THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL.

THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL.
Anybody that has previously reviewed this hotel and has commended it as a 4 Star hotel is deluded and needs their head testing.
Granted it was clean and pleasant enough, but do not spend your hard earned cash thinking you are going to get the 4 star accommodation that you have paid for.
Firstly, having paid out hundreds of pounds for your 4 star hotel you will find no tea or coffee facilities in your room. These are an extra 3 a day...seriously!!!??? This is penny pinching and tight, really unbelievable.
There were two small complementary water bottles on day one, no other water was provided all week, again really tight for a 4 star hotel.
There was no mini bar in the room.
My bed mattress sheet did not fit the bed and the mattress was exposed at my feet allowing me to share all the previous occupants foot fungus for the week.
The hotel lounge garden was an absolute dump and unusable.
The Hotel bar was as cosy as a dentist's waiting room.
There were only 37 poolside sun loungers between 263 rooms and a potential 520+ guests. A substantial number of the loungers were broken and therefore couldn't be adjusted.
We gave up using the pool and paid the extra to use the facilities at the Westin Dragonara resort next door.
Breakfast was underwhelming, poor quality, stale at times and no better then a school canteen. Coffee machines and drink dispensers were often empty or not working. An absolute waste of money including breakfast. After a few days we ate out for breakfast.
One day the room was not serviced at all leaving us with no toilet roll and on another day it was 4pm by the time the cleaner got to us, we had returned from our day out and were packing for our return home so felt there was no point in letting the cleaner in so were handed clean towels.
Having paid extra for the 'superior room' and a sea view, unfortunately we overlooked an abandoned dilapidated hotel and The Westin Dragonara Resort, wishing we had paid the extra to stay there.
Either go 3 star and get what you've paid for or put your hand in your pocket for a 5 star. Seriously don't waste your money thinking this is a 4 star hotel.

Elegant hotel! Excellent value for money! I recommend it, if you are looking for a higher level hotel it is the right place! Above all, enjoy the bar and outdoor swimming pool on the top floor

Negative: It is an old hotel and it has some issues. What bothered me the most were the noise in the room because the balcony door does not close properly and the sink being very small. Pro: diversified breakfast, swimming pool, fitness centre, Turkish bath, friendly staff, bus station(public transportation&hop on hop off) near the hotel. Amazing view from the top floor where there is also an outdoor swimming pool.

Hotel has a very good location. We had a room with sea view located on 6th floor. Gym is well equipped. Breakfasts are good as well. Hop on hop off bus location is located 20 meters from hotel. Main bus route to Valletta/sliema is 4 minutes walk. If you stay longer I recommend buying travel card at the airport for buses

We stayed for 3 weeks in August and were disappointed upon arrival the room we were given. The view from the balcony was the flats next door and seeing everyone carry on with their personal business, so we asked for another room. We paid an extra for the upgrade and the room was a lot better, we had a view of the casino and the water, it was delightful. Chrisabell was delightful and very helpful, she is truly an asset to the hotel.

We accepted this room as there was no other. The room however had issues 516, when you enter the room it smells of mould, the smell didn't disappear, so we held our breath each time we entered the room. The shower glass needs repair as it dangerous, each time you shower the room fills up with water from the shower. The fridge does not keep items cold although the setting is on max, the door shelf is broken, you can't place anything in the door as it falls out, the chair has no bottom, when you sit in it you sink. The door on the cupboard of the door fridge needs a new hinge as the door sits lopsided and the pillows were flat as paper. Tthe breakfast had the same variety each day, the Chinese cook was abrupt and didn't look happy, the food was bland, the coffee was disgusting, the pastries didn't attract you to eat them, they were just thrown in the box, the fruit salad was out of a can and the fresh fruit was not sweet. There were 4 or 5 different breads available however the iconic Maltese bread was nowhere to be seen. The rooms should have tea/coffee facilities available and an iron board and iron as all the guests who are holidaying need these items. Instead you have to pay a deposit, what an inconvenience and room service you have to pay cash at the time of delivery.

Our room was serviced daily however not much care was taken, there were a few times no towels were left and the floor was not cleaned each day.

Overall the hotel promotes a 4 star service when really its a 2-3 star. Management need to revise their services and check the condition of their rooms before a customer is handed a key.

No matter what reasons you provide in your response none are satisfactory as a 4 star hotel should not these issues.

Hotel is nice, situated on 3-5 minutes walking by the street with a lot of restaurants and bars. Amazing sea view from the restaurant. I'm not happy only with bed mattress and pillows, they are very, very soft.

Great location, close to the bus stops, the new breakfast we liked, and the staff at the reception.
We had bathing baths at us, but I think he could do that too, and offer the pool swimmers!
It is worth visiting the island and accommodation at this hotel.

The hotel is well located. Nearby, going to the right, there is a pebbly beach, going to the left, about 5 minutes. urban sandy beach. Equally close are the premises and Paceville living at night, mainly for young people. There is a lot of police everywhere, so it's rather safe. And everywhere you can hear the Polish language :) Near the hotel is Casino. We had a room with a so-called side view of the sea. Breakfast very varied, with fruits, sweet and specific.

Very helpful staff, very clean facilities. Only water in the pool was quite full of chemicals and my partner had problems with the eyes for a day after. In general, good place and i recommend. John from the pool and the Romanian lady at the lobby bar were very helpful and nice.

Yeah it was a nice hotel, when I was first time in Malta I stayed there, nice house keeping service and the view from the balcony was amazing. It is in the heart of Malta St. Julian's where you can wonder around the streets, very beautiful and party place and to spend your vacation there. There are few Halal restaurants are available on walking distance.

Hotel more than nice, location close to 3 bus stops; more than enough international breakfast (but Italian coffee we forget ) a lot of courtesy at the reception; superior sea view large room with comfortable bathroom and King size bed; indoor pool rating 6+; the only flaw is the cleanliness that is not the best (they change towels every day but the floor and toilets are not yet done after 5 days of stay);

I must start with saying is an nice hotel and good value with a special deal.
The view from our room is fabulous, and it's a fantastic panorama of the sea and the hotel is situated in a rather quiet area. There are lots of constructions going on currently but I believe it's like this almost everywhere.

However the ambitions seems to be higher and even if it was, it's not really a 4 star hotel anymore.
The hotel is getting worn and to take a few examples, the bathroom was pathed with silicon, the towel is probably clean but stained. the sofa was worn out and the fabric ripped. The fridge works but not very well. The AC cannot be controlled by a seasoned programmer like me, and the room is quite warm especially 04am when the AC seems to save power.

The breakfast is ok. Some variety, but I miss a lot like fresh fruits (not only apples),, better variety on musli, and much more healthy options for everything, including bread etc.
I would expect the juices to be natural and fresh, but its made from concentrate and sweetened.

The indoor pool area is nice. The Jacuzzi only worked at 50% and you need to book the sauna in advance, or it's cold. This area also has a fitness center I didn't use this time, but it looked ok. The pool at the rooftop is ok but not very big (10X6m).

The staff are polite but not very engaged.

With aligned expectations this is a nice stay!

Spacious room and superb bathroom. Well put. The equipment deserves to be renovated. The soundproofing was very bad (access door between the rooms, with a neighboring night client). Breakfast varied but of average quality. To take at a broken price.

Very nice stay. We had spent a week at this hotel it was just beautiful. Very good home, we were entitled to a room seen on the sea whatever we had paid just a standard room. The breakfast is very varied with a lot of choices and a very good quality. The service is top. The location is 500 m from the beach and in the heart of the center. A lot of coffee next door. No noise. Short magnificent

Beautiful hotel, located in the center of St Julien s nightlife. Spacious and spotless rooms. Super friendly and super helpful staff. Huge breakfast with the cook who cooked omelettes for you at the time. And then, to top it off, the pool on the seventh floor. In short .. simply UNIQUE experience and I highly recommend it to anyone

Very good attention from the staff. Spacious breakfast room overlooking the sea, varied food options. Pool with panoramic view. Check in very late, 3pm with no option to anything earlier.

The hotel has a great view on St. Julian bay and although it is right in Paceville it's really quiet. The rooms are spacious, modern and well lit, although I would have preferred a change of sheets mid-week. The wifi is strong and stable.

I rate this excellent property and I am only in the middle of the stay, second day of the stay. Starting with the fact that we arrived and the room was ready sooner than expected. Later in the evening Samuele from the reception dedicated his time to tell us all the means of transport and the beaches. The wonderful thing was the welcome at the restaurant we pointed out that we could not eat spices used by them. They offered us the possibility to choose anything from the menu without even giving an addition to the half-board price. The structure is excellent, very kind staff. The room is fantastic for staying in the center of the country, with youth nightlife, and buses connected all over Malta the prices are fantastic. Special thanks to the chef and the waiters for the treatment they gave us, thanks also to the always precise and kind cleaning staff.

A good hotel in a fantastic location, close to everything in St. Julian's, the disadvantage is that sometimes you are housed in a remote wing probably before the hotel expanded, the beds were a bit uncomfortable, the refrigerator was not so cool. Beyond that, it is an excellent location and a good price

You did not spend the night yourself, but you did look inside, but a bit more expensive hotel, but then you are immediately on the beach and at one of the boarding places for the hop-on bus tours.

Is just a normal standard hotel with good price quality ratio. The customer service of the receptionists is terrible, the internet has an awful system, breakfast is just quantity and not quality but it has a good location

I really liked the hotel: it's close to everything you would do in saint julian - buses to discos, beach, bars and pubs - but you don't hear any of the noise caused by tourists all night. I only had breakfast in here and there was a large offer with a pretty good quality. I enjoyed the pool area, the room and the service. The only problem I had in here it's that the chek-in starts at 3 pm and there were no controls over who came at the hotel day and night. Of course I'd recommend this hotel to a friend to stay in Malta and have a good holiday.
