge even offers walking distance self-guide tour list. Very useful!!!

The service has been amazing since the moment we checked in the hotel. We received welcome gift few minutes after we got to our room. Great room on 26th Floor!

Room is clean and modern. Housekeeping is so friendly and attentive. All the service are absolutely "A+"!!!

Fitness Center on 35th floor is breathtaking. The floor to ceiling windows totally showcase downtown San Francisco.

Great hotel. Location is excellent. No on Union itself but just a short hop away which is better. Food is a bit snacky but the hotel is close to real meal alternatives. ( Try the restaurant opposite the China Town gate). The staff are very helpfull, the rooms are modern and we'll appointed and the public areas comfortable and welcoming. I eoul give it 5* with a better eatery option. 4.5* now. Will use next trip to SF early next year.

Good location close to food, bars, and Chinatown. Not walkable to every tourist spot in the city, but a lot of that is due to the steep hills (which make things beautiful, but tiring to walk). Service was great, they will bring you anything you need or may have forgotten and everyone I met was very welcoming. Rooms have great views with floor to ceiling windows (better views from higher floors obviously), very clean and comfortable.

So things started off bad, but got much better...the doorman was holding the door and right as we started walking through he walked away and the door slammed right on us. We waited at the front by the computers to check in for about 3 min while a few employees kept on with their conversation. We were finally greeted and given room 911, right next to the storage closet. We walked in and it stunk so bad we had to ask for a different room. We were promptly brought a new keep for room 15 something. That made up for a lot and overall I was happy. First impressions are important at hotels though and they, quite frankly, dropped the ball.

A nice hotel in a great location. Rooms are in good condition, although they are a bit dated, especially the bathrooms. The lounge is well done and provides excellent views. Staff is friendly. An overall good choice in the city.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway for an anniversary. GF booked through a travel site and put in that is was our anniversary. They ok'd an early checkin with complimentary upgrade to a nicer room for free to boot! Threw in 2 free drinks at the hotel restaurant/bar and I'd say it was a great experience too. Rum and coke and it was heavy on the rum, still good as the well rum was Bacardi Silver.

The room was terrific too! Spacious, great mirror with excellent lighting for my GF to get her make up perfect. Bathroom had great water pressure and endless hot water. Had 2 great nights of sleep, bed was actually comfortable for a hotel bed. Wifi was fast, and they include a Chromecast in the room so you can just play whatever you want off your phone!

I would definitely stay here again!

Used up travel points to stay in a lux suite on the club floor. Great view, really well done room. Club had terrific food for breakfast and you could eat their evening "snack" for dinner if you wanted.

Great hotel in the heart of downtown SF and Union Square area. Great access to all of the shopping and sight seeing that San Francisco is famous for.

Recently updated and looking quite nice! I really like the new color scheme and the look of the lobby area. Staff is quite helpful and ready to take care of every need. Rooms are a bit better than average. Nice place to spend your night.

Bar and restaurant are very nice. Bartenders make easily the best Moscow Mule I've had to date and I am a connoisseur!

Love the veiws and the staff are very accommodating even if I don't have a room there at the time. They let me use the lobby and power to type and charge for sometimes a few hours on less busy days with no conference in the hotel and at least a half hour when they are busy as hell but they don't get rude at all.
