This place was run down and you can't even enter the buildings. This place was racist, for example a Indian security guard told us, a Chinese family, we weren't allowed to ride the bikes, and then he let some white people ride bikes. They weren't even employees! Do not go here.

Great Place to work reviewers have said. But do you actually do any work? When something really serious arises like Google breaching a country's laws, everyone hides behind their keyboards. Come on, be brave, be proper businesspeople and be dignified!

Google Headquarters in Mountain View, known as Googleplex, has long been considered the best technology campus. But in other cities, Google s offices look very cool.
Google managed to create some of the most creative, stylish and unusual offices in the world of technology - from the company s representative office in Ontario, where you can find a secret room, to a branch in Zurich with a personal basketball court.
Google employees are known to receive many fantastic privileges - for example, they are provided with massage services, free delicacies and the opportunity to visit luxurious parties and trips. The place where Google employees work is also, of course, a nice bonus.

Can you believe Google allows anyone to write a bad review against you and your business.
That means you could put your whole life of hard work and lots of money into your business and lose your investment at no fault of yours at all. All it takes is some one who doesn't like you, or wants to make trouble and to really hurt you. Google will be sued by our corporation soon . This must stop.

Great experience and good to know that such world changing products are evolved here.
The ship is not fully developed and surprised to know that Pixel mobiles are not available here.
Used the Google yellow bikes for a quick ride but later found out that these are for Googlers only!

Too much to see and do in the limited time we had here. It is definitely a fun and creative campus that brings out the child in you and encourages conversation and social interactions. It is huge so be prepared to do some walking and save batteries for all the photo ops! The staff canteen has such good food and the line moves fast. The souvenir shop has great stationary which is good as gifts. The staff toilets (female one) was stocked with sanitary goods. People are treated well here!

It kind of feels like a college campus here. I think every office should copy Google's model and provide complimentary meals to their employees. The environment here seems really positive and trendy. I always enjoy my visits to Google's headquarters.

This article is about the headquarters of Google. For the large number, see Googolplex.

Built July 2004; 15 years ago
Location Mountain View, California, U.S.

Address 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway
Mountain View, CA 94043
The Googleplex is the corporate headquarters complex of Google and its parent company Alphabet Inc. It is located at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway in Mountain View, California, United States.

The original complex, with 2,000,000 square feet (190,000 m2) of office space, is the company's second largest square footage assemblage of Google buildings, after Google's 111 Eighth Avenue building in New York City, which the company bought in 2010.

"Googleplex" is a portmanteau of Google and complex (meaning a complex of buildings) and a reference to googolplex, the name given to the large number 10(10100), or 10googol.

The original campus
SGI Campus
The site was previously occupied by Silicon Graphics (SGI). The office space and corporate campus is located within a larger 26-acre (110,000 m2) site that contains Charleston Park, a 5-acre (20,000 m2) public park; improved access to Permanente Creek; and public roads that connect the corporate site to Shoreline Park and the Bay Trail. The project, launched in 1994 was built on the site of one of the few working farms in the area and was city owned at the time (identified as "Farmer's Field" in the planning documents).[1][2] It was a creative collaboration between SGI, STUDIOS Architecture, SWA Group, and the Planning and Community Development Agency of the City of Mountain View.[citation needed] The objective was to develop in complementary fashion the privately owned corporate headquarters and adjoining public greenspace. Key design decisions placed parking for nearly 2000 cars underground, enabling SWA to integrate the two open spaces with water features, shallow pools, fountains, pathways, and plazas. The project was completed in 1997. The ASLA noted that the SGI project was a significant departure from typical corporate campuses, challenging conventional thinking about private and public space and awarded the project the ASLA Centennial Medallion in 1999.[3]

STUDIOS Architecture was the architect for the original SGI campus and provided both interior architecture and base building design.

Google campus
The former SGI facilities were leased by Google beginning in 2003.[4] A redesign of the interiors was completed by Clive Wilkinson Architects in 2005. In June 2006, Google purchased some of Silicon Graphics' properties, including the Googleplex, for $319 million.[5][6]

Personally , I find Google reviews to have been the most helpful & accurate of any found on the web ! The NY Times has recently run an article called "Why You Can t Really Trust Negative Online Reviews" ! It basically states , "The credibility of all reviews , even real ones is questionable" . Oh really ! it goes on further to state "the tiny subset of people who leave them aren t what you would consider to be the average person" !! Where did this data come from? Who ran the survey? Do they have an ulterior motive for having the result go one way? How was the data collected? What questions were asked? How did they ask them? Demographically, what group(s) of people were sought out? Look, you don't have to be " a genius" , "a Harvard grad" or even a "Tinkerer" to gain an understanding of how things work or to have an informed opinion !! Google reviews are a great source & resource of "very handy" info! Please use caution folks, if you have read the article that I mentioned, or one similar , do not view it as authoritative simply because it was featured in a major news publication ! Be aware of numbers taken out of context , in which the analysis only concentrates on such data that supports a perceived foregone conclusion and ignores everything else. Google reviews are "spot on " and quite reliable !!

I love the campus I was born and raised in the Silicon valley I grew up in Mountain view and Sunnyvale the art on campus is amazing and I can only imagine the things Google is doing see Google is not a company made up of separate people but Google is simply one entity and this entity has a beautiful building called Google Plex it has the same feeling as a sports complex or amusement park

Joke - no sales capability or customer service whe...

Joke - no sales capability or customer service when it comes to PIxel phones, yet wants to play and says it's otherwise e.g. argumentative phone staff (recorded calls) re: invitation that was no good in 2hrs. vs. One Plus and Tesla who can get it right by comparison and are startups with far less infrastructure, and no Google supervisors were reportedly available per same staff when requested, culminating in transferred call to outside support with Synchrony having no ability to hear on other end, despite long call with aforementioned staff wherein suggested would just go to an Apple store and walk out with 2 new iPhone 7 devices on the Apple iPhone upgrade program. Sadly, in light of no stock, coupled with 5-6 weeks delay to get even the most limited and last options e.g. 32GB silver Pixel (5"), Google will lose again to Apple by billions and billions and billions of dollars, in spite of having 10 YEARS to figure out how to build and sell phones, which is why Apple has $250 BILLION ($1/4 *TRILLION*) in cash vs. Google having $75 billion (less than 1/3rd the amount) even though it is Google who is the de-facto ruler in all things search plus cloud computing plus sitting on the largest # of cell phones globally, noting the agent didn't care Apple makes 90% of all profit in the cell phone industry. Pathetic. C'mon now Google, either be in the phone business and learn how to sell phones (hint, take every order) plus care about customers (hint, don't argue), or leave it to the pros like Apple and Samsung (whose devices are readily available, and, minus the Note 7, are practically bulletproof e.g. water resistant to 10 feet for 30 minutes, plus have wireless charging, Samsung Pay to use practically anywhere, etc.) i.e. maybe go partner with Samsung and open some stores (200+, hint hint) like Apple has done, so you can't hide behind phones. Abysmal service.

I recently opened the business I had a weird phone call from a gentleman saying that I was going to be placed on the first page of Google I asked them how long it would take and he said probably about 20 minutes I asked him if he can call me after 6 p.m. he said no I am a very busy person that works 10 hours a day I don't have any breaks I am working all the time so the guy was sarcastic and said you don't work all the time you must have some time to answer my questions and I told him he was rude and hung up on him because he didn't respect my work and he's calling me in the middle of the day when I am working I don't just sit in an office and make websites I stand all day and then when I hung up he called me back and he told me that I was rude and then he hung up on me doing business with Google is not the best idea you're better off with Yelp Google employee is wrong for being rude to me and I will report it to the corporate office I am very disappointed because I just opened my business and now I have someone in California calling me and saying I was rude and hanging up on me I guess I am dealing with a child my 12 year old acts better than that person in charge of promoting the businesses of people in the regular world and I also have the conversation recorded so if anybody would like to contact me personally I can send them the conversation over so they can see and hear for themselves how rude employee was

It was super cool to visit, maybe because I'm a huge google fan, but getting to bike around the whole campus, and taking pictures of the android statues. Too bad there isn't a tour of the interior of the campus.
