Spent 4 awsome nights at this Hotel. Everything and everyone was wonderful. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. The Solana restaurant is excellent, went there 2x. Ask for RAVI he is the best. The only thing to improve is the condition of those floating rings in the water. They are littered with trash and algae. Otherwise great place to vacation!

We had an excellent stay at this Marriott! Very clean rooms and staff is very friendly and helpful. The two restaurants both serve delicious meals. Very nice pool and hot tub area with plenty of chairs and a few cabanas. The beach area is small but this area of Seven Mile beach is beautiful nonetheless. Resort fee includes many great amenities! Staying here was absolutely worth it, highly recommended!

Fifth stay there. Staff is friendly and helpful. They greeted us every time we passed a staff member. The property isn't new but is well maintained. The beach is fantastic and kept clean every morning.

Beautiful beautiful hotel, with so many great choices to pick from with the food to activities, and much more!! Staff are extremely kind and helpful in all departments! A great place to stay on the island!

Upscale, larger hotel, trying to project a small "beach-house" vibe.

We had a nice "courtyard view" room, which wasn't as deluxe as the ocean-view but better than facing one of the other hotels. Gave us a very relaxing and quiet place to stay when we weren't out and about.

The recent hurricanes have decimated their beach, but hopefully they will be able to restore it before too long. As it is, you can snorkle or swim inside the artificial reef, but there's not enough sand to walk on in front of the hotel.

On our floor (5) there was a large water-filtering station (next to the ice machine) where you could fill your pitcher (provided) or thermos (if you have one). This is part of their effort to cut down on plastic waste. Something we appreciated.

Decent hotel, rooms not so impressive. From the ocean view room could hear people's conversations who were laying poolside. Maybe not best location for the pool. Food was very much tasty but service was slow as molasses in January. Hotel staff were also friendly.

AMAZING! I loved my room, I loved the people working here, everything was so incredibly enjoyable and peaceful. The food was amazing, better than some of the restaurants nearby. I loved the stay here!

Absolutely the best Marriott I ve been to. Right on the 7-mike beach. Great food, intoxicating smells and the most beautiful water I ve ever seen. The staff was top notch and always willing to help, provide recommendations and go the extra mile.

All staff personnel at desk, on the floor and outside were extremely helpful and courteous. All very friendly ( not phony ).
Olga, Alex, Luis , Courtney,Carey Ann, and Stephanie just to name a few of the Marriott's personnel.
I will stay at the Marriott again when I return.
I think they should lower the price of coffee in the breakfast area though.

Staff was very courteous and always helpful. We had the ocean view room. Ocean was beautiful even though the balcony was small. Snorkelling right off beach was very convenient with red sail sports on the premises to set you up with ocean sports activities. Suggested improvements would be to have the paddle boards and kayaks available at 7 am until 7 pm. It is very hot in June and would rather avoid the hottest time of the day. Glad we brought our snorkel gear other wise we would have lost a lot of snorkelling opportunities.

This review is for a stay of two adults for five nights beginning of December. Overall rating of three (would be a two and a half if possible) is based on price/value ratio with below pros and cons.

Pros

- Beach is clean, has nice sand and water is very clean. Beach area is very narrow and fits three rows of sun beds only, making it somewhat crowded.
- Staff is very friendly and helpful.
- Location is great for beach walks north, e.g. to Luca for lunch or the Kimpton for tapas dinner at their Coccoloba restaurant (20min and 50min walks respectively).

Cons
- Hotel rooms and general hotel facilities are dated and need a serious overhaul. Windows in room are not soundproof. Showers have used shower curtains which imho is not clean due to bacteria.
- AC units are outdated and make noise when not running, making it hard to sleep.
- Bathroom amenities are missing standard items such as cotton swaps (q-tips).
- Gym is very small and gets overcrowded at morning peak hours. There are four thread mills, four ellipticals, two benches for weight training and one stationary workout machine. Eight people and it gets jam packed.

Excellent place to stay. Offers so much, from the welcome drinks to the the beach toys, bikes and snorkel gear to the hotel gym. The snorkeling right behind the hotel was the best we experienced on smb. A special kudos to cate (I think in reception) for being amazingly friendly and going all out to make us feel comfortable.

From the minute we entered Grand Cayman Marriott we felt very welcomed. Every single staff member is very nice and helpful. We were welcomed with a nice drink and an upgrade on our reservation. Hotel was clean and looks like recently upgraded. Restaurant had great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pool and beach were great as well. There was alot of activities planned for kids and adults. Would definitely come back again!

False advertising, NO BEACH at the Marriott

False advertising, NO BEACH at the Marriott
"Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort
389 West Bay Road, Seven Mile Beach KY1-1202, Grand Cayman
Back in 2003-2004 Marriott Grand Cayman Beach Resort did not have a beach. They fixed the problem, restored the beach and recovered. Unfortunately, the problem is back. Since 2017 they have once again lost their beach. However, this time they have not fixed the problem. Their situation is made worse because of storms. Rocks and seaweed are pushed into shore. All of this creates very unhappy customers because no one is honestly told about the situation and lack of beach before they arrange their vacation.
This brings us to our own review. We have just returned from a vacation at the Marriott Grand Cayman Beach Resort and to our surprise there is no beach! We have vacationed here two times before and back then we enjoyed the beach. What happened? The Marriott workers explained that it is due to a December storm. This explanation seems unlikely and inadequate. On our last day of the vacation we were told that the beach suffers from sand migration.
Upon returning to Buffalo I started reading reviews on Trip Advisor going back to 2003. I ve read about numerous vacationers leaving the Marriott for the Westin Hotel because of the beach problem and the lack of facilities and space around the pool.
This is very upsetting because it is a known problem around Grand Cayman. Cab drivers talk about it as they transfer people from the Marriott to other hotels. So, how can the Marriott continue to display photographs online that show a full beach area and how can they continue to call themselves a beach resort. This is false advertising.
In response to the NO BEACH reviews, Marriott explains that they are offering private transportation to and from the hotel to other nearby beach sites, complimentary tickets to a water taxi to Camana Bay, use of Linus bikes, and Yoga and meditation. All of this is nice but rather than hold back information and make decisions for guests, we would prefer full-disclosure and the freedom to make our own decisions about the choice of hotel. The complimentary services are meant to pacify guests after learning that the Marriott has not been honest. This might be fine for some guests, but for others it is bait and switch, followed by a cover-up.
We work very hard all year and look forward to a nice beach vacation. Visitors such as ourselves are forced to sit by an overly crowded pool area. In our case we also tried going in the hot tub by the pool but were unable to because it was overrun with small children! This is despite the fact that a large sign by the hot tub states no children under the age of 16 are allowed. Obviously not enforced by the Marriott staff.
We are very displeased. The Marriott Grand Cayman Beach Resort is not cheap. We did not get what is stated by the Marriott a beach resort."

Beautiful resort & great customer service. Everyone goes above and beyond. No regrets, possibly our best Caribbean experience. Grand Cayman merchants typically add 15% gratuity to everything, expect it at the Marriott. Not a discount destination, but they do include some amenities and you can save by eating at nearby restaurants and visiting the store.

Beach is lovely, hotel rooms are spacious and the food is AMAZING. I keep coming back for the breakfast foods and brunch is a real favourite among my family and friends. Service is amazing; the cleaners and beach boys remembered our names! Lovely hotel, would recommend.

If you're at Grand Cayman, make sure you book your accommodations at the Grand Cayman Marriott Hotel. Top notch service! Rooms are clean and cozy. All the staff from front desk to room service were professional and they do service with a smile. Special mention to David, Myles, Danica at Vista Bar by the beach, Walter and Marjorie at Veranda Restaurant, Jason at the sushi bar, Syrene and Adam at Anchor & Den, Christine at the spa, and Jesus at the front desk. Our stay was more than special with them working to make sure that we have a very memorable stay!!

This resort was just fabulous. Great atmosphere. Perfect location on the Beach. Staff were amazing especially Alphonso with the Coutesy Bikes and Michelle outside on the Beach. The Staff are all so incredibly wonderful and International which adds to the flavour of the Hotel. We Loved everything. If I had to find fault is that it is expensive but so is everything on this paradise island. Our Room overlooking the Pool and the Beach was the best. Even the Guests were all lovely.
You will definitely enjoy if u are luck enough to go there

Great location and good rooms if you spring for the ocean view or courtyard view but standard rooms get a view of the property next door. The real reason for my 5 stars is the service at the property. They were absolutely fantastic! I am a Marriott platinum elite member and while I have seen a bit of a decline in the quality of Marriott corporate customer service, the staff at most properties continues to be the best in the industry.
One other point worth mentioning is your choice for excursions. The hotel offers in-house booking through Red Sail Sports. They are good but overpriced. We went through Rowan Watersports through Trip Advisor and had a great experience.

While this resort is 25 years old, you wouldn't know it. The property is well maintained and has all the amenities you would expect from a Marriott Resort of this generation

The check in processing was seamless and quick, bell staff and valet attendants are fantastic. The only area where improvement that is needed is the concierge service. Poor engagement should be expected until this is resolved.

Ample parking is available, and local restaurants are a bike ride away (bicycles are provided by the Marriott for free). Avoid the hassles by taking the free shuttle to Georgetown

Gets 4.5 stars from me

Actually very nice hotel. Marriott quality has been very disappointing lately, so this hotel should set the standard for the others to follow! Amazing place, excellent staff, and great service. Couldn't have asked for better!
