We got there by Uber, so we entered near the Rush tower office area, which is not the main office btw, and we tried to check in somewhat early (around 12 ish ig). My mom had made reservations a few months prior, but to the main tower/hotel, but we didn't know which one was which, and the lady who tried to sign us in didn't say anything, nothing like "oh this isn't the right place to sign in, this is for the people who are staying here", which kinda sucked, so we ended up staying in the Rush towers. We had to wait until around 4 to actually get in our room though, because apparently getting a room with 2 beds was hard?? So it sucked that we had to wait around forever and got in the wrong room. But the hotel room was okay, a bit small but the view was terrible. We were near the air conditioners and Fremont Street (you could see the metal roof to it). It was kind of loud, especially at night, but bearable (they can give you ear plugs if necessary). The only saving Grace was really the pool area. It was kind of crowded, but the slide and the tank were really cool. Overall okay experience, wouldn't stay again though.

This is the nicest hotel downtown. The Rush tower is nicely appointed, and highly recommend any new guests request a South-facing room (facing Strip) to avoid the loud noise from the bands on Fremont at night. Would of rated 5 stars but they changed their nightly resort fee from $5 to $22 recently.

Great big room, cleaned each day day. Staff were very friendly. Could have wished there was no smoking but our room was no smoking and thankfully we did not smell it at all inside. It is the best place to stay on Fremont street and some of the best bang for buck in Vegas. We'll stay there again for sure.

I only went to the casino, but it was very fun and fair looking! I didn't end up spending much time there but I thought the tables were fair and good looking. Felt the least old of the casinos in the area, however.

The famous slide was under construction during our visit...when I requested a manager he was "too busy" to assist......we only booked for the slide. No indication that the slide was closed while making the reservation .... if you are going for the slide, call before making your reservation. I sure wish I had.

I went there last year (2015) and didn't have any expectations going in and was weary because it is an old hotel, but I was very surprised by the beauty and calmness of the spa. The front desk was very welcoming, made me feel comfortable for it was my very first massage ever, they showed me to the changing room and where I could put my things in. While I waited they had some snacks and water in a very relaxing room. My masseuse came in and took me to my room. She explained to me how it worked. I had the best massage and it turns out we were from the same area in California. I would definitely recommend going again.

Checked out the Golden Nugget along with the rest of the Fremont Experience. The lower cost of drinks for a Las Vegas Casino bar was nice to just spend the savings at gambling. The casino was very lively and was enjoyable for the short 2 hours spent there.

I've always enjoyed walking through this casino, we ate at a restaurant just recently and had a great experience. I've only seen the suite, but that was a very luxurious room. Good place to stop if you're downtown.

We had a 40th birthday party at the cabana and had a spa suite reserved. Our room wasn't ready until 4:30, when it was suppose to be ready at 3pm. That changed our afternoon completely. We of course spent more money at the cabana than we wanted because we couldn't get into the room to get ready for dinner. It was really an inconvenience even though we were told everything would go smoothly.

First time in Vegas and we lost our cell phone at the Golden, where the slots are of course. Long story short, we didn t find it in Vegas. We got home, made some calls and they found it in lost and found. The Hotel was great, accommodating, and they mailed it back to us promptly, we had our cell phone back in a few days. Can t wait to be back to enjoy Vegas more.

1 night stay in the Carson Tower. Rooms are outdated. No coffee or refrigerator in room. Rooms were clean though. Rooms were a little pricey compared to other comparables. All in all not a bad place.

Clean but older rooms. Our room was very far away. No coffee in room. Only king beds, need to up grade to queens. Starbucks long line. Rooms are very noisy from out door traffic. From minnesota.

Large buffet that's a little pricey but well worth it in comparison to other casino buffets located on Fremont. They offer a great variety of delicious food. The prime rib is great and so are the raviolis and canolis that they offer.

The Golden Nugget was an ok casino. It is a different vibe from the strip bc its downtown but still felt crowded and touristy. I prefer other casinos in downtown bc you get better odds on blackjack and so on

Our machines would never pay out more than $40 on a bonus game was a direct quote we received from the slot manger Carl Gunn. While playing on a machine we hit a bonus of 20 free games. The machine then malfunctioned saying a door was open on the first of our free spins. After calling a slot attendant who came and kicked the door closed, it malfunctioned again. We waited for another attendant who could not get it fixed. She called a tech who could not fix the machine, who then called for the manager Carl. He said there wasn t anything they could do and he offered us $60. We already had $24 left in credits in the machine plus $16 from the first bonus spin. So he was only really offering us $20. He told us I ve played this machine before and it doesn t pay that much. And our machines would never pay out more than $40 on a bonus game. We replied are you saying we shouldn t play here? To which he said I m just letting you know it doesn t pay out . I asked for his manager which he just kept saying he was the manager. Not wanting to giver his bosses name. Finally the attendant told me her name but wouldn t call her. We decided to waste no further time here and left. I contacted the casino on twitter and through email on their website. 5 days later I received a response on Twitter. Their response was that spoke with the manager and we received the best possible outcome from the situation . They didn t ask us what happened, just said they were aware of the situation and games malfunction and there s nothing else they can do. I responded saying we re not asking for money, just decent customer service. They have not replied since. This was a very poor customer service experience all around. I would highly recommend spending your time and money in a different casino and hotel.

We love staying at Golden Nugget Las Vegas on Fremont Street. We stayed in the Gold Tower 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom and wet bar Parlor Suite. Good choices for food and the gambling allows you to play and the slots are not too tight. Walk right out onto Fremont Street and enjoy the Fremont Street Experience.

Great time, loved being downtown with all of the other casinos so nice and close! Room was ok, had better but pd more. And the pool was closed, feel like we should have been comp'd a bit for that. People were nice.

I was upgraded to the Rush tower and it is nice. Machines have been clean and food was good. Machines are tight small pots here and there. In 4 days have not seen a single payout.

I anticipated they were going to check temperatures before entering. Not so and there was no social distancing nor was anyone except staff required to wear facemask. I guess covid 19 left las Vegas.

I specifically went for the buffet but it was not open today so I ended up going to Claim Jumpers. I had the fish and chips. I did not particularly care for them but the person I was with enjoyed them.

Very fun and u get the "old school" Vegas vibe there! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is bc Freemont street is exciting and fun with a lot going on but, a little bit sketchy. If u go there make sure u are aware of your surroundings at all times. Stick w the ppl u go w and make sure u aren't taking a lot of valuables w u.

Hotel staff has been top notch. Rooms are nice and clean. Bathroom is a bit small. Resort fee even though lots are closed due to covid 19. If they waived that would be 5 stars. Pool is fantastic. Many restaurants and each one has been great. A little pricey but its vegas

Went to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, didn't get a king bed like we booked...two doubles. Found a used band aid in one bed, they immediately changed the bedding and gave us a $50 credit. The entire staff was very personable and helpful. Water costs $5. Very limited late night room service menu....most things $17. Great location, casino doesn't pay out well and drinks are very infrequent. Plaza was better.

Every time I visit Vegas I have to visit the Golden Nugget. I love the old school vegas vibe of Fremont Street. I've stayed at the nugget a few times and each time it's pleasant. They also accept pets but charge a fee and deposit.

If you like blackjack, this is a good place to visit. They have single deck blackjack and double deck blackjack making your odds of winning a bit better. And like all the other casinos on Fremont Street, the meals are much less expensive than on the newer Las Vegas strip.

The people at the front desk are really nice to hold your belongings for you at the baggage claim of you are visiting and don't want to leave them lying around at the pool. The shark tank pool is awesome and the slide down through it is pretty fast. Bars are extra expensive there though.

treated ok could have been more lenient with resort fees and price for the 6 weeks I stayed there. now the home2 hilton on dean martin drive was better assessed my needs and gave me a discount of about 35 percent real class for my dire needs.treated better family member hospitalized and they hilton accommodated us thanks.

Good service and pool area, coomon areas are fine but the rooms certainly show their age. They were clean but dated and tired. Amazing location if you're looking to be in the heart of the old Vegas strip. Priced right all things considered! I'd stay here on a later return trip if this was the desired area of Vegas.

The Golden Nugget was kind of kitschy, like most of the old Strip area, but kind of fun. The pool area looked cool, and like most hotel-casinos there, they have multiple restaurants and shops. The chocolate at the Chocolate Box is actually pretty good, and the Chart House restaurant has very good food and drinks-- I do recommend those two. The casino is run-of-the-mill, if you're into that, very standard. Seeing the world's largest golden nugget is kinda fun too, again, if you're into that. All in all, I haven't seen the rooms but I likely wouldn't stay there-- but if you're in the old Strip/Fremont street area, it's a fun visit.

The Golden Nugget is probably the best hotel in downtown Las Vegas. The rooms are real nice. I was visiting a friend who had a suite which was luxurious. The casino is popular and always crowded.

Our room was adequate but definitely not modern. Apparently they have a newer tower but we started in the old one. The pool was really fun and service was excellent. Awesome restaurants! Gym was alright but don't expect a lot of equipment. Right on Fremont Street which was a great time.
