Depending on where you're staying (I'm assuming you're walking here from downhill) it's a nice workout to get up to the Cathedral. Very nice grounds, places to sit and contemplate. Don't expect solitary meditation time & the labarynth was less than we thought. Still good views and a peaceful atmosphere.

Beautiful Cathedral open to the public and a classic labyrinth to walk and slow down on your visit. Directly across from a park and fountain on the top of the hill. This is a beautiful, peaceful place to visit and take in the day.

Grace Cathedral is another gem in San Francisco is located on Nob Hill and is breathtaking. When we visited this magnificent Cathedral, it was undergoing some renovations, but what we seen was enough to make us want to come back. While limited we were able to take a few worthwhile pictures to share. We wanted to enjoy the labyrinths but ran out of time and can not wait to return to explore and enjoy their meditative quality's. Make sure you allow enough time to take in all of this magnificent church.

Advent service was amazing. Choir were fantastic. Hats off to Director of Music and the whole choir. We attended the service as visitors from Bangor Abbey in Northern Ireland where we sing in the choir and were blown away. Beautiful building too.

Really interesting architecture. They do free tours of the cathedral. The person that did ours was very knowledgeable and he had lot of super cool facts to share. The doors of the cathedral are a cast of the doors from the duomo in Florence.

Very few places in America can recall the beauty and grace of a gothic European cathedral. This is one of those places. Whether you come here to be engaged in intense prayer like some, or just to marvel at the intense beauty this place is a must for anyone in San Francisco.

The cathedral was spectacular and the labrinth was fun to walk. The ladder art was interesting especially when viewed at the alter area. The stained glass was exceptional and the classic ceiling height opened you up the spiritual possibilities. You will enjoy the experience.

One of must visit place in San Fran. Located north west from Union square, 30 min walk up the hill. This is a beautiful cathedral. Went Saturday when there s live piano playing. Very peaceful.
Designed in French Gothic style by Lewis P. Hobart, it was completed in 1964 as the third largest Episcopal cathedral in the nation. On March 28, 1965, Martin Luther King, Jr. gave a sermon at Grace Cathedral as part of the festival celebrating its completion and consecration.

There are two large "music" light hanging on either side - it lighten up while music is playing. really beautiful.

Grace Cathedral is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. They offer free yoga to the community on Tuesdays at 6 PM. The ambiance is absolutely incredible - live music, beautiful stained glass and art, and assistants that come around to do hands on adjustments. It was such a welcoming group amazing experience.

Attended Sunday service with baptisms, it was a beautiful experience. Any Episcopalian visiting SF should take time to visit Grace and attend a service, walk one or both of the labyrinths, just be in this sacred space.

Gorgeous Church on Nob Hill. It reminded me of Notre Dame in Paris and later I found out they both belonged to the same French Gothic style. It s Ghiberti doors are exquisite - replicas of the doors of the Florence Baptistery
