Beautiful and opulent at least for an Australian hotel.

Truly 5 star located in the Paris end of the CBD. Surrounded by great restaurants and cafes. Courteous friendly staff. Nice comfortable rooms.

OUR FIRST VISIT & can't want to come back! I stayed with my hubbie last week, it was his b'day, the staff arranged for a bottle of champagne, cake & chocolates for him in the room which was so lovely of them & certainly not expected but so so lovely! Thank you! Loved their customer service, we enjoyed the bath in the room & the location of the hotel is great, we loved walking around the city which was buzzing with people! Great restaurant recommendation in the magazine in the room which was for Annam on Little Bourke St, we loved the atmosphere & the food was excellent. We also enjoyed the gym & pool the next day, thank you so much, we look forward to coming back, Anthea xx

Attended UX au conference. good halls. one complaint is nowhere to sit during lunch or even to rest heavy lunch plates

Really nice hotel lobby area. Great breakfast. Room was below standard and was dusty - we had to clean our own bathtub before use! Terrible customer service. We have been attempting to resolve a deposit issue for 3 weeks (not appreciated as we are still on holiday). We have called 7 times and each time been promised a call back but we've heard nothing. Terrible for a 5*.

I have stayed a few times, it's nice and I have no complaints but there's no extra wow factor to warrant 5 stars

Great location. The room was nice, not a great view though. I had a shower before we headed out for dinner - the pipes in the shower made a horrible high pitched noise. I complained to the hotel and they moved us to a better room with a better view. The manager was apologetic. Overall the stay was very good.

I went to the spice lounge for drinks. Reasonable priced and the service was good, music left a little to be desired.

Attended a work related training session this week. The conference facilities were incredible, sound and visuals made the event easy to follow. Food and refreshments provided were great.

Went there for a friend's wedding, lovely venue and excellent food. Friendly and professional staff made that special night even more delightful!

The hotel and staff exceeded all expectations on every front. A spectacular place located in CBD.

Thoroughly enjoyed their express lunch menu. Food served are of high quality and beautifully presented. I have given it 4 stars for having a limited selection on kids menu.

The Grand Hyatt is centrally located in Melbourne, with a tram stop a minute walk away, and all the theatres and high end shops really close. The staff are helpful, and most importantly the rooms are quiet. The quality of the TV was average, and whilst the selection of channels were reasonable (all the usual free channels, plus the ubiquitous history, discovery and 24 hour news channels), you didn't come to Melbourne to sit in your room and watch TV.

Great location in the CBD, close to eateries and best of all friendly staff!

This hotel is our best breakfast for three weeks in Australia

The BLT Roll came as a toasted sandwich which says roll on the menu, and i was really disaapointed, and the fries were frozen fries. It tasted good but was not up to my expectations.

Great hotel and good service. Their breakfast is a must - amazing selection of bread, pastries and eggs. It's a bit on the expensive side at 44 per person but you should get it as part of the room package - I think it will come out cheaper that way. The fruit was amazing and fresh. They also have fresh juices and they can customize per your needs. I asked for a veggie juice and they delivered. Coffee is good as well. The room is big for being in the heart of the city. I had a river view room but the views weren't that impressive to rave about. Bathroom was nice although I hated the shower head (I know I'm not picking now). Location is great. Food alley (center pl and degraves street) are only a couple blocks away. Federation sq is also close by. Tram stops are only a block away. It's in the heart of the upscale shopping district with stores like channel, LV, Gucci etc also close by.

Went to the late night cocktail bar. Our order was taken for 2 drinks and it took them 30 mins for 2 cocktails at 8pm Wednesday night. Service and staff were excellent, just had to wait a long time for drinks

We had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hyatt in a Diplomatic Suite last night. I must say, we were really blown away with this gorgeous room. A particular mention to James for looking after us and making our 10th wedding anniversary, all the more memorable. Fantastic room, fantastic breakfast and fantastic service! Thank you so much!! We can not wait until our next stay.

big room but small bed (we had 2 single bed). room cleaning service not standard. first day no bath soap. day 2 we only got 1 bath towel and day 3 we only got 1 floor towel. but the other things are ok. great view, clean room, fast room service call and helpfull staff.

Hotel was beautiful! Definitely the best hotel in Australia. Its right in the center of Melbourne where everything is within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel! The reason of the 3/5 stars was due to billing and staffing knowledge. Credit card machine was down when I left, was told I'd get a receipt via email, I didn't. Was told that local calling was free by two staff members at the desk (standing together), it wasn't. I had to call to get my receipt and when I did there was a charge for a breakfest that came included in my booking. Overall, not big deals but when using a corporate credit card, its a huge pain to resubmit a expense report. Feedback would be make sure the staff is aware of offerings, and business customers #1 annoyance is incorrect billing on a company card.

it is one of the worst Hyatt in the world ... unfortunately ... the rooms are extremely outdated, the cleanliness left much to be desired ... the staff in the club area is not very helpful and the service is very bad !! too bad for the good location of the hotel

Really liked the locastion of this hotel, it was super easy to drop and run and the cinema in the basement was excellent.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of the CBD. I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for my wedding and I also booked my parents in. We were all delighted with our rooms and they couldn't do enough for us during our stay. They also left me a lovely bottle of champagne in my room for the big day. They replied to all my queries on emails prior to the wedding, so I felt at ease. I am from Melbourne and I am a member of the gym there, I am so comfortable there and it always makes me feel special to go there/stay there. What a great and memorable stay it was. I hope to stay there again for our 1 year anniversary!

Good location, great service and good range of facilities, swimming pool, gym and restaurant. The club at the top level offer a nice refreshment, and good views. Recommended!

Always extremely aesthetically appealing. Great service

Good hospitality, great food. But our spa bath malfunctioned, so the jets didn't work, a water leak soaked a part of the carpet, and the power tripped, giving us no power to any of our wall outlets. Frustration was poorly compensated for, we were offered a free upgrade on our next stay, but we probably won't be returning except for breakfast.

Came here for a few drinks and a quick bite before the tennis. The decor is fantastic and the bar is very nice and intimate - a great place for a night cap after dinner or somewhere to go for a date as it's not too loud for proper conversation. Service is top notch and I will have to try the buffet next time as it looks pretty good!

Excellent ballroom with great viewing angles coupled with finely crafted ceilings. Good sound system and productions as I attended the Hillsong Concert during Christmas holiday. All other events are encouraged to host here. Cheers!
