Grand Hyatt San Antonio / Hyatt Regency San Antonio Review

Overall I liked the hotel and thought it was very nice. The room service was super expensive but it is a nice hotel and I think it is fairly good rooms and they have a good pool with a big deck to look out on the city

A large and fine hotel. You can get a toothbrush at the reception. There was no shave.

The location is absolutely beautiful. The hotel is right next to the riverwalk, which has an abundance of atmosphere and restaraunts. The staff at the hotel are extremely professional.

Very modern with a great view. Call your room at weird hours though..

My stay was in connection with a large convention, which strained the hotel I think and was the main cause for any concerns. The check-in stations and the elevators were insufficient for the demand at bottle-neck times. During regular operation they were fine. The self-parking was pretty pricey, I would figure it would come with the room or at least a better discount; parking also confused me a little, a little better signage would have helped. The hallways had an odd smell that many commented on, I didn't really notice it in the room though, thank goodness. Room was clean and comfortable.

I've been to every Hyatt except the Grand Hyatt, and I am a loyal member to the Hyatt brand...but this Hyatt really didn't have anything "Grand"about it at all.

No breakfast, which I guess I could of looked up, but I just assumed that a Grand Hyatt would have some type of food.

When I tried to get my complimentary water bottle, I felt the front desk was a little rude when they told me to get it from the bedroom. They still gave it to me, but they seemed annoyed I asked.

All in all...Hyatt Place and Hyatt house staff just seems more friendly. I would rather have friendly service over a fancy lobby.

It is a first class hotel that has all the services you need as a visitor to a city, the rooms are spacious are clean but a little outdated have excellent views of the surroundings, from the hotel you can know several important points of San Antonio walking , How I found the cost of parking a bit too high, they should offer a better promotion in terms of cost for their guests. Besides, it is always full and it is difficult to find a place

It's a very nice hotel. But since I didn't do anything there, my rating shouldn't really count.

Has Ruth and Chris restaurant.. great food at a decent price

Nice hotel. Nothing spectacular. Wifi is pretty poor.

Attended 3-day seminar at hotel. Hotel staff is nice. Conference rooms are spacious. But bring a sweater because they keep it very cool at conference.

This is a beautiful hotel. My highschool prom was thrown here. It's right off the river walk, in the perfect spot downtown.

We're here to see the All American Bowl, and we got a discount for having a family member in the game. The location is convenient, and the view is great. If you drive here, parking is very expensive. Overall it's nice.

Pretty nice hotel, what you may expect of Hyatt.
That being said the rooms could certainly use a reno, I have seen much better Hyatts

Great hotel, walking distance from Riverwalk and all its restaurants... The pool was cool, and fitness room was spectacular. Only downside but it's understandable it's the parking fee a bit pricey. Other than that great hotel.

Location is walking distance to downtown, the Alamo and River walk. The hotel staff are extra courteous and helpful and very accommodating. Rooms are nice with excellent views of downtown. The ONLY downside is the room service menu is exclusively offered by Ruth's Chris (which is located inside the hotel), making the menu a tad pricey.

Nails all the points that a conference hotel should. Fast WiFi, online checkin, edible food, efficient service and tastefully spare rooms.

Concierge was extremely helpful and hotel was clean and well kept

Great customer service by Diana! Very happy with how professional she is and willing to go the extra step to make sure that the guests are happy. Came down from Dallas and Bay Area and were just blown away with the the hospitality.

The hotel service has been warm and welcoming. The proximity to the convention center and airport is stellar. Though the layout is a bit complicated, I would stay here again.

We ate lunch at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. It is the best steak experience I have ever had. The steak was well done, as requested, but still full of flavor.

I went to watch choir concerts for TMEA and the place was beautiful

Was there for a company Christmas party. The decor was lacking and the food was bland. Very bland. Parking is minimal unless you want to valet or continuously search for parking. Expected more and got average.

Everything was great. Clean rooms. Great service. Nice amenities. Easy access to the Riverwalk.

The hotel is beautiful, Perks was a fabulous place to get Starbucks and snacks in the middle of the night, and hotel staff were superb!

Was at the Grand Hyatt for an event. Great rooms, fantastic service, modern amenities. Will definitely return.

This is wear I choose to stay on business and vacation while in San Antonio. Beds are good, nice pool and locale to riverwalk is outstanding!

Nothing to review. Visited a friend staying there, but we just picked him up and left.

Spectacular view of the surrounding area is just the beginning of the things this hotel offers. Roof top swimming, 24 hour fitness center and a friendly and helpfull staff will make your stay relaxing and memorable. There is a Ruth Chris steak house in the building as well as a bar and a coffee shop. Access to the river walk is right off the back patio.

If you are going to stay downtown San Antonio, this is the ONLY place to stay, hands down. Best service by far! Jillian Weilbacher made sure I was taken cared of from the moment I walked in the door. It was my daughters 14th Birthday and she made it extra special. Couldn't be more grateful for her professionalism and extra care to detail. She's the Best!

This is a beautiful hotel in downtown San Antonio. Near the Riverwalk and close to everything. The staff is very friendly, and professional. The room are very spacious.

Comfortable, professional, clean. Lots of freebies if you forget something. If something is missing or wrong, just dial zero and they'll send someone to fix it, 24/7. For example, our hair dryer wasn't working, so we called and asked, and within 5 minutes they had someone with a brand new hair dryer knocking at our door, free of charge. The location's great too - walking distance from the Alamo and a ton of restaurants, plus the riverwalk, sightseeing cruises, etc.

We stayed here for dental meetings and we had a good experience. Everyone was kind and helpful! Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Clean stay here. And the water is soft here too which I thought was a plus! Thank you!

My family and I were guests during the US Army All-American Bowl, where my son was a participant. The staff was very attentive and they kept the hotel very clean despite it being host to over 100 teenage boys.

Everything is great. Like free WiFi. But the breakfast buffet is lacking. There were no waffles or pancakes. Just fruit and other cold foods

They have the best bed I have ever slept on and the view from my room was amazing...

Rooms are pretty average for a fancy hotel. Rooms are clean and A/C good. Service has been great. Had a keycard problem and problems with parking cards they helped quick.

We were charged for our room twice by accident. The staff was not very nice upon arrival. The rooms were not very impressive either. They ran out of parking and retriving our car had us stranded in san antonio for what seemed like an eternity. Not inpressed at all.
