Nice replica of Notre Dame, but located as everything in San Francisco at the top of a hill. Modern inside, with beautiful stained glass windows and a chapel dedicated to HIV sufferers, which is an excellent gesture.

It is quite impressive building. It is a bit slippery but it is a short walking distance from downtown. Inside is very wide and stained glass is beautiful. There is also a work by Keith Haring at the AIDS memorial church in the hotel. I can donate easily not only with cash but also with cards, so I donated.

High quality art and stained glass. The side murals tell the story of San Francisco. So refined and no excess. My favorites were the World Faith Altar, Cosmic Window and Stained glass of Albert Einstein. Very sweet little priest showing people around and answering questions as a docent. The Architecture is neck and neck with European Gothic cathedrals like that of Cologne and Paris.

European-style San Francisco Cathedral with a large wooden point crowning it, reminiscent of the wonderful Notre-Dame.
The central nave goes from end to end of the building, the right and left naves do not reach the end but have stained glass windows in the magnificent windows.
A beautiful organ crowns the upper part of the central pavilion and above the entrance a rose created with stained glass offers great light to the enclosure.
There we can find a manger with the child Jesus and the Magi worshiping him.
Grace church erected in 1860. Wm. Patton Architect. Geo D. Nagle Contractor.
It's worth getting in if you're in the area.

Graceful architecture & very beautiful structure! It took about 54 years to restore (1910-1964) this beautiful place and one can see why! The symmetry of the arches and the glass work on the windows is one of the best I've seen so far. A must see place while in SF. The entrance door has some story to tell. The wooden carvings in the main hall inside is simply outstanding. We couldn't spend time here as it was late but will visit again around day time to admire it more.

Took my kids here and we walked the labyrinth. It was a novel experience for us. We also viewed the "Graced with Light" ribbon project where nearly 20 miles of blue and red ribbons were installed in the air. This Ribbon Project can be seen through December 2013. We admired the beautiful stained glass windows and murals and even got to hear the organ being played while we were there.

Grace Cathedral is exceptionally beautiful. Even more beautiful than the architecture is the Grace Cathedral ENERGY that everyone puts forth, it's really incredible. Reverend Nina is the best! One time working a pre Thanksgiving lunch event Reverend Nina watched us working so hard that towards the end she ordered all of us to stop working, get a plate of food, sit down and eat. You gotta' love it! All the people I have dealt with at GC are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. They accept anyone and everyone.
The Grace energy is truely inspiring.
