Had a fantastic stay here. Slept like a baby. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the location within the city is perfect for getting around to a huge variety of places, especially being right at Grand Central Terminal. Would definitely stay here again.

I was here for a conference. The stage/ballroom area was a pretty good size for everyone to sit comfortably once they opened up the side areas. The reception area was a little cramped relative to the main stage area. Lots of little seats throughout the area if you need to make some calls or get some quick work done. Bathrooms were clean and comfortable.
The Grand Hyatt at Central Station is a unique gem in the middle of a sprawling metropolis. It served as a great launching point for adventures, and the rooms were kept clean and comfortable. The staff was kind, considerate, and helped to make it feel like home away from home. I look forwards to being back in 2018.

great location Enjoyed stay ,comfortable rooms though missed tea maker in room , great shower. front desk staff and housekeeping pleasant and helpful. only moan we went for cocktail on Saturday night 7pm no cocktail glasses had to settle for white wine!!!!!

What a strange hotel. The room itself was dated, and the bathroom had a very strong strange smell. Layout was super odd and the room always seemed cold, with very loud air conditioning. No mini bar - just an empty fridge. The worst thing though is that they hold conferences in the lobby.. i'm talking 400 people crowded into the lobby when you check in.... very strange and not the client experience I would expect. I won't be back.
The Grand Hyatt is a luxurious and very comfortable hotel with excellent customer service amenities. Their conference special rates were very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend it and stay here again.

The restaurant as not very impressive. Out of desert, out of drinks, ran out of food. Left food under heating lamps for a long time before serving.

What's not to love about this place. Location location location. Located right next to grand central station. Walking distance to Bryant park and New York public library.
Only one person at check in counter. The line was long. Poor service. Help desk informed me they were understaffed yet other reviews lament the same thing. The rooms on the other hand were large and clean. Still, unacceptable for a hotel at this price range to have such poor customer service.
The hotel was clean. The staff was mostly friendly. The valet parking that was $150 for 26 hours returned my car damaged. This rating is more about the lack of response to my damaged car. The valet service to a damage report (they asked me to fill out) and I was told the manager would call me the next day. The number I was given did not work and the email address bounced. I emailed customer service and called the hotel to speak with the valet service. Was told the manager would call me back. I called the hotel again and was also told a manager would call me back. I have not heard from them. With parking the one night stay was over $650. You would think an establishment that charges that would have the ability to help a customer. At this time they do not.
It was clean, staff w and s friendly and the rooms were quiet. Would stay there again.
I am a Platinum member w/ Hyatt, yet they put me in a dump room with numerous issues. I don t think the status at Hyatt means a thing!
The rooms at the Grand Hyatt are a huge disappointment.
Walls are awful. The backdrop behind the bed has a coloring that looks like Blood clots, and is very agitating. Who chose this?
Bottom Sheet is not fitted, so it comes loose and bunches up as you sleep. Why can t Hyatt spend a bit more to get fitted sheets for the beds?
The room Door is an inch off the floor, letting all the A/C out into the hall.
Lite switches suck. They are not standard on/off switches, but instead are All press button. You press the button and ALL lights come on or off. Is stupid. Can t use it to turn on or off specific lights.
Fridge didn't work, would not cool. They had to bring in another one. Shoddy maintenance I guess.
A/C is pathetic in the rooms, but very cool in lobby. Hotel obviously spends all money on beautifying & cooling the lobby. The room A/C Is humidifying the room, making it hot and humid.
Found a Used container cap found on floor next to bed. Overall, room is dirty and not well house kept.
Tiny bathroom sink has a shelf above it, making it impossible to use sink to wash face or brush teeth. You hit your head on the shelf while trying to use the sink. What a ridiculous setup this is.
Shower curtain slimy with mold, as is shower tiles. Grout all dark with mold.
TP roll falls into depths of sink cabinet when you try to use it. This is another silly setup. The toilet paper roll is so far back it is almost behind you. And it sits in a hollow cut-out within the bathroom sink/counter. When you try to grab some, the roll falls off the bar and falls into the cabinet. I don t understand who designed these silly room attributes such as the TP roll and the shelf blocking the sink, and the disturbing wall color.
Dirt stain on the small sitting couch.
Wooden waste baskets with no liners. This is down-right disgusting. Think of what gets put into the bathroom trash can. Dirty diapers? Wet-wipes? Used tissues? They have wooden waste baskets with no trash liners. Is Hyatt so cheap that they won t buy trash liners? They are saving money while sacrificing the health standards and cleanliness that they should be striving for. You can bet they will reply to my review and claim that house-keeping thoroughly cleans them. Ha!
We had Do-Not-Disturb sign on door - yet when maid saw us leave room, she asked if we wanted service. What about Do-Not-Disturb, do they not understand?
Restaurant has great service and overlooks 4th. Great value room and the beds were very comfy. Great place to stay.

Big hotel, great location, but one of the old Hyatt. I have been about 3 times there and the view were always limited. Sometimes the price is reasonable then is worth to take. But do not expect too much luxury or great service/food in the restaurant
I had my prom here and it was a very nice space. It was really cool and the only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because the food wasn't too good
Location is the only thing that is good about the hotel. The rest is in need of renovation! The beds are mediocre, the bathroom in my room was in a desolate condition! Due to the central location one is almost in the hotel room already in the middle of the action! It's easy. It loud !!!

Service is subpar and the front desk staff was not friendly. The valet company they have was not attentive and would not answer the phone to get the car. As I travel very often I would expect the service and this hotel to be much better.
Great location, decent price, and good service. Only issue was the small bathrooms. We had a corner suite and the bathroom was still like a closet, the toilet seems like an afterthought and thrown in between the shower and sink. Could have done better design.
Location is very nice being next to Grand Central. Nice hotel and helpful staff. I believe we were there during spring break or holiday for travelers because the lobby was always busy and loud.

The hotel offers a ree rooftop tour everyday at 10am! Worth the trip up to see the view from the 36th floor!

It couldn't be more central. Great starting point for sightseeing in NYC. You can tell the age of the hotel, but it is definitely still ok. You are actually only there to sleep anyway. Hotel is very popular with business people. I would come back anytime.

The rooms are very small and expensive. We order room service and asked for an iron. We are still waiting for room service. The iron never arrived. Service was not good.
This hotel is next to Grand Central Station. Great location, not too close to Times Square but also not too far. I'd say this place is worth the $$.
Light switches are annoying, the bathroom sink does not have room to rinse face,the main issue I had was the lighting I didn't like the lighting in the room,but overall I thought it was a nice stay.

Great location. Rooms large but need a major overhaul and clean. Bathrooms were small even for NYC but most of all the service was terrible. Door staff, Bar staff and mostly reception were some of the most unhelpful and unfriendly people we encountered on our whole trip. The rooms were dirty and the lifts broke down while we were there and we had to take the stairs down from the 26th floor! Would not stay again and there are much better places to stay in NYC.
The lobby and the bar area are a perfect mix for a business meeting or a rendezvous. Clean and not invasive of your privacy but also employees ready at your service.
Nice room, market expensive , and I m sorry but in the bar you need to do more than just tip some whiskey over Ice and orange to make an old fashioned especially a $20 old fashioned. That s Not good enough
I was at the Grand Hyatt for a charity event. They had some of the best food I've had at any charity event in NYC. Fun bar atmosphere as well.
This hotel is worn down. Stay elsewhere. The linens and pillows smell dirty like they are not washed with enough detergent. The manager was very rude to us and provoked me over the phone. We ended up sleeping without pillows. I will never stay at this Hyatt property again. the bathroom is dirty, shower curtain has mold, floor grout is dirty. Unbelievable...
