This is a very good theatre space for the audience. They let people in to the lobby further ahead of curtain than most downtown theaters and there are places to sit. You can get a drink without waiting in a long line. We get a box which is comfortable.
The shows vary from quite good to weird but most are at least different and not just second runs of what was in New York two or more years ago.
Prices with a subscription are cheap for professional theater and the acting is definitely professional.
The stage seems small to me and I don't know how well the players like it.
We're signed up for another season.

Long ago I had season tickets at the Goodman. I loved those plays. I saw James Earl Jones and other great actors. Saw great plays.

I moved away. I recently returned to the Goodman finally. It is nice, staff is very friendly.

Not sure I'd buy season tickets again ... The play was good, etc .... I'd go again to the Goodman, but not with the same enthusiasm. Sigh.

I enjoyed my time at the Goodman. Having Our Say was an amazing production. Those assisting folks with questions were pleasant. Seating wasn't hard to navigate, and online choosing for such functioned really well.

Top quality theater without a doubt. Just saw St. Nicholas with Brendan "Mr. Bates" Coyle. A fine one person play by this very accomplished and recognizable actor. Lived up to its rave reviews.

When Goodman hits, it hits big, like Jungle Book this summer, and makes me forget the less than satisfactory plays. The Albert, for the price, has incredibly lousy seats - basically a huge high school auditorium complete with achy neck crimping. My seats for the '13-'14 season are questionable. I'll see....may be one of my theater subscriptions I switch out for another.

I have been to the Goodman many times before, but this time I got to experience more of what Goodman has to offer play lovers. I saw "How to Catch Creation." A beautfully written & wonderfully acted new play that was thankfully in the main theatre. I have season tickets which are very affordable but they are set for Sunday evenings. Calling member services and getting my tickets exchanged for an earlier time the same day was seamless. I wanted to witness the play but also talk with others and the production team afterwards. The experience of staying afterwards, sharing feelings, thoughts and impressions totally enriched my experience as well as talking with one of the Producers that answered questions and spoke on the dynamics of presenting a new play. I was enthralled and my enthusiasm to see the rest of the season with the talks was fueled. Beautiful space, friendly & accommodating staff, brilliant productions, actors and set designs. Just a lovely and wonderful experience! Support Goodman! :)

The music man was a great performance I really liked it . Great acting and great orchestra however the parents of the kids should not let their sons and daughter sit alone very disruptive during the musical . But over all
It was a nice theatre with great comfortable seats .

I arrived at the theater with tickets i purchased in July. Once there with my 12 week old grand daughter i was informed i would have to purchase a full price ticket for her as well. Nothing is mentioned on the web site that everything breathing must have a ticket. We were all both shocked and appalled. The staff was uncaring and offer no remedy other than you must purchase a ticket for every one! Thanks for ruining a 10 year girls weekend tradition. Neither I nor any of the other members of the party will ever return to the Goodman.

The Goodman always has pretty fantastic shows going on. The theater seating is nice and no matter where you are seated, you have a decent view of the stage. The seating is a little tight (aka not built for laptop bags in front of you). Staff is friendly and they have wine in cups!
