With a rotating menu of traditional beers, craft beers, wines, and ciders gourmet Haus stadt is likely to have something for everyone. They also serve some classic German dishes if you're feeling hungry. Seating is a mix of ribs tables and long communal style tables. Not too mention the store that has a bunch of German themed gifts and food, along with bottled beer. Great place to grab a beer.

Great beers (during beer week), excellent food, great service. I'd cone back here, especially during the summer for the small outside space. Big fan of the copper bar top.

Love the German grocery store that's connected.

Great beer and bier selections. I had a Hefe Dunkel yesterday which was really good. Fairly authentic German food, nothing spectacular but solid and satisfying. Good beer hall feel. Nice covered patio.

The vibe of this beer garden sent me back to my time living in Germany Super laid back and chill, awesome menu of beers, and yummy food. Outside area is great to catch some rays or if you have a doggy.

Great little German bar tucked behind a German convenience store in Redwood City. Tons of beers on tap paired with classic German grub. Come hungry (and with friends) because the portions are gigantic. There is also a little Silicon Valley history rooted in Gourmet Haus (hint hint... Apple).

Really enjoyed my leisurely visit on a Sunday afternoon. A huge selection is not only local craft beers but also German beers. The curry wurst set was perfect but we also ordered a side of their delicious warm sauerkraut and baked Camembert cheese and toasted rye bread. Will be back for SF Beer Week! Chris is awesome.

Gourmet Haus Staudt is a small German store attached to a beer garden. The store is run by nice, friendly people. Unfortunately, the selection of products was rather limited though hit most of the common themes for German products (a large selection of chocolates, sauces, and sauerkraut, as well as a decent number of beers in the back). Be aware that the beer garden is not always open, so if you're looking just to browse in a quiet shop, that would be the best time to go!

It was a full house when we stopped by but still were met with great service from the staff. They offer great selection of beers as well as hearty German dishes that make an excellent pairing with their drinks.

Lots of good beer options. Food is tasty, and comes out pretty quick, even when it's busy. During busy times it can take a little while to get your order in, but once you do, things move quickly.

We wanted to go there the other day but couldn t find a parking space. There s a big, open lot behind the store but they told us we couldn t park there. They want five bucks to park in the Caltrain lot, so we decided to just blow it off. This was disappointing since we drove up from Santa Cruz County.

This is a bar that also serves food. Sometimes they have game night where you cannot order dinner. Best call ahead if you want to dine.

The entrance is in the back at the parking lot.

Got all of their sausages a la carte. Very good.

Food was decent German food but the service was rediculos. Really I don't think they want the food business as it's an after thought to serving beers. Two different families were ignored out right as they were not the priority. I was drinking and eating big Bill.. ignored. Not sure I would go back as there are many other options near by which are better.

First time at this awesome beer house and we loved it! The beers are good and the pretzel is a MUST. We enjoyed our dinner on an outdoor picnic table. The garlic sausage is sooo good! Staff was super friendly! We'll be back!

It's not a grocery store, it's a beer hall. Food till 8pm, hearty plates, not much selection. BIG PRETZELS. Great beer selection. Everything you could want. Only problem: big tech scene, so you can't have a discussion about tech without everyone knowing your business.

I wish this was my local bar. They ve got a set of classic German taps, and a set of nerdy American taps, plus a great menu, lots of coziness, and a store up front with an irresponsibly good beer selection and loads of German treats.

Truly a special treat located in Redwood City. This has been family run since the early 70s. If you want to learn about beer and Ales , barleywines ,Stouts and sours this is the place to go.
Keep in mind this is a beer garden it gets loud they have outdoor seating and a small menu. The parking is atrocious as everywhere in Redwood City and it gets crowded in the evenings. Recently they've been having beer tastings on Saturday. I believe this is temporary, but if you get a chance check it out

Amazing beer and pretty good food. The outside tables are spaced out so you can enjoy time with your companies. I actually like the place a lot more after Covid. Before covid, I gave it a try but the placr was very crowded and you can barely hear anything. One plus point is the bathroom was spot clean.

They don't have physical menu anymore, and you have to look it up on the web via a QR code so if you have an Android install a QR reader app before hand.
