Excellent service. Food was unique and flavorful. Well worth the money.
Delicious & interesting food, great cocktails, and a cozy environment.
Visited on Sunday - we had drinks (excellent sangria) and the charcuterie board, which was fine for the four of us, plus an order of wings, which were very large and spiced just right. 2 small pizzas completed the evening, and we left full and happy.
Everything was delicious! We tried both a pasta dish and their patty melt, and we were thrilled with both. Yum. A little expensive, but worth it for the quality of food.
Edit: best burger in town
Bartender was great. Smorgasbord was awesome. Drinks were fun. Little noisy.
We came here for a not-too-fancy birthday dinner. The wine list was awesome--we ended up getting a bottle and it was delightful.
The ribs were outstanding. The rigatoni was so so so good. Highly recommend both.
Just go for the large size of everything. You won't regret it.
Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.
Amazing food and amazing service. I highly recommend
Whoa, brunch is outta control here... So good, best brunch I've had in quite a while. Can't wait to come back!
Such an amazing experience. Food was amazing. Chef Andrew and crew do a fantastic job. Great decor, drinks and wine, spot on. Will definitely be back. SOON
Non-traditional menu, with courses. Good wait staff. Fairly full and busy on a Tuesday night. Good portion sizes, not overly humongous. Select menu items, not a multitude of endless choices.
Their patio is a hidden gem
Do yourselves a favor and stop by
Incredible experience
Awesome server, service and food! Restaurant price fixe deal was a teeny bit pricy ($35 per person for app, entree and dessert) but 1000000% worth it!!!
Really fun new neighborhood restaurant! Outdoor patio, great bar, wonderful menu with fabulous desserts! Loved it!
Consistently amazing food and wonderful service. I went tonight for the Heirloom Liqueurs bar takeover and it was such a great event. The cocktail flight was great (I wish the alchermes sour was something they had all the time) and the special bar snacks were terrific as well. I hope the pizza makes a return in the future because it was probably my favorite thick crust in Minnesota.
Even during their regular service the cocktails are fantastic and the food is terrific (but get the pizza slice if it ever comes back)
The food is five star, served in a relaxing ambience. Thank you.
Great food. I had the pork schnitzel sandwich. Service also was prompt and friendly.
Excellent food and service. We had the Family Feast Chef menu and it was exceptional. We highly recommend it. Chef Andrew dishes are amazing and a shout-out to MK! Thank you for the wonderful eat and great hospitality....we will be back!
Excellent food, excellent service, no tipping! Great patio. These folks are doing a great job and I hope they stick around for the long haul!
Stopped in to visit. The smorgasbord plate was over the top great. Mix master drinks. The bartenders were engaging and fun. Peeps on bikes should skip the Longfellow and head west two blocks for the best charcuterie value in the twin cities. It s worth a try and it s wide open before 6pm. I will return on bike again. Well done. Sorry to miss Charlie.
We really enjoyed our meal at the Bungalow club. The food was delicious and prepared nicely. We felt safe with their social distancing practices
Free lil chovi! That pizza was the most amazingly scrumptious pizza I ve ever had! I am salivating over pesto pasta, pizza, and Caesar salad. Hook a girl up with lil chovi please!!!
Delectable food and drink, excellent service, delightful ambiance - a winner all around.
Had a great time. Food recommendations were spot on. Cocktails were creative and bar staff has great jokes
Great patio and restaurant space. Creative food and drink. Service is warm and friendly.
Lived in the neighborhood almost a year before finally stopping by, and now we've been there 3 times in the past month. It's nice to have an upscale (yet not pretentious) option with great food and cocktails on East Lake.
I don t want to share too much negativity so I will say that the plates and silverware were quite functional.
The brussel sprouts are the best I have ever had. Great atmosphere. Nice staff. Good cocktails. Neighborhood feel that you would still travel to for the food.
Wonderful restaurant. Excellent food, fantastic service and nice ambiance.
Dinner review: We came in for dinner and were met by extremely pleasant staff. There were two in my party. We decided to try the family feast for $50 per person. This item requires full table participation. The server highly recommended it and told us that we would probably be taking home leftovers. I was skeptical of that statement because we like to eat!
The choices were all creatively prepared.....things I wouldn't make at home. And as a bonus, they went out of their way to accommodate my dietary restrictions.
Lovely patio. Go, you won't be disappointed.
Service, bar, and ambiance were exceptional. I would have loved to sit in their cute garden (on the side of the restaurant), but the weather didn't cooperate. We went for Restaurant Week, so it was Fixed Price set menu (with sides and drinks extra). I had the white fish croquettes with cavier and herbs, the root vegetables shepherd's pie. Both excellent,. The only lackluster part was the Budino dessert (with candle for birthday)- it was far too salty and barely edible. Clearly the chef is accomplished, but they need to hire a pastry chef! The converted large house is charming but hard for Uber/lyft to find on the street. Google maps needs to be more clear on the destination! Overall 4 stars.
Great brunch! We had the oxtail and vegetable hash and the carbonara and both were excellent
High expectations due to reviews. Brussels sprouts were delicious, salads very tasty! Other than that most dishes were primarily fancy looking pasta with a nice sauce. Meat is almost nonexistent. The Cavatelli had tiny hard specks that I believe were the advertised "red table salami". The kitchen is verrry slooow (a 1/2 hour between courses) as well as inaccurate (unless it was the waitress) but 3 of 10 of us had mistakes. One person's food arrived 15 minutes late. I would have thought they could have given her something to munch on while the rest of us ate. Now that I think of it there was no bread or antipasto at all. I finally talked to the waitress who's response was "I'm on it"......really, this is you "on it"? I thought to myself while I suggested she comp my friend's meal. She did. I've been, now I can check it off the list.
Family feast was ahhhmazing! Chef's choice, offered most of the menu. Must haves: brussel sprouts, smorgasbord, cannelloni, ravioli and the most tender, delicious ribs you can imagine. Espresso pound is so good! Very nice dining room with excellent service. Highly recommended, right around the corner and worth the cost
Amazing, like from start to finish I was impressed and delighted. Can t wait to find and excuse to return soon!! And eat PASTA!
Service is amazing, food is outstanding. Try the Family Feast (tasting menu).
Patio is great in MN summer. So are the hash brown sticks with french onion dip!
Excellent mixologist, excellent staff, beautiful local and seasonal ingredients, home made pasta cooked perfectly Al dente, I could eat the gem salad every day and the desserts are sublime. As is the ambiance.
Best brunch I've ever had in Minneapolis. It was 10/10. Ate stuff I never would, and loved it. Didn't like any of the drinks on the menu so they came up with something and it was amazing!! Would highly recommend!!
The $5 side salad turned out to be a huge salad that was well worth the price, and the bread was absolutely fantastic and grilled perfectly. The deeper fried zucchini appetizer was also pretty good, particularly The sauce that came with it.
The pasta that I had called zucca, however, lacked a bit of flavor. But, the dessert was absolutely delicious. I ordered something off the menu. I just wanted chocolate ice cream, and they gave it to me. It was absolutely rich and quite flavorful.
I had the roasted zucchini salad and the rigatoni, both were fantastic.
My wife and I love this restaurant. The food is wonderful, it has a great menu and sophisticated wine list. The service has been good on every occasion. Tried the brunch today and everyone loved it. Thanks Bungalow Club !
We had the cornflake chicken, smashed fries, and rigatoni Alfredo. The food is 4 stars, but the ambiance is 3 stars. It s very loud with wood floors and high ceilings. We were seated at a table near the bar and every time someone walked by, the chair was kicked or bumped. We are not likely to come back and we will never be seated there again if we do come back. Staff are friendly. It s too pricey as well.
Expensive but the food was amazing! I highly recommend the honeynut squash and the cannelloni.
What a gem!!! The drinks and bartenders are delightful. The patio is magical, and the food is phenomenal. Will be going back!!!
Visited her with my wife for a week day date night. We ordered the chef's 5 course menu. What we didn't know was the chef's menu in its 5 courses were FULL sized dishes. Needless to say about half way thru we were beyond stuffed. Luckily they got the hints we were putting down and brought out the rest of the courses with to go container so we could try the food hot but ultimately take it home. Great night at a great place but be fair warned, if you do the 5 course menu....pace yourself and be prepared for a lot of delicious food.
Delicious try the egg and homemade sausage biscuit w cacio e peppo
The Bungalow Club is one of the best new restaurants I've had recently in the cities. I wouldn't say any of the cuisine was innovative or super unique. However, The Club does a great job utilizing traditional flavors in new more modern dishes. Their happy hour deals are also amazing. I recommend this to anyone looking for a new place to try in the area.
So good! They handled our dairy and gluten allergy with aplomb. Great chef staff and environment. Whoever curates the music does a great job!
The service, ambiance, and food was excellent. Good wine selection. Very enjoyable.
We did the group meal. It was fantastic. One of our guests was a pescatarian they adjusted to meet those needs. We all loved the food!!! The only thing wrong is, that this place will be so popular it will be hard to get reservations.
It was ok. Noise from the street while on the patio was pretty loud from time to time, small portions and decently tasting food but nothing special. The meals do not come with any sides whatsoever. The picture of the meatballs below is all that you would get for a meal. Menu has very few details describing the dish.
Top notch food and sevice
I've been to the Bungalow Club several times now. It's good enough that my wife and I make the 60 minute round trip once a month to eat there. Tonight I brought a group of 6 friends there so we could order the family dinner and try a greater variety of foods. We were all very impressed and fighting for the leftovers.
Each time we've gone we've been blown away by the food. It's a creative and sophisticated blend of flavors. Honestly, it's tough to pick a favorite dish but I believe the menu changes from time to time with a few consistent staples.
The service at this place would easily be in my top 2 restaurants throughout the twin cities. The servers have all been very personable, professional, and fun. We've even had the manager on duty stop by our table to make sure we were happy.
My wife loves the cocktail menu. I'm more of a beer drinker myself but I did order the New York sour which was a stellar cocktail. Once again, I believe the cocktail list rotates with a couple staples. As far as the beer selection goes it's not a huge variety but it's all trendy quality beers from around the Minnesota. Last time they had some Modist, Castle Danger and Steel Toe on tap along with a handful of others.
Overall, I would highly suggest the Bungalow Club for a sleek and relaxing couple's dinner or bring a group of friends and order the family dinner. The whole table needs to be in on this option but totally worth it.
2nd time I've visited this new restaurant. Great service and atmosphere. Our dinners varied. Great Pappardelle, meh Spagettii (sauce was bland, pasta not al dente), excellent Raviolli, Patty Melt was too rare, but good. Outstanding Smorgasboard appetizers and desert torte.
The food was really flavorful and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Had the arracini balls to start which were amazing! Ordered the pork shank as my entree and it was extremely tender and tasty. Pear cocktail was really good as well. Highly recommend for a date night.
Chef Andrew Kraft is very talented and humble!! We have been four times and each time have had amazing food, (pastas are fantastic) and very friendly knowledgeable servers. The restaurant has a casual vibe and lovely patio too. Can't wait to go back again soon!
We went for a Valentine's Day 4-course menu. Each course had 3 options. Everyone at the table loved and devoured their choices. I especially enjoyed the lamb tartare! I've had tartare before, but never lamb and it was so fresh and refreshing! The cocktails were both very good. The price was reasonable for the quality of the food. I thought the portion size was slightly larger than similar types of restaurants when they did the 4-course meal style dinner. I will be recommending this to my friends looking for a quality place to go eat!
We came here on a whim and were thrilled with our experience. Our server, John, was very attentive and gave us great recommendations. We started with the arancini which were great. My husband had the rib which was outstanding and the brussel sprouts and ravioli were good too. We ended with the chocolate bourbon cocktail. We look forward to coming back and trying new items!
Had an excellent time, good food, great service. Nice atmosphere. Lots of parking. Easy access of major hwy.
Finally tried this place out for restaurant week. Great food. Fantastic cocktails. Even better service (warm, helpful and whatever is the opposite of pretentious (?) for how great the food and fantastic the cocktails are). So lucky this is the neighborhood. GET THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS.
We have eaten here three times in the past couple of months and have really enjoyed each time. The servers and bartenders are pleasant and knowledgeable. The food is very, very good. We particularly enjoy the Brussels sprouts and the arancini appetizers. Cocktails are also excellent, and the wine list is varied and high quality. It s one of the cozier, more comfortable restaurants we ve found, and everyone there seems to be relaxed and enjoying themselves. Last night we were supplied Trivial Pursuit cards with our check to pass the time while finishing up and paying - a nice idea! We highly recommend it.
Excellent, inventive dishes. Service is attentive, non-intrusive, knowledgable and well versed with menu items. The drinks are fantastic, potent and well balanced.
If you can make it during the summer months the patio is beautiful and gardenesque, but if you can t then the inside is still spacious and well decorated! It s very clean and the staff is inviting. I also love that the parking is simple and I never have trouble getting a spot.
I can t recommend this restaurant enough and I ve been here quite a few times! I bring all my friends here for excellent Sunday brunch.
Great staff, knowledgeable and attentive. Inventive flavors with an excellent, rotating, fresh menu. Excellent craft cocktails, also with rotating features. Beautiful patio, and elegant, comfortable dining room. Dinner is great, and brunch is also delicious. Everything from done with love simple, to done with gusto fancy.
Our server was amazing, very attentive. Only complaint would be that my chair was knocked by the server every time he went by. Doesn't work well with a pinched nerve. Old fashioned.. 2 thumbs up.
This establishment is glorious! From their cocktail selection to their wine list to their delectable entrees. Not to mention Paris... Request her service, she is incredibly delightful!
The Bungalow Club is a wonderful new addition to East Lake Street! We have been three times and each experience has been equally impressive. Cocktails are well crafted and tasty! Wine and Beer list is well curated and offers a number of options to accompany the meal. The food here is outstanding! We have not had a dud yet of the many menu items we've tried. Our favorites include the Smorgasboard, The Octupus and Fennel and the Lasagna. On our most recent trip, we tried the Feast Option at $50/Person and we found this to be an incredible value. This offered us a taste of nearly the entire menu and the four of us were well satisfied with the amount of food and the value. On top of all this, the service is top notch. Servers, Hosts, Bartenders have been welcoming, engaging, helpful and pleasent. We love the ambience, and the pleasent vibe of TBC and will be coming back often!!
Had brunch with friends and it was amazing. I highly recomend the omlette and the buckwheat napoleon. The wine list is impressive & the staff is wonderful. Looking forward to my next visit!!
Excellent happy hour. Food was well-balanced and savory. Hash sticks could change your life. Solid Buffalo Trace old fashioned.
The food and atmosphere are top notch!! The owner Jeremiah and our server Paris were both so personable and attentive! I can t wait to go back and highly recommend to all!!!
After the Craftsmen closed, we weren't sure what would replace it. I waited to review in order to give the Bungalow time to settle in. We have now been there a number of times: for brunch, for after-dinner drinks and dessert, dinner with friends. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly - we got a flight of amaro and the bartender knew a lot about it. Prices are reasonable - it might not be affordable often, but if you eat out in downtown Mpls, you will be amazed at how affordable and quality this place is. There is an outdoor patio, great cocktails, easy parking and you can have a conversation. With our friends, we had 4 apps, 2 entrees and a salad - only one was less than fantastic. Really, you should make the trip.
Ate with a party of 4 at the Bungalow Club this past Friday night. I know they had only been open a few short days but my experience had nothing to do with that particular fact. The menu is pricey for what you get and considering the location. Had a "smorgasbord" appetizer for $16 which did not have enough crackers or bread for the dollops of dips on the plate Ordered more bread (wasn't told that had a cost of $3) and then waiter came and whisked the plate away with the dip still on it. I said, hey I'm still eating on that and he said, "I don't see anything. Starting next week we're offering spatulas for our guests" Rude. Entree of tortelli consisted of about 10 pieces of pasta floating in a clear broth at $19. We will not go back.
Third time there for us. The tasting menu was spectacular. Service was just attentive enough-- not overbearing. Such nice work and right there in Longfellow.
Great food, great service. My son who only eats macaroni and cheese loved the rigatoni.
Thank you for continuing to make amazing food even during this time.
We can t wait to be back with you all.
Great drinks. And great wine list. Even better food. And the service is phenomenal! So happy they are in the neighborhood!
Excellent appetizers, nice wine list! Nice place to have open in the neighborhood, and can t wait to enjoy the patio!
Update: went last night (8/15/18), place was busy, as we needed a reservation. We ordered an appetizer, and it took over 1/2 hour to arrive. In the meantime, we ordered our regular dinners, thinking that the appetizer would come soon. Not to be: we got the appetizer platter (which was very good), but then the main courses came when we had hardly started to eat the appetizer. Timing was way off. Hopefully that was an anomaly.
The charcuterie board was playful and delicious. The pastas were made from scratch and lovely. Such a great blend of acid and salt in their dishes. We left feeling well fed and taken care of.
The food menu is nearly perfection. Never had a sub-par experience. The cocktails are classic, yet unique and the wine list is out of this world. VERY reasonable prices.
This is a one time review, due to uppity waitstaff. The hostess was most gracious, the food was excellent, and we loved the patio. But our waitress lacked manners. We will definitely go back, just hope we don't get this particular waitress again.
The food was amazing, and our very knowledgeable and friendly server did a wonderful job explaining the dishes and making recommendations. All of the wait staff were very helpful and ready to serve us even if we weren t their table. The More
Went here with my wife and had a total blast. The chefs menu is an incredibly fun way to get the full experience!
