Casino floor is what you expect but if you're staying it's a little different. Got the top floor and there is a lot of noise from ventilation systems and I woke up to a constant strong smell of cigarettes in my room after about 5am. It made me keep waking up. Staff was very pleasant though.

The location is in the heart of downtown. The tables are 5 and the drinks are cheaper then the strip. Rooms are upgraded as well as the hotel so much better. Only flaw is it's packed now. Service is great.

Good hotel on Freemont street with a nice pool and good selection of restaurants.
The interior of the hotel, elevator and rooms are looking a little tired and the room offers just the essentials.
Would be nice to have a little fridge or a coffee maker !

By far the best place to stay and the price is right. I love Vegas but don't love the strip. The Golden Nugget is in the heart of what Vegas used to be.

I really love the old Vegas style atmosphere than you can feel only in Downtown Las Vegas in the Fremont Street! The rooms are new and well remodel. The casino as always new machine,lots of restaurants for all the budget and of course the Best part is the Shark Pool, you can't missing if you're in Vegas. If you stay there in summer you can enjoy the tunnel insiede the shark pool, is one of the amazing thing you can do only in Vegas. Highly recommend!!!

I have always made time to visit Golden Nugget when in Vegas. It's a classic taste of Vegas .

Enjoyed seeing the real golden nugget. Played some craps, love old Vegas.

I understand that it has GREAT entertainment on Friday and Saturday nites

Fast check-in. Nice room on the 22nd floor. A plastic grocery bag was stuffed in the crack of the window where the sealant was supposed to be but was missing. The remote had broken parts inside of it. The wall outlets were very loose and did not hold onto my power cords. The room overall was very nice and the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The room was pretty dark. The lobby was extra smoke-filled. Guests were on the less desirable drunk side. The safe was locked open. Two bottles of complimentary water. Great value for the money.

Do you like onion rings? This is the place for you! Ordered room service at midnight and got two orders of the onion rings and let me tell you worth every penny! Dang never have I ever had such a delightful treat. Took my mouth to flavor town with that sauce and perfectly battered onions! Delicious! 15/10 would definitely pay double for these little rings of heaven. Thanks golden nugget room service! Nailed it!

When ever I go the freemont this is where I get dropped off because after 10 years I probably know the layout of those casino best outta any down here. Gambling here is good

this place is very Pokemon player friendly and has let me sit down next to a slot machine even though I'm not playing it as long as they're not like crazy crowded busy. I have been allowed to use their bathrooms and other facilities as well even though I was not a paying customer. Security is always helpful and never rude.

Won a lot of money here (to me). Work up 9am, went to the casino, hit quad twos (got called all the way and won a bonus $200) and then went a wedding. Went back to the casino and won more money. Best day ever.

My aunt in law hit a pretty good win, drinks were good too.

Great staff clean room and very nice. Slots are gambling but getting some winning. Great food.

Always a place to walk through and enjoy the Beautiful things that they put up for decorations

Big hotel downtown food was very good.better to stay on Vegas strip if you can .bring your best walking sneakers.

The hotel is beautiful. I loved the pool and fish tanks.

The bar upstairs is great. Sit on the patio and people watch and the zip liners go right by and one of the bands is right in front of you.

We stayed on the 9th floor at the Carson tower, I wasn't expecting much because we paid under $100 for the room but we were pleasantly surprised by what we got. Everything was clean and Fairly new. Check in was fast, free parking, and right next to Fremont. It wasn't perfect spot.

Very nice hotel. Room was clean and nice. Decent prices. Slots were fairly loose. Buffet was a bit pricey. Pool was fantastic. Service through the entire facility was stellar, everyone was so nice. Only complaint was that some of the elevators were malfunctioning while I was there.

Had an awesome stay! Loved the shark pool and cozy robe and slippers they provide. Prime location to the Fremont experience, shops and walks. You will be in the middle of all the action, but still very close to the Uber pickup area and bus stop. Nugget or bust for us!

Had a great time but the elevators need some serious work.

The restaurant was amazing. The gambling was okay although I didn't win it was still fun with new games. The people were awesome they were there to help you if you needed them or do you need to change. I suggest is for anyone who goes into gamble or to eat. Good luck to everybody

Always like to pop into the Golden Nugget when I'm on Fremont. It's been around for long time and enjoy the energy.

A Las Vegas classic stopped in hotel was Very clean staff was very friendly It is a great addition to a Fremont street experience I highly recommend it for the older crowd that loves to slot machine gamble this place still has it

Unfortunately people don't always follow the rules. We were in a non-smoking room that smelled completely of smoke. The front desk did put us in another room right away. Other than that minor annoyance of having to change rooms our stay was a nice one. Even though the hotel and casino are on the older side you wouldn't be ablt to tell by looking at the premises. Nice updates to the rooms. The casino has all the new bells and whistles. Was very happy with the cleanliness and easy access to Fremont. Enjoyed my stay here more than on the main strip.

Amazing pool inside the hotel!!! And fish tanks everywhere, very cool place! Food was good and beverages were perfect. The club wasn't as big as I was hoping and the music wasn't that great either.

I stayed in the gold hotel suite facing the pool. The room was super clean and luxurious. The hotel has various wonderful restaurants and located next to the ceiling light show which was awesome. Would certainly stay there again in the future.

Food was good but literally couldn't finish since they allowed someone so intoxicated that he threw up in front of us and we couldn't eat anymore. Paid over 100 and not even an apology

Rooms are very nice, but resort fees are excessive. Our non-smoking floor was overrun with marijuana. This was unpleasant for both myself and family.

Comfortable bed. Clean rooms. Great security. Can't get up the elevator to the rooms without a room key. Great restaurants, awesome bars. Live music nightly, easy access to Freemont street. Shark tank pool is awesome with jacuzzi too.

Having a good time at the LV Golden Nugget, but for my invisibility super power. Not sure who you have to know to get service by the pool. Second day in a row of being ignored. Even after complaining to a manager yesterday.

Went for dinner and drinks. Dinner was okay, didn't think it was as good as the price would lead you to hope. But, service was good and the manager on duty did the best he could to offer a reasonable compromise.

Its Vegas on Fremont St. Always a fun night if your wanting to take a stop and gamble some money. Always nice taking your drinks out of the casinoes. Sweet they give those plastics cups. Vegas is always full of memories and fun with friends and family.never a lame experience when your with your friends in Vegas without kids hahaha!!

Fantastic old school real adult casino lasr time i was there they gave me a sweet room on the top floor great place to relax and enjoy real las Vegas downtown is the original family casinos the casinos restaurants are magnificent and the large pool is a great place to enjoy the desert sun and get a massage at the spa or room service is a treat at 3 am

They have a great sushi restaurant inside. The sushi was really fresh and the service was great, especially since the super bowl was going on.

Loved it here. Classic. Timeless. My friends and I went to Golden nugget because we wanted to place lower bids on blackjack. If you are new to gambling, this is where you need to be.

Good room not enough outlets for equipment c-pap but they fixed it very quick. Had to wait 3 hours for room which was booked 4 months in advance.. but had a good time.

A great place to stay and enjoy. The only annoying thing is that I was with a large group so our rooms were split up. Not a big deal, but when you're in different buildings, i.e. gold tower vs. another, you can't get into any other building. Someone from that building has to meet you at the elevator and use their room key in the elevator to bring you their room. Very inconvenient.

Awsome stay, great view, and by it being on the Fremont, the party never stopped. Plus you can go swimming with the Sharks...how amazing is that!?!?!

Worst costumer service....we ve been staying at this hotel since 2012, until today!!! We paid extra to upgrade, only to be kept up all night from construction work...to top it off, stepped out of the shower grabbed my towel to dry off and a cockroach dropped out and started running around the shower!! After calling the front desk to explain our frustrations with this stay, I felt our concerns were being ignored with excuses...very unprofessional! Think twice before staying here, we won t be back.

Nicest casino on Fremont street. I love the pool in the middle. Would like it better if the craps limits were lower.

The hotel had only 1 elevator working when people where trying to check out. The bathroom the water ran constantly.The TV didn't work and the only good feature they have the pool had limited access and no one could use the slide

Pretty cool for an older casino. Had fun playing $5 blackjack. Would be nice if there were more $5 poker tables open that were actually $5

This IS the casino for downtown Vegas! Fremont street is so much fun! Lots of bands, restaurants, bars, vendors and TONS of people watching.

My husband and I stay here every year. We love the atmosphere and the pool is awesome. I recommend getting the VIP add on, we checked in super fast and no waiting. Can't wait to be back.

The Golden Nugget really stepped up their lobby and casino floor since my last visit. The place is looking great. Classic Vegas done as it should be. I will be coming back soon to stay for vacation.

Great show outside around 8pm. Kids zip lined and love it.

We stayed in the Gold tower, the room was nice but no view. The location was great, as soon as you walk out the hotel door, you walk right into the Fremont Street Experience. There's so much so see and do.

I was surprised when I checked in, my room was upgraded. Beautiful pool area. I really like Cadillac, the sports bar. Great happy hour.

This is a great location. It s so close to the Fremont Experience. If you want easy access to Fremont to see street performers then I suggest staying here. It s a nice environment. Better than all the other hotels in this area.

Lost money, lol, but I always do. The only negative is the smell. They need a ventilation system with oxygen and fresh air. Had a great time!

I live here and have been doing staycations once a month for the past two years. I've been looking for the perfect mix and the best pool. Though the pool gets crowded after 9 am , if you get seats you will have the best service ever! I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about the hotel's both on the strip and downtown. .. this is my FAVORITE!
