Great hotel with old, venerable style! Good breakfast in great dining room. Centrally located in Bergen, right by the train station.
Great hotel with old, venerable style! Good breakfast in great dining room. Centrally located in Bergen, right by the train station.
Clean, modern stylish rooms, next to train station, few minutes from city center and fish market, good bed, good breakfast, I would go there again.
Room is on the small size for two people. Staff are friendly anyway.
A nice and good hotel. Good food and good own as a conference venue.
Great location in the vicinity of the train station. Fine and historic premises.
Always a pleasant stay. Clean, nice rooms and good service. A good breakfast as well!
Centrally located, good price, close to many amenities. Good service!
Fantastic hotel. Superb rooms.
The service is superb.
The four-person room is very large. The bathroom floor is very warm. The breakfast is great. It is very close to the station. The room wifi is very weak. Overall, the cp value is very high.
Very good value for money .. With ultra chic decoration
Different interior..Heartful service.good dinnerware
The location is great! It s right beside the train station. They offer free breakfast and coffee, which is very thoughtful. However, this hotel did not satisfy my basic need. I had bad sleep here, because of the over soft bed and noises from other rooms. I could even hear my neighbors snoring...not to mention the television sound and conversations.
Very comfortable, spacious rooms and bathrooms, clean, staff very polite and excellent breakfast. It is a very convenient place to stay. The best quality:price ratio.
Old and nice style, the rooms are a bit tired. Had a bath with shower, where the shower head splashed in all directions and the bathroom generally needed a refreshment.
As for the price / quality ratio, the hotel is poor. The quality does not exceed Ibisa. Bathroom small, siemier na. The fact that the building is historic does not mean that the rooms can not be renovated. When planning accommodation in beautiful Bergen, think about whether it is worth to find something cheaper in a similar standard.
Nice, cozy and centrally located. Good breakfast in a hotel with charm and character. Very nice surroundings in a hotel protected in 2012. We only had one overnight stay on our motorcycle trip.
These rooms reminded me of the barracks where I did my military service. Time for refurbishment.
Really friendly hotel right next to train station and 10 minute walk to the harbour. Staff were great as was breakfast. Bergen is beautiful.
Great spot, nice and clean. Exceptional bar and very affordable. Recommended
Very good center three minutes train station five station bus and bus to airport
Beautiful classic room. Great breakfast. Bar and cocooning lounge
Let's go there
Very old hotel but very nice. It's like antique place because all furnitures are old along with structures. But located in a convenient place near to station so traveling is easy. Staffs are good and helpful. Breakfast is fantastic.
Good hotel situated just by the train station. Good location for visiting Bergen. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful classical building, beautiful interior and beautiful art. Cozy lobby where you can also eat tasty dishes.
Modern bathrooms. Some unfortunate beds for me. Box spring where I slid several times with the mattress upstairs. My roommate fell out of bed at half past two in the morning with a mattress and all of it. Perhaps better in other rooms. Ideal location relative to station.
Nice rooms, great prices to the standard of the hotel. Downtown Close.
Perfect location, near the train and bus stations. I love older hotels like Grand Hotel Terminus with an interesting story. I would stay just for the morning breakfast!
Not ready for conference dinners. Service was painfully slow, and our table forgotten several times. Food was OK.
Room and food are ok but nothing special, nice bar in the hotel and not far from center
Very beautiful and elegant hotel with history and lovely staff. Extra plus for the free laundry room. Extremely good value for money, get the suite!
A nice hotel. The single rooms are a bit small. Even so, there is a bathtub in the single room. The breakfast buffet is excellent! Gladly again.
Bergen station is in front of you
Breakfast is delicious
10 minutes walk to Bryggen
It was a very comfortable stay. Faced a problem with the locks at the room allotted to us, but the staff we're very friendly and provided us with replacement rooms immediately. The breakfast selection was varied and delicious.
The most terrible hotel experience ever! We spent 3 nights a Grand Terminus in Bergen. The first day we were surprised with very loud drilling and banging coming from inside the hotel. It lasted for the entire stay from morni ng till after 16. We couldn't hear each other speak. The reception staff had not warned us about it and when we asked we received a very brushed off answer: oh, right, we are building a new floor office. The room and bathroom look like a run down cheap hostel, damp and sad looking. Spending 150 euro per night was a total rip off. One star for the location.
Fair Hotel, close to downtown and 2 minutes from bus and train station.
Fine hotel option right next to Bergen Central Station. The concierge was quite unhelpful offering restaurant recommendations and suggestions for sites to see in the city. They suggested a restaurant that was closed. At the very least, they could have pointed us toward the pamphlets to the left of the desk. The room was just okay.
Hotel conveniently located next to the train station and 10 minutes walk from the center. Historic hotel of character, the spirit of the eve building has been preserved while offering all modern services. Nice bathroom and bedroom with high ceilings. Coffee machine available in the room. The breakfast is amazing, the buffet is huge and offers a very varied choice of products ranging from smoked salmon, fried eggs and various seeds. For vegans they even have soy milk and rice milk. Pleasant staff, even the night watchman very well informed us.
Good breakfast after getting off the sleeper train. Excellent continental range of cold items and reasonable hot selection.
The finest hotel rooms have had, room 510, good breakfast in nice dining room and close to train station / bus and taxi
Old rooms with musty smell, faulty doors and safe. Thin walls to hear neighbour's room. No parking. Must park another building so cannot multiple reentry. Receptionists variable. Some pleasant some rude. Can't wait to shoo me off and ask me to just read myself the info sheet. Not helpful in making any restaurant recommendations too. Almost rolled eyes at me when I asked abt parking stuff.
Has become very old, and could need a wash. Lists in the banquet halls have probably not seen a washcloth in a while.
This review pertains only to the Terminus hotel's dinner party services. Our medium-sized group had a traditional Christmas dinner in the new wing. The lutefisk could have been very acceptable but unfortunately it was served almost cold, which is very bad for lutefisk; the small first course of the vegetarian option was good. The dessert was disappointing: a rice cream that tasted like it had not been near much cream, served with a red sauce that had not seen much red fruit. Service was rather slow and made some errors. On the whole the dinner was edible, but far from excellent.
Great hotel in the city centre. The breakfast were for everything (even vegetarian), hot and cold meal. The rooms were perfect. I absollutely can recommend this place.
Excellent hotel. Room, service and breakfast all top knotch
My favorite was the amazing breakfast! Older hotel, but still awesome.
Here it is a hotel with charm and personality back to the roots of Bergen. If you love art then this charming hotel is a must to stay at. BUT! ...... Terminus's incredible Whiskey bar is the rawest whiskey specialist I've ever been to. Here are the personnel who can teach the most famous whiskey connoisseur one thing and.
The details testify to the slow decay that seems to have affected the Grand Hotel Terminus: a rough painting, a splendid badly repaired inlay or an antique parquet roughly covered with carpet. There is a strong scent of a wasted opportunity only partially mitigated by an excellent breakfast, a decidedly above average service and above all the fascinating story of the last night spent here by Roald Amudsen.
Beautiful old world hotel. Excellent service and knowledgeable staff! Takk!
A bit noisy towards the street, otherwise nice family room and lovely breakfast. Very nice ladies at the reception ..
The atmosphere is wonderful, but the food is dull and not allergy-friendly at all.
A rather nice hotel but old and dark ... but it's Bergen, a city under the clouds and well watered.
Nice junior suite, bath was great, would reccomend soundproofing the window/vents... also the top blankets need washing... ours had not been washed in a very long time. Was nice they had glutenfree bread at breakfast, but would be great with more options besides cold foods and meats.
The "de luxe" room is horrible, dirty, without air conditioning or fan. The bathroom full of fungus and ramshackle, the tub of tin and slippery. They didn't even restock the toilet paper. The attention at the reception is terrible. It has 2 stars left over.
Recently renovated grand hotel . Very nice breakfast . Very small rooms . Overall a great price value
It has an amazing breakfast though the pull out couches are not desireable.
Hotel is located in a convenient location. We stayed there during the pandemic period. Only breakfast was taken, rest of the we had to eat at room. Nice and clean, both room and surroundings. Friendly staff.
Very close to bus station and railway station. Waking distance to many attractions.
The room is small and the equipment is a bit old. The breakfast is varied, rich and delicious. The WiFi network is fast. The service staff is very good.
Good food. A dignified and beautiful hotel with warm atmosphere.
The hotel was fine, but had been well refurbished. The breakfast was decent.
Superb hotel, spacious rooms, comfortable bedding, breakfast of madness, helpful staff.
