Whiskey bar, and heated bathroom floors and comfy beds. I like this place.
Whiskey bar, and heated bathroom floors and comfy beds. I like this place.
Hotel very well located near the port and next to the train station. Beautiful building out of time. Nice room. Wifi a little behind (thick wall)
Very nice and well maintained hotel in old and classic style, distant modern and sterile standard hotel buildings. Grand Hotel Terminus opened its doors in 1928 and still offers much of the old and pleasant atmosphere. The rooms are well-kept and seem to be well maintained and refurbished.
The breakfast restaurant on the ground floor offers a well-presented buffet that probably won't disappoint anyone.
The location, a stone's throw from Bergen's central station, makes the hotel a very good choice for anyone traveling by train. The car-borne finds a large parking garage a few minutes walk away, directly adjacent to a larger shopping center.
Very poor on follow-up to allergy - served 3 out of 3 dishes without care being taken - had to ask several before they found out that "oups, this you can not eat anyway". Only gluten-free option: defrosted frozen bread so dry that it was impossible to eat.
Very happy with the service and attention of the staff.
Also appreciate the Whisky bar, which was a positive experience: Very knowledgeable.
Rooms and breakfast were very good. Very clean convenient location for getting on and off trains. Staff were nice and polite.
No one over .. No one next ... We are greeted by smiling and friendly staff .. The meeting room was freshly painted, tables and chairs ... Water, glass and candles on the table ... Great atmosphere in this hotel ..
An old-time hotel, very good staff. One can get breakfast packed if leaving early. Only problem is difficulty in accessing power points and no common switch to switch-off lights.
Absolutely ok. Small rooms and a little worn. The beds could have been a lot better.
Nice and calm atmosphere with a classic but modern interior. Staff was very nice
Lovely and venerable hotel right in the center of Bergen.
Hot water and fruits available at the lounge bar.
Old hotel but staff was professional. Outside paved road makes it hard for wheeled luggage.
Just couple minutes walk from train and metro station.
Check in was fast. It's located directly next to the train station. Front desk was super helpful. Breakfast was amazing buffet style with so many delicious options. Our room was nice and clean.
Nothing negative to say about this. Great service, good rooms
Elegant, centrally located with a parking garage.
Very centrally located, yet a quiet and pleasant hotel.
Good kitchen, food and friendly service.
Good hotel with good food and friendly service. But the miserable bed puts you down the cart.
A little small room, no chair to sit on. Right in the center, good parking in Parker house in the center.
A delicious breakfast is included near the train station.
Stylish, but somewhat worn. Great atmosphere, though, and great food. Add to the mix one of Norway's finest whisky bars, and you're there.
Very clean. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Conference rooms at the top
I got a free upgrade to villa terminus, which was very Nice. The room was completely New. Good breakfast, and very good transportation.
Ok tourist class hotel with small rooms and even smaller bathrooms. Healthy breakfast with a lot of choices. Will stay here again.
Great location, close to airport bus, and train station. Walking distance from a few restaurants. Pleasant rooms which are not completely unpersonal.
Nice room, nice but small bathroom. Hairdryer with little effect, sickly irritating. Good service, nice and clean gym.
Stayed at the hotel for two nights. A good hotel, with great service and a smiling and welcoming staff. I have seen cleaner rooms and the hotel does seem a bit worn but that is expected with the age of the hotel. The whiskey bar downstairs is quite impressive and their selection is outstanding! Would stay again.
Incredibly nice room with delicious decor! Great rooms and very central location!
Nice architecture and location. Some rooms are a bit small.
Beautiful charming hotel that pleasantly changes hotels like Ikea. Very good value for money. Superb breakfast with mini pastries of exception.
Good information, good food, lack of air conditioning that day.
Everything about this hotel has a good and professional atmosphere!
Maybe not the place for the intimate moments but the profile of the proffesional people !.
Well suited for a short stay. Rooms could be a little bigger ...
Very nice hotel! Recently upgraded. Very nice staff, located in the middle of the grease island next to the train station and the Marken. Amazing food. Recommended!
OK, let's start with the bad points.
Yes the rooms are small, pretty much Parisian dimensions. And yes the sound insulation could be better, both from the outside and adjacent rooms.
Now with that out of the way..
The hotel is a 1920s building that still retains a lot of the period charm which I happen to like. It's conveniently located next to the train station, the light rail stop and a few minutes from the center. There's a bar/restaurant. Not a big menu but what they do serve they do well.
Breakfast is an excellent spread with a lot of organic products, all fresh, all in ample supply. There's a coffee machine on the ground floor that's free to use and there's a service room with washer/dryer and iron.
Rooms.. some reviewers suggest it's recent subdivision that makes them small. I do wonder.. I've been in a hotel that served a similar function in Denmark and that also had small rooms because it was designed for short stay.
Despite that.. it might be small but I didn't feel cramped and at 6ft 6 I'm not exactly a small person. Shower was good, plenty of water pressure.
Pretty much the only thing I disliked about the room was the lack of wall sockets at the desk.
Staff was without exception friendly and provided a very warm welcome without appearing insincere. And this being Norway of course they all speak excellent English.
All in all a pretty good place to stay and I would visit again.
Location is great. Close to train line and breakfast was a great spread
Nice hotel in a good location. The breakfast is quite good. The only issue is that it's a bit noisy.
Nice hotel, which has kept its distinctive character.
Old hotel but clean and conveniently located to the train station. Bar staff were friendly and helpful
Great central location in the center of Bergen. Very good food in the restaurant and excellent service. Recommended (Was in the hotel ifm course, did not stay overnight.)
Very nice stay! Great location....right next to train station. Amazing, delicious breakfast and they offer lunch at great price! Staff super friendly and helpful! Loved it!
Old venerable hotel with the best whiskey in the Nordic countries.
It's a good place to stay in Bergen. They could rent You umbrella, bike if you need. But some details are not the Best :/
The breakfast buffet was great and the free coffee & tea 24/7 a great service.
The room itself was okay. But, the bathroom was extremely small.
Huge cozy hotel with good atmosphere. Nice and helpful staff. The breakfast was very nice and with an exciting selection. Recommended!
Historic establishment as perfect as its reputation
The rooms were small even for Europe. The temperature control didn't work and it would get too hot with window closed and too cool with it open. The plus is it was quiet and good location. Not much of a bar or restaurant downstairs kinda dead. They gave us a double bed even though we wanted single but were quick to fix.
Room was old, the door won't be locked until you wait 2 mintes.
Great old hotel. Huge selection at breakfast and great service.
The atmosphere of the building is good overall and the rooms are stylish. As it is right beside the station, convenience is also high.
Good ubication. A little old but very clean. Excellent breakfast ..
I had a group dinner. It was fairly inexpensive and the quality was very good for the price.
I highly recommend this place. Helpful reception. Room change without a problem. The hotel requires renewal of the communication routes and the replacement of carpets. Some rooms with old carpets remember various events and events, which results in an unpleasant smell or an allergy. Order rooms without carpeting and with a renovated bathroom, and you will be satisfied. Open 24/7 gym. Food in the restaurant (bar) delicious, and priced at the level of average city prices.
Breakfast is very varied and tasty, but warm dishes are not always warm or a little dry.
Hotel needs refurbishment- which is happening (04.2018). Breakfasts are good, service as well.
Small and boring room with no view. Good breakfast and cleaning. Fine whiskeys.
The country's best whiskey bar with people having a good bearing.
Great place for having a dinnet at for an event in central Bergen.
A lovely stylish old hotel. Superb restaurant. Amundsen connections. Excellent location by the railway station. Easy walk to the town centre.
Without praise and without infamy. The rooms are very small and the structure needs more maintenance. The only advantage is the proximity to the historic center of Berger. The restaurant inside the hotel has exceeded the sufficiency. The service is fast, but the dishes are limited to Norwegian cuisine. Breakfast is different but only because it is international. Prices a little dear.
