Beautiful cathedral... peaceful and good architecture to enjoy!
A place majestic and quietly wrapped. A large, finely made stained glass is worth seeing. Everything was beautiful. Let's join us by donate $ 10.
It is a beautiful place with very fascinating architecture. Great place to take photos.
While in San Francisco for a meeting, my family and I took the car tour following the numbered signs. What a treat! On Sunday we attended worship together at Grace Cathedral on Nob Hill. We participated in Holy Communion which has an indelible on our lives.
Very beautiful and imposing, the stained glass windows are beautiful, and it is a must to watch the religious ceremony, because the touch of the organs is stunning
Beautiful 20th century gothic concrete and steel cathedral
An amazing church built in the 60s of the 20th century: unusual images on the stained glass windows, ministers of diverse sexual orientation. For example, on one of the upper stained glass windows the formula e = mc2
Majestic! Beautiful place to visit while in San Francisco.
went to school here 10/10 would enrage mr mundy again
It's a great building. Resembles a gothic cathedral (copy of Notre Dame in Paris) in all senses except that it was built in the 20th century. The calmness, the atmosphere, the acoustics, the lighting... They all contribute to the feeling of being in a piece of heaven on Earth, although it's built in concrete on stone (that also means it's a great safe place for whenever the great earthquake comes).
And being from the 20th century it has adapted perfectly to our current society's necessities and customs, hosting a variety of social events throughout the week outside of their service hours.
Definitely worth the visit. No excuse if you're a resident, and if visiting the Bay area, try to make some space in your schedule. Still haven't seen the boys choir perform, but saw them practicing one day and that's another great reason to visit, but check for the times when they perform.
One of the most beautiful cathedrals I have ever visited. Full of details, with a very spiritual atmosphere. It is in front of Huntington Park in Nob Hill. To get there you can take the cable car from California More
Such a beautiful building. Come in to walk the indoor labrinyth, catch a sermon, or light a candle for a loved one. Outside, revel in the architecture and awe.
This is the coolest church I've ever been to. The priests/clergy are really inclusive of the entire SF community, and try to make the cathedral a gathering place for all. I love attending Yoga on the Labyrinth on Tuesday afternoons - it's donation based yoga, in a cathedral, with live music. AWESOME!
When I lived in the Bay area in the 80s I attended this church with my family.
This is a must do place even if you are not religious. Beautiful building and decorations, peaceful place.
Worth the walk. Enjoyed the labyrinth and the gorgeous stained glass windows.
People are not crowded, so you can feel the quiet atmosphere. Especially when the light comes in, the stained glass shines on the floor is beautiful.
Best choir in SF. Evensong on Thursday should not be missed.
An amazing, spiritual place. Amazing architecture and staind glass windows throughout the building. Beautiful works of religious art, a must drop in to visit and take in the beautiful architecture.
Beautiful neo-Gothic cathedral with attached outdoor area.
Amazing. Juz like the one in Paris.
Spent 2 hrs here. Peaceful.
Gorgeous and peaceful place. The interiors are beautiful and the music is very relaxing
Full of great art works and architectural excellence. The Ghiberti Doors is one of the main attractions. There is a 90 min guided tour on select days if you wish to know more about the cathedral and it's history.
A beautiful Gothic Cathedral to remind ourselves of God presence everywhere.
Very spectacular a must see on this side of the city
A suigeneris church, houses 8 religions of the world, although with a Catholic format
A fairly recent addition to frisco, competed in the early 60s, this Episcopal church is the third largest in the USA. Regular Sunday services are held, and the impressive organ booms throughout. No photographs - please be respectful of the services.
Haven't been inside. Looks impressive from outside.
Place to worship Good cathedral to visit while on vacation or touring San Francisco's
Very unusual for Europeans to pay to enter the church with a credit card, but probably so common there. No need, so we could go inside. A beautiful place for believers. For us unfortunately only the only place where you could go to quiet places.
We always stop and go through beautiful houses of worship, and this will not disappoint. Impressed with the details and layout in the center of San Francisco.
Lovely sacred space, inside and out. Diverse spiritual services. Colorful and vibrant stained glass with detailed designs. Meditation Labyrinth inside and out in courtyard. Amazing gothic style architecture. A "must see" in San Francisco.
Beautiful cathedral! But was very turned off by the man cutting across the main part thru people praying bluntly telling everyone "church is closed, please leave" on a Saturday afternoon
The acoustics here were amazing. So grateful I got to sing here. The cathedral is beautiful and awe inspiring inside and out.
A peculiar building, but my attention is drawn to yoga classes inside
Beautiful and spectacular Victorian architectural style cathedral!Every 2nd Friday of the month they host a candlelight labyrinth walkaccompanied by live music. Awakening the spirit
It is a beautiful cathedral which is open to different religions. It tells different stories through the visit. In frony ofnthe cathedral, there is also a park. You can easily go the cathedral by using the public transport (cable tram)
A Beautiful church, full of ancient stories on the wall, and a huge one that lies in the middle of the town. The mass setting is well organized and beautified by angelic voiced choir. Illumination in thr beginning of mass could have been lit more up to let us read well. People are helpful here.
Didn't have time to go in, but this is a massive church in the center of town. Great views from all sides given the proximity to the hills
We had the pleasure of watching Choir of Men and Boys at Grace Cathedral during Christmas and it was magical.
Beautiful architecture and one of my favorite places to walk to in San Francisco. Amazing views of the bay in the neighborhood around the church.
OMGoodness . . . A wonderful place to contemplate and to learn from the humanity that disrupted so much humanity to settle here.
She looks a lot like our lady in Paris, just beautiful! !
absolutely stunning building. Being inside you feel like you've stepped into a cathedral in Italy. Great place for some photography
Beautiful place. Really refreshing to see a cathedral as modernized and image conscious as this one.
This is a church with history and you feel it inside. The building is monolithic and beautiful, especially in the morning and in the afternoon when the sun flows through the stained glass.
The Espiscopal Cathedral on Nob Hill, the current structure is from 1964. Curiosity: the entrance has a copy of the Porta del Paradiso by Ghiberti, the original is in the Baptistery of Florence
This cathedral is stunning! Wonderful energy inside, gorgeous stained glass and calming music. It's worth the visit so don't miss it.
This cathedral looks very beautiful! If a visit to this cathedral fits in with the schedule, I would definitely visit him!
Attended the 11 a.m. service and was richly blessed. Had coffee and fellowship after the service. Peace from Chattanooga Tennessee.
This doesn't look great from outside if you happen to live near some of Europe's biggest and oldest cathedrals. In fact, even without comparing, it's ... well, grey.
Inside is more interesting and worth a look while you're in the neighbourhood.
Beautiful church. So solemn and very inviting to pray. I hope more people would visit this church as it looks more of like a museum rather than a house for prayer.
