From the first email to the last goodbye this was an experience to remember, can t wait to visit again.
True to it s unique location on Gramercy Park, the concept is thought of and felt throughout the entire hotel. Dim lighting, a rich and deep color pallet + fine details made me feel like I stepped back in time without giving up any of today s modern amenities. The fusion of classic and contemporary is perfect.
Everyone from reception and concierge to housekeeping was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make my stay perfect. Even my search for a more equipped gym was addressed by granting me complimentary access to the nearest Equinox. Thanks for a super great stay, keep up the good work !
This hotel was a very odd experience. The lobby is tiny, hard to tell you are in in the right place upon walking in. There's no obvious door or walkway. The elevators are oddly tiny and dim. We stayed in the penthouse, which could more appropriately described as a slightly larger then average room with a small sofa. It was amazingly hard to find an outlet in the room. They are obviously going for an old fashioned New York vibe but I didnt find it practical. Overall not a great value.
Nice hotel, plush, rooms cozy and well appointed. Downstairs is a bit confusing with check-in desk way in back around corner, bar and lounge to right, and connected restaurant trying a bit too hard, but great location.
Lovely rooftop with great food. The additional spaces downstairs are interesting, with some great spots to meet casually with friends and relax with drinks. The restrooms are oddly huge too!
Beautiful location lots of stores to go shopping I was in room 523 great service I will stay here again
Loved the room and decor. Great staff, excellent dining. Highly recommended
Dark and hot. Needs a groupon. And a deep cleaning. Location is great.
Ate at maialino, it was not my first time there, but the waitress was really off putting. When asking for drink orders she would take one request and then not ask anyone else if they needed anything before running off. A few times we had to call her back to save a few trips. She also looked very disinterested the entire time. Was not a great experience, especially from a Danny Meyer restaurant
Super posh hotel with an awesome bar. Rose Bar is is a must goto venue for booze and entertainment. 12/10 would Rose Bar and chill.
Didn't stay here but visited a room my friend was staying in and was very impressed by the decor, layout and styling of the rooms, and the restaurant downstairs (Maialino's).
One of the finest hotels in downtown NYC. There are three stunning bar venues on property: Jade Bar, Rose Bar & the rooftop terrace. Rooms are not large, but they are chic. This hotel oozes cool. You might even run into your favorite celeb in the bar or lobby.
Wonderful location in one of the most quaint neighborhoods in all of NYC!
Fantastic food but need more staff in the Italian restaurant on the corner.
This place is awesome. Ive never stayed here but heard wonderful things. Ive been to both the Rose bar on the ground floor and the rooftop bar in the summer and both are worth the visit. This time i was visiting to pick up my VIP tickets for Armory art fair. Wish i'd had time to hang around a bit longer.
The burrata was excellent. The pastas were good. The wine selection is amazing.
Wonderful terrace and top rate staff. A bit pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.
Very pretty atmosphere. Decorated nicely for the holidays. Food was very good for the event we attended.
One of the best charming, character hotel blending into the spirit of Gramercy Park.
A hotel that exudes the good old atmosphere of New York. If you stay, you can borrow the key of Gramercy Park.
We ate at the on site restaurant, Maialino, and the food was excellent as well as the service. We spent a long time chatting with friends and we never felt rushed. The workers are very nice. It is one of our favorites.
our family loves coming here! great food great people!
thanks jenn!!!!
Love the vibe of this 20's artfully appointed hotel...lots of Warhol, Basquiat, and Keith Haring originals!
Very nice hotel that's unique and also an SPG property.
Perfect location. Very unique spots with a beautiful mix of colors and styles. Very chic.
Just a fancy hotel. Nothing special but the drinks at the bar.
Ate at Maialino and drank at the bar/hung out in the lobby. Both very good experiences, albeit with small hiccups. Dinner was overall incredible. Drinks and food consistently very good in a nice setting. However, one dish was bland and overcooked and the service sometimes bumped into each other or failed to communicate. E.g., I want to keep my red wine glass and one server understands that but a few minutes later the other takes it away.
Small stuff, obviously, but for this price level and hype in Manhattan you should reach closer to perfection to earn 5 stars.
Love this hotel. The front office team made my engagement a truly special occasion. They went above and beyond to surprise us. The room was incredible, such a nice way to follow up a once in a lifetime moment in Gramercy Park!
Didn't stay as a guest but had a wonderful and memorable experience.
A few years ago I stayed in this fantastic hotel, with rooms reminiscent of Europe with vintage or Art Deco decoration, a somewhat strange mix of furniture, colors and paintings that is still very beautiful. Peeerrooo ... From the hotel, sometimes, and only with a certain exclusive attention can you enter a garden.
Gramercy Park, the most secret and exclusive garden in New York that has recently been exposed on Google Maps due to an unwanted computer leak.
This beautiful private garden was built in 1831 for the enjoyment of the privileged few. For a moment I believed that I am the most important person in the world ....
Wanted to go to Rose bar but they had a $1000 minimum for 4 people, which we didn't appreciate. Other than that the hotel bar was okay
First, I barely review anything because there is a possibility that my activities can be surveilled and tracked.
I can agree with the reviewers who gave the bar 1 star (please google Rose bar that is in this establishment). I would like to say the Gramercy Park Hotel doesn't protect their patrons from racist and homophobic activities. They don't even know how to apologize to their patrons who were harassed by ill mannered patrons and guest. I understand they cannot control all people's behaviors, but if the hotel and their bar's primary concern is the safety of those who enter the building, their bouncers should be trained to remove violent individuals and their staff should be trained to appropriately address these incidents after the fact, rather than dismissing them. (They ignored me and connected me to 911 when I call them.)
My experience is their establishment does in fact tolerate and accept homophobic and racist behavior. Bouncers did not remove the violent patrons and two of your staff members dismissed our complaints after the fact.
Our favorite hotel in one of our favorite Manhattan locations: Gramercy Park. The restaurant, the Rose Bar, and the other hotel facilities are wonderful. When you stay there, ask for the key to the very private Gramercy Park which is just across the street. The park offers a private oasis with plants, squirrels, and birds. Great location for taking pictures.
Old feel and courteous service. Not the best in hot weather, depending on what floor you are on.
Was invited to a holiday party... Just a GREAT experience! Friendly, fun, food stations on point! And who was the deejay?! He was really Really REALLY GOOD!!!
Pretty fancy, but the service is dynamite and the place is gorgeous.
Had brunch at the restaurant. Possibly the best brunch in the city, food was imaginative and delicious. The space, including the lobby and common areas of the hotel, were quirky and gorgeous.
I mean its beautiful inside. Too beautiful? I didn't feel completely comfortable and I think that it is possible to be in a fancy place and still feel being yourself is okay.
Fun design hotel in a beautiful old building with access to the private gramercy park, modern art works and a rooftop.
The gym is very small other than that fantastic place for a hedonistic ny stay
Great hotel with fantastic bar! For design lovers...
old, cramped, dark, and way overpriced.
Infrastructure: The room was freezing at night because the hotel had decided to shut down it's steam-based heating system for the summer. Additionally, the water temperature in the shower spontaneously changes. This hotel seriously needs to upgrade its infrastructure. It seems to be stuck with technology from the early 1900s.
The restaurant serves excellent food with even more excellent service.
Beautiful location with a fabulous restaurant on-site! Perfect for brunch and dinner. Staff is incredibly accommodating. You'll really feel like your in a place where you can relax.
A dim but stylish atmosphere. But what impressed me most was the smell of SANTAL in the hallways and lobby. One of the nicest hotels in New York that is amazing as a sight but memorable for the smell @wondersiung
Lots of style and the perfect location. But, the service could be better.
We stayed there for a week in 2019. We enjoyed our room, the service. A hotel that we already knew for short business stays and which continues to be very pleasant. Prime location.
The staff was hospitable and they were friendly. They were nice enough to have people avoid the rain when it started pouring. The drinks were priced normally for New York.
Been to their Rose Bar many times, which is fun. However, the one time I stayed at the pricey hotel, I was denied entry!
This hotel has gone down the hill after Ian left. The staff here is ridiculous and was very snippy towards my friends and I.
