I have attended a meeting related to Criminal Justice and Faith Based Organizations. Such an incredible architecture
A beautiful landmark in San Francisco. The ornamentation of the entrance door is extraordinary. The history of the acquisition of this remarkable work is very interesting.
SF standby. American answer to the European cathedral. Pretty interesting to walk around in. Yoga on Tuesday nights for those who are interested! Highly recommend the maze out front!
got woken up for sleeping. enjoyed the knitting classes that they offer and was about to make a scarf for some other disadvantaged adults and I like the yoga classes that they have it makes me relax. enjoyed walking the labyrinth
2 of my friends passed away and we had a mass there. The lady priest was excellent. I'm not really big on going to church too often but she gave the service in a way that I can't explain I actually understood it she's great
It is a must do the meditative walk in the Labyrinth, inside Igrega. Right at the entrance. Fantastic!
Beautiful location for an excellent concert. Very enjoyable and able to see the Christmas tree covered in origami cranes.
Beautiful church in a beautiful square at the top of san francisco
Warm compassionate congregation... Great Dean... excellent homilies... beautiful music. The building is beautiful..Plus 2 labyrinths for contemplation.... An Episcopal Cathedral that welcomes all
It is a cathedral with a stately style not seen in Japan.
It is also a sightseeing spot, but it is not good to make a noise because many godly Christians have come to pray.
Really cool place to visit. Would recommend if you are in the area.
The shows they run here are really cool! I saw a great organ show. The place is also very pretty
Great windows! Basically, very beautiful cathedral, but does not reach many others.
Cathedral is beautiful however some of the staff is extremeley rude. I visited it today and a very rude staff memeber (at 3:59pm) began yelling and kicking people out saying he wants to go home...he even bumped into me as i was on my way out
Walk the labyrinth, and look at the stained glass windows.
An impressive place both for the building and for the works of contemporary art inside
Not religious, but I can appreciate cool architecture when I see it. I went for Christmas mass and it was beautiful.
i love Huntington park across the grace cathedral its very friendly
Beautiful stained glass and paintings inside as well as really great message of inclusiveness and welcome. I also enjoy relaxing by walking around the labyrinth outside, though I rarely have the patience to do the whole thing.
If you enjoy art and are looking for a fun and relaxing exhibit, I highly recommend the "Graced with Light" ribbon project that is at Grace Cathedral until the end of February 2014. Over 20 miles of vibrantly colored ribbons are extended from the high ceilings of the church. In contrast with the stained glass windows, the ribbons make for an engaging visual experience and stunning photos. I don't know if this is true, but another visitor mentioned that a hope or prayer is supposedly written at the top of each ribbon.
If you walk around the church, there are various tapestries, murals, and wooden carving pieces to enjoy. The exterior architecture of the church is also gorgeous, especially the gold "Ghirbeti" doors that are a replica of the Florence Baptistry. There is a suggested donation of $10 per person but it is not mandatory. You can donate upon entering or leaving the building.
This should be suitable for all ages but children might only be enthralled by the display for a couple of minutes. I observed some kids (and adults too) entertaining themselves by walking around the labyrinth maze while their parents admired the art. I've been here once many years ago for an Al Stewart concert and I vividly remember the fun I had running around the labyrinth maze as a child.
This Church is not made for God but for the people. They adopted the secular culture. I know they are trying to do good but they are harming the reputation of Jesus Christ.
Take the tour! Beautiful stained glass, walk the labyrinth, enjoy the grandeur.
Is this the church where they filmed Bullitt starring Steve McQueen back in 1967?
Beautiful Cathedral that is open to the public. Music in the background every now and then, hearing the bells every hour, and sometimes even people doing interpretive dance in the Labyrinth's.
Excellent building and architectural design, spacious and invites reflection and prayer, nestled in the center adjacent to several hotels, well worth a visit
First visit. I went for a friends memorial service in a side chapel. What an amazing building. It should be in the top ten things to do when in SF. Stunning windows and stonework on the interior. Stunning. Feels like you are in Europe. A must see for everyone.
Amazing architecture. Great place to meditate and whisper a prayer.
WOW, breathtaking Cathedral. Worth stepping inside to see.
This place is soooo beautiful. The first time I saw it, at the ripe age of thirteen, I wanted to get married there. Marriage isn t what I thought it was when I was a teenager. Anyway, I probably won t be getting married any time soon, but this place is really beautiful.
It is a Gothic cathedral with a very elegant atmosphere.
An invitation letter in Korean is provided,
It's fun to look for each one of them.
The content is more diverse than I thought.
ex) UN Memorial, Keith Haring, stained glass sent from Sartre Cathedral
An amazing architectual work, worth visiting. An spiritual sense inside.
Absolutely beautiful if you admire architecture. A must see! They do drop in yoga classes I believe on Tuesday nights, the cost just being a donation.
Beautiful church! They just don't make them like that anymore.
Very beautiful Gothic cathedral that really looks like a European Gothic cathedral, though it has apparently been made out of concrete rather than stones to withstand earthquakes.
The inside is quite astonishing as well. Indeed, it is full of interesting paintings.
Beautiful building, the music for the Sunday services is amazing. The clergy are friendly and inviting.
Beautiful inside, it was such a pleasure seeing this Cathedral.
Fantastic stained glass windows depicting religious events, and not only, of particular interest. Also nice is the labyrinth traced on the ground, both inside and outside the church, a source of inspiration for meditation ...!
Stunningly beautiful cathedral. Real sense of peace and reverence. The tree is astounding. Give the labyrinth a walk and find a bit of meditative space. Highly recommend.

A very big dome but I don't see a great architecture as expected but totally worth visit.
Beautiful cathedral across from Huntington Park. A variety of services and activities happen in the evenings such as yoga etc.
I ve never been here for church services or anything but I have been here for 1) yoga in the labyrinth, which is a beautiful wonderful magical experience usually led by Darren Main and Rev Jude 2) wandering around peacefully with my mom checking out the stained glass and sitting in the gardens in the square across the street 3) I ve gone by myself to stand under this wonderful art piece they had hanging up called Jacobs Ladder which fascinated me and was pretty enchanting. This place is one of my San Francisco Comfort places and is a great place for a peaceful reprieve or reenergizing.
Didn't go inside however I am a member and have been inside this iconic Church many times over the years
There really are no words to describe the splendor of this icon. You are instantly humbled by just the grand scope of this church as well as the obvious attention to detail the craftsmen had in construction. This is one of those places that really contributes to the vibe of the city.
Very beautiful cathedral and decorated beautifully. Its restoration took many years but it was perfect. It has beautiful stained glass windows. Very cute. I recommend visiting and knowing her.
Brother in law got married here. Amazing architecture and history here. The staff was very nice. Parking, on the other hand, is horrendous.
Very beautiful church beautiful vitro on the sides worth the visit
Nice building, cover, stained glass, labyrinth ... free entry
