Grand Cayman Marriott Review

This resort is quaint and feels much more like a boutique hotel than a chain, which I personally love. The lobby bar area is lively. The breakfast buffet is well worth it as you could easily get to the same $30 ordering a la carte without as many options and the food is delicious. There is a crepe bar in the morning and evening daily. There is also a sushi bar every evening. The hotel also does a great job of different nightly dining options such as Tapas, Brews and Ribs, Seafood night, etc. The service is impeccable. When I revisit the Caymans, it will be difficult to find a better experience.

Wonderful vacation spot from the front door attendant to the restaurant staff. I have been treated well. Thank you Brandon, Nelson, Omar, Walter and Andrea. You all made my wedding and honeymoon very special.

The resort was amazing. Steps from the beach and pool. Kid friendly and plenty of activities to do. Food in each area had great cuisines. Feel free to go outside the resort for even more choices on food. We tried Craft, Catch, Cimboco, Deckers. Staff was very helpful. Would definitely go back. I only gave 4 stars as the resort has a daily resort fee of $50 for using all of their amenities like scuba and snorkeling gear, kayaks, bicycles, etc.

We had the best vacation. This hotel has the best location, the most fabulous beach with giant floats on the ocean, with such calm waters that you can wade out into and sit on the floats/ floating rafts to enjoy the sunset with the family. The pool and jacuzzi are excellent, they have sun beds on the tiny shoreline, a gorgeous restaurant (Veranda) that serves the best food, Vista the bar has amazing cocktails. They have unique theme nights every evening for their guests and the staff at all their restaurants and bars are just absolutely amazing, attentive, friendly, accommodating to all your needs and very very polite and professional!
I d like to mention Phillip at Vista bar and Allwyn at Veranda were outstanding for their service!!
The hotel provides all sorts of services to guests, including a DJ at their indoor dining/ coffee shop in the evenings, car rentals, complete access to Red Sail water-sports, entertainment for the kids and so much more. Also walking distance from shops, restaurants, bars and Caymana Bay!
The Marriott at the seven mile beach has everything you could hope for, this is the place to be. Thank you for making our holiday a dream. We will be back!

Great place to stay! Water sports and plenty of freebies offered daily for your enjoyment! Friendly staff! But food and bar prices overrated and super expensive.

Loved the Wednesday night lobster fete! Cayman lobster is a special treat not to be missed when visiting Grand Cayman! The Veranda is an elegant waterfront restaurant with amazing sunsets!

Always a good selection, although the storms have taken the beach all the way up to the seawall. Rooms are clean and spacious, service is solid.

Very low key, calm resort. Friendly staff. Good food. Superb bartender - - ask for Danny, he's the best mixologist and local guide to great places on the. island

This was our first visit to the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here from the moment we stepped out of the taxi.

The warm friendly welcome was immediately felt at the reception as we were treated to a cool refreshing drink and every person was so kind and thoughtful.

Of course, it can be a routine that lasts for the first 15 minutes, but this resort just keeps on with warm welcomes, greeting you by name, enquiring if you d like the same drink (by name) as before. It s amazing how every single staff member has a happy greeting and wishing you a nice day. We noticed this from the restaurant staff, beach towel hut, beach chair valet, servers at the beach, every day, every area of the resort we were reminded of the great training and caring... it s overwhelming and made us feel like VIP s!!!

The amenities and kids activities really hit home for our 7 year old! He loved the Pajama Party as we enjoyed the Lobster Fete! Wow, what an elegant dining experience from the live band to the sunset at the Veranda restaurant.

Fortunately for us, we will be here for three more days which we will enjoy every aspect of this well designed and operated Marriott resort! This is my first run at the review and I may find more accolades to share.

Just a great experience! Staff was cleverly accommodating.

The place wasn't fancy but very nice and clean. The courtesy and helpfulness of the staff was wonderful.

Love this hotel from the beach feel in the lobby and open air to the hotel rooms to the friendly staff to the amenities. Everything you need is right there for you.

Was amazing. Perfect location on Seven Mile Beach. There's a private beach, outdoor restaurant, indoor restaurant, and many other amenities. Sure to enjoy.

Did not like the service and the food in the buffet areas had too many flies landing on the food. Plus the food should have been covered.

The Marriott Beach Resort was great. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to help. The amenities were great it had everything for everyone in the family. Beach area was clean. Rooms spacious and clean. We will be staying there again.

Best hotel ever!! The food at the anchor and den restaurant in the hotel is fabulous!! Cannot day enough great thing about it the food is delicious!! This hotel is so clean and nice!! Everyone is so kind and welcoming!! Their are so many great options for kids to do they have a game room, kids club fun activities for the kids to do throughout the day!! The also have free paddle boards, canoes, snorkeling goggles and flippers!! I can not recommend this hotel enough!! Kid friendly and great people and service and great food!!

The Marriott Beach House at Grand Cayman is pretty much at perfect hotel. Clear water and nice staff. Marriott Beach House at Grand Cayman has great Sunday brunch. Marriott Beach House at Grand Cayman offers free activities like snorkeling and paddleboarding. Very good food I would stay at Marriott Beach House at Grand Cayman again and recommend to friends.

Great lobster dinner on Wednesdays and great ocean front seating.

The lost of beach front put a little bit of a damper on our vacation The staff is great and they make it their mission to provide great service to their guests. The pool and beach servers were great. This a great hotel to stay in but they need to fix the beach front. It's extremely difficult to get on the sand from the water due to quick sinking of the feet. Their is a drop when going into the water due to beach erosion.
I would like to go back but they will need to fix the beach area. My husband loves the Caribbean waters, but went in twice and had difficulty getting out of water onto the beach.

Terrible service overall. Rude staff. To add - half way through our stay - There was a large dog on the beach with an owner swimming in the ocean and both Harassing visitors on their rafts and the ones just swimming, including kids. Staff reported to management, who did not care to take action. It was uncomfortable at the least as there was this big dog with small kids everywhere and adults did not appreciate it either. Clear and beautiful ocean water had this large dog swimming and jumping on everything. What is supposed to be a paradise diminished to just another beach, just with a large dog in it. Not a resort like atmosphere. Second, and last time here. To add, there are much newer resorts around with much better beach. This one is much narrower last time we were here a couple of years ago. Everything is just not the same... and old.

Great resort... Great staff, plenty of beach chairs, snorkling directly off the beach.... Beautiful sunsets...

We had a lovely time in Grand Cayman and the staff at the Marriott could not have been nicer. We loved our housekeeper Evelyn on third floor, was always very helpful and took great care of us.

Super cafeteria at the lobby with great and friendly staff! Ask for the chocolate pie.

Stayed there about 3 years ago and had a wonderful experience, going back in a couple of weeks because we had such a great time. The restaurant is fantastic and the waiters are amazing as well.

Expensive, hotel rooms are old but they try to be modern but not quiet there yet.

If I could give this resort zero stars I would. For starters, they literally have no beach area. Zilch. On top of that, they have a very small pool considering the size of the resort and no beach. We are here for Christmas and guests have to walk up at 6:30 am to put their towels and belongings down just to get a place to lay out. The chairs are full by 7:00 am. They stack the chairs so close together in areas there is no room on either side for a beach bag or to place your drink. We literally cut short our stay and are heading to the Westin for the remaining couple days. DO NOT WASTE your MONEY or POINTS here!!!!! Management was unapologetic and act like oh well. Evidentially they did us a favor leaving 2 days early to pay for a much more expensive room. BTW, the rooms are completely dated with old 70 s green and tan pattern carpet. I m guessing most guests like us don t know they been had until they arrive because you wouldn t know from the website. Shame on Marriott. You should fire Mgt here and fix the pool issue or stop overselling the hotel!!

Check in/out: we had requested a 2 pm check in weeks in advanced but the room wasn t ready until 3:20. Not a huge deal since we could wait by the bar but it would have been nice to settle in when we had requested.
Room: the room was huge and had a courtyard view even though we hadn t paid extra for that view. The room had a slight milldew smell but I m sure that was hard to help since it was humid outside. The bed was very comfortable as well and the cleaning crew did a great job cleaning our room every day.
Beach/pool: very small beach, we walked about 2 miles up the beach and every other hotel had a much much larger beach. Though they did make up for the small beach in other ways. It didn t end up being so bad. They had a man made reef in the water so we could snorkel and see tons of fish. It was nice that bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkel gear was free to use. The pool was also Small and always filled with kids. The outdoor showers were nice for cleaning off after a swim or getting the sand off.
Food/beverage: The food was AMAZING! I ve never eaten better. They had special nights with different Menus and themes and the food was always great. Definitely recommend the Argentinian food. The drinks were okay. When i think of beach i think of margaritas and they made all their margaritas with Jose Cuervo which was a disappointment since that s not even real tequila. They had a small tequila selection behind the bar as well. But with don Julio, it was great. I enjoyed the free fruit and s mores they had. It was a nice bonus. The crepes were another one of my favorite foods they had. Also the coffee was really really good. I forgot to buy a bag before i left and i was super bummed once i realized that.
Customer service: best customer service I ve ever had at a hotel. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help you. Neil and Michelle were great. They always made sure we had water on the beach to stay hydrated. They also made sure to learn our names. The concierge was also very nice and helpful booking our stingray city tour.
Spa: was under renovations so we missed out.
Turtle pond: was closed for cleaning, bummed we missed that since there are supposedly endangered turtles that live in it.
The hotel has a very young feel, trendy interior and bumping nightlife but in reality it was geared more towards families. Lots of kids running around. I thought It would be more for couples originally but still had a great time.

Awesome, gorgous, beautiful, breathtaking, water is so pretty, the people who work at the Marriott are AWESOME!!!!!

The team here works very hard to attend to your every desire. Floating trampolines abound, staff circulate bringing you pineapple and buffing your sunglasses (no joke), and snorkeling is available directly behind the hotel. I don't think I heard the word "no" one time during my stay. Wonderful!

Lovely property with snorkeling and reef right off the beach. Great food and service. Perfect for a memorable vacation.

Good resort. Nice facilities. Be ware of Grand Caymans Fees . They are at most of the places here.

Plenty of things to do at the hotel and close to the hotel. Beach gets a little crowded but good staff. Beautiful view.

We were there for one week with family. Hotel and the staff were simply above and beyond. I have been to Cayman Island a few times, first time at the Marriott, and I highly recommend it to anyone who expects a great hospitality, service, and class. Food is also great, and very accommodating. Food prices are lower than most 5-star restaurants outside with a greater service. I will definitely return without hesitation.

Very nice hotel. Disappointed with how we were treated during our honeymoon. The most uncomfortable Marriott beds we have ever slept on. As a titanium elite member and being on our honeymoon we expected more.

This hotel has a great location on a pristine beach, with lots of delicious restaurants and activities nearby. The interior is nicely decorated, and the rooms are comfortable. The resort staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. I will be staying here again when I return.

Best hotel ive ever stayed at period. The staff is very welcoming and make sure you feel at home. Great snorkeling on beach and water sports. Also great outdoor lunch area. And the sunset views cant be beat. all in all if ur planning a trip to grand cayman this place should be on the top of your list for sure

Absolutely no beach frontage. They did not tell us when booking. The rooms were outdated comparable to what a Marriott is known for. <br/> If you re looking for a beach vacation please look to different hotels, very disappointing.

Love the foods, service and atmosphere. You can't say NO!

We simply love it! Have recently returned for second visit and you do that only when you love the place and the people. They go above and beyond to take care of you. Resort is well located, have great beach, good pool, good choice of food and activities for all age groups. Our first visit was as couple and now as family with 2 kids..Glad we chose it.

You will get the dream ambiance, service and memories. This is living it!

Would definitely recommend. Great service and lots of activities for the kids. Beach isn't great becaise of small size but the water is fantastic. We were here at high season so it was packed but still enjoyed it.

Fantastic Beach House Resort! The most amazing staff.

A very good hotel with great food inside and outside restaurants. Use the in-house Red Sail sports for diving.

This hotel was wonderful! The service of each employee was beyond remarkable. The price of the hotel was also great. The resort fee included paddle boarding, kayaking, use of a GoPro, and so much more. We were within walking distance of The Royal Palms which we also visited frequently, they had great food and drinks. The Anchor and Den was inside the hotel and i thought the food was ok.. the Veranda which was located outside the hotel had much better food in my opinion, it might ve just been the options were more of my liking. But Neil who accommodated us everyday outside, was GREAT! He was so friendly and personable, truly made the experience that much better! We will definitely be back!!
