Very nice casino, really trying to make old Las Vegas look new again. Nice pool area and great access to Fremont Street. Great value.

Been 2 or 3 years since I've been here but they have made the Nugget much much nicer. We love coming here.
Right on freemont, little smokey inside but tolerable
First time here and I was impressed. The room was so much more than I needed. Clean, comfortable and spacious. I spent three days here and attended a conference in the Bel Air Foyer. Everything was perfect. Thanks for the hospitality.
Great old casino. Love the atmosphere of this place. Definitely a bit cheaper that the "big" casinos on the strip. Worth a visit if your in vegas
I had a GREAT time staying here! The pool and shark tank was amazing and the sharks were very tame. The rooms were very clean and service was quick. The staff were very kind and helpful when we wanted or needed help. I would recommend staying here if you re coming to the Las Vegas. The hotel is also right next to tons of attractions! If you come here, I m sure that you ll have a great time like I did!
Booked our rooms 3 months ago for a business trip. We have stayed at the Nugget for 12 years. Got to our room at 9:30, planning an early start in the am. We were greeted with the Boom, Boom, Boom of a nearby club. We were told the noise and vibration would not end until at least 1:00am. They would not accomodate us with another room. Great way to treat returnings guests! "Complimentary earplugs". NEVER AGAIN!
10th wedding Anniversary brought us to town. I booked my flight and hotel together. I had never been to Freemont street before. When we arrived in Vegas I was expecting a shuttle from the hotel. Nope, we had to find and pay for a way to get there. Checking in was smooth(ish) the room was okay, but not really what I was expecting. The slot machines were more expensive then ones on the strip. The new shark pool was over crowded at all times and closed super early (this is Vegas, what closes at 7 in Vegas) the restaurants in the casino other than the grill were over priced. We spent more time at other casinos then the one we were staying in. However I'm giving 4 stars because of how we were treated by two staff members. Aaron (older bartender) and Marilyn (let it ride dealer) Friendly and personable and the time we spent chatting with them made up for things the hotel was lacking. I cant say we will return to this hotel to stay. But maybe to visit
Right in the heart of Fremont St., downtown. Great food, relaxed gambling, and fewer idiots.
Nice Casino, not as friendly as I would have expected...drink service was so slow. But it was an ok place.
Nice Casino. But the staff (cocktail waitresses and security guards) were VERY rude at the times of our visits.
Outstanding if you stay on the Rush Tower side. One of the downsides is that anywhere you go downstairs smells of cigarette smoke....but that's expected. Room was fresh and clean and really nice. The only thing I didn't like about the room was outlet availability and location. No outlets next to bed to charge your phone. I would stay again.
We liked Fremont a lot and we enjoyed our visit to the Golden Nugget. Great vibe even in the middle of the day, great spot for a little gambling and drinks.
The hotel and casino were very friendly and we'll kept. The tables at the casino were packed but thereally were plenty of staff to accommodate the traffic. It was an overall great stay.
When you visit Las Vegas don t spend too much time on the Strip you MUST go to Fremont Street I m Old Las Vegas. The party carried on until the wee hours of the night. You can gamble, eat food food, party and zip line over thousands of people. Also make sure you try your luck at the Golden Nugget.
We had a great time! Stayed in the Rush tower in an upgraded room and it was beautiful! Hotel is right on Fremont Street and very convenient to everything downtown. If you have kids they will love the pool...it encircles a shark aquarium! Very cool!
Probably the only location that won't serve a chicken sandwich before 10:30. You open at 6 a.m. yeah customer service. NOT!
Best hotel downtown! The nightlife is awesome and the swimming pool is amazing, really love this place!
I like the casino and the environment. Better than some of the casinos on the strip
Vegas in general is 5stars, if not drink more and it will be soon enough lol.
Did not stay in the room but at at the Grotto and it was fantastic! Swimming pool has a slide thru live sharks and you can see them all day while swimming. Casino had a great fun atmosphere and open to Fremont Street where it's nonstop party!
Totally awesome true throwback Vegas Style music, actual coin slot machines, and wonderful staff. Definitely great time. Enjoy!
The views are amazing, comfy bed and easily accessbile to transportation and the action.
There's always alot to do, when in Vegas! It is a great atmosphere, with the lights and music, from the Casino machines, to the shops, and restaurants as well!
Nice casino in the downtown area. Awesome shark pool and great downtown vibes.
Great place to have a drink and play some cards. Pool area is nice as well
Great experience, a few thing that was disappointing was paid for upgrade in the Rush Tower, (no smoking) and there was smoking on the floor. The upgrades we're noticeable, however it would have been nice to have had a microwave in the room for late night tea and to reheat leftovers.
Crowds of people is a bit much. Fantastic pool. Starbucks is s plus. Right on Fremont street.
Great scene of classic Vegas. Highly recommend to those who want to see outside of the strip
Lots of things to do around here, loved the sharks in the pool, that is the neatest thing ever. Loved how big the place is as well. Fun part of Fremont street
Best place to gamble! Great hotel rooms . Friendly staff. Great restaurants. Amazing buffet!!!! Will be back
We have stayed here year after year..but this time it was not very good. The first room was handicapped...which is fine we didn't ask for it but my husband IS handicapped with Parkinson's and everything was too low. Move to the 2nd room. Can't unpack because the toilet is leaking all over the floor...we are told they might be able to fix it...nope! So we move to a THIRD room and are given credit toward food to which I ask could we use toward spa...nope! The next day we go to the pool order breakfast burrito and promptly in 20 min start throwing up after eating it. Call the front desk and speak to Anne who is so rude she passes me to security. I ask about a doctor and nothing offered. Security drops off papers for me to fill out and comes back and says oh by the way do you need a paramedic? Not one person asked are you ok or offered one ounce of help. I had not had a vacation in 2 years. I CHOSE TO STAY HERE. I will think again for our yearly visit.
We had a great time, I just wish there was penny keno machines available. But other than that we had a blast.
The gold nugget is always a great place to play. There's slots seem to be very fair compared to anything on the strip. I also love their rooms and atmosphere. It is the best hotel in Downtown Las Vegas.
It's a place where no kids it's definitely R rated place don't take your kids to the strip
Have great experience with casino not sure about hotel.
Great atmosphere. Huge fish tank at pool. Freemont Street Experience right there.
The food was nice and the price was okay. We had fish and chips but the batter was a little too crunchy. Friends had steak and said it was beautiful.
Great location, staff, and services. I had a great stay here
I really love the pool. It's super fun! The rooms are okay. We just stayed one night.
Beautiful hotel, excellent atmosphere, very busy.
One down fall. If there's a band playing on Fremont Street and your on the Fremont Street side(there's not a good view, your not missing anything). The music is very loud and plays into the morning hours.
Make sure your not on the Fremont Street side. (Gold Tower)
Yes they provide ear plugs, no they didn't work. At all. 12 stories up and far from the band and it still rocked our room
Great Old School Las Vegas place. The staff was fantastic and very accommodating. It's it's own little city inside.
One of the best and friendliest hotels I ever been to. The room was just beautiful,
Wonderful experience! Impeccable esthetics and customer service. Food from in house restaurant was some of the best I've ever had in my life!
We visited the Golden Nugget on a day trip to old downtown Las Vegas. It is a nice casino. What we really enjoyed was the wonderful lunch buffet. It had a huge variety and everything we tasted was delicious. I had remembered from a trip there many years ago (and we did stay there on that trip)
that they had a great buffet with the best bread pudding I had ever eaten in my life. They still serve bread pudding that's as good as I remember! Also, the service was wonderful. And, incidentally, their pool area still has the cool shark tank that you can swim right next to.
This is an older hotel but there's so much to do there. Next time I visit LV, I plan to stay here instead of in the newer side of Vegas.
Cool Fremont Street Casino. Visit to see the giant aquarium in the pool area. Or maybe to check out the largest gold nugget ever found, which is in a rotating display near the casino floor - good for pictures with the nugget. How about a wonderful high-end steak dinner at Vic and Anthony's? Awesome place to dine while in the Fremont area.
Parking is inexpensive (yes, you have to pay to park in the Fremont Street area...).
Great access to the Fremont Street Experience, with the casino being the far west end of Fremont, where it all starts.
I have not stayed at the hotel, preferring to stay center strip, but you could do worse than the Golden Nugget.
GREAT place, you will go back home and tell everyone about it and what a GREAT time you had there!!!!!
Love old Las Vegas. The Golden Nugget still has class. Would love to stay here on our next visit.
The Golden Nugget is always a fabulous place to stay! My Casino Host always helps me with my bookings! The rooms are clean the service is amazing and this place is just loaded with wonderful places to eat great gaming and employees who really know what it means to show someone a good time! It is my number one favorite place to stay in Las Vegas
Seriously - you can have the strip. I love Freemont Street downtown. The people watching is fantastic. There are street performers. The light show overhead is world class. And of course the old school Casinos that have stood the test of time. They are fantastic. The Golden Nugget is a must stop when in Vegas. Just Uber down from your high priced room on the strip. Walk, talk, explore. Good stuff.
First time staying downtown and I was not disappointed!! This hotel was amazing and the pool made it even that much better!! I will definitely be staying here again!!
Old school casino pretty cool buuuuut my wallet was stolen here so that was fun.
Fun place! I know exactly what tables are keeping my money...LOL!
On my bucket list of places to stay, so far the casino is awesome, I always win something at the GN.
Better than the casinos on the strip! $5 min black jack tables were really fun. A little smokey but worth the atmosphere.
Had a great time. Very nostalgic with gold handles and fixtures. Cool pool area with fish tank and good drinks at inside pool bar.
Came here to hit up hash hause a go go...pretty nice place!
They have come a long way in recent years. Love the dealers who double as dancers. They rotate around. There is a great bar outside and the girls dance on it.
I want my wife and I enjoyed it was the best can't wait to go back next year maybe sooner
First time staying downtown and had a blast! The Golden Nugget was a great place to stay! Looking forward to coming back!
We love their restaurant near Cafe but it seems like they always try to find a new way to screw the local customer
Room was awesome. Food is quite expensive but really good. Staff was awesome. Drew is one of a kind. Very helpful and nice.
I got married at the Golden Nugget fine years ago, and my recent visit was a bit of a let down. The resort fees are getting out of control, and I was reasonable certain I had a late check out, but the system didn't show it at all...
Was here for Martin Harris Christmas party. Martin Harris rented the ballroom and it was a nice venue. The desserts were great and the dinner menu was ok. Dinner menu was same as last year. Decent food, nothing amazing. Turkey and prime rib. But really fantastic for Martin Harris to host this event for their employees, subcontractors and vendors!
Rooms are nice and clean, especially the new tower.
Restaurant are great and the tank is a plus.
Super smokey, outdated decor. Depressed faces at slot machines. Felt I have some pain in my throat from all the smoke and I only walked in to use the bathroom! Awful.
Old school charm. I liked this place better than being on the strip. Stop by the claim jumper for a great meal at a very fair price.
Remodeled nugget is awesome! Everything one needs to relax or get freaky, your choice!
great variety of slots also deco so cute at holidays kinda a classy joint but not really since we talkin about the mont
I had come here once before... The Chinese chicken salad was great.... The chicken fingers and the ribs this time.. They were really good.... I definitely will come back again....
Part of the Fremont Street experience. See a part of Las Vegas history
By far the nicest hotel/casino downtown. Lots of choices for restaurants, and our server/bartender was awesome! Will be visiting more often.
We r currently staying 12/23 thru 12/26 at the golden nugget....I have paid extra so we could stay floor 16 or above....a mini fridge would have been nice....I called tbe front desk and if I wanted the fridge .....would b 25.00 a day....honestly people....we r not rich but we r consistent customers once a year and always choose the golden nugget....will defiantly look at other casinos/hotels tomorrow .....like the plaza ,the California ...main street etc....for our 2019 trip....
..
Great location off Freemont with friendly staff. I would stay here again
Sat at the bar for my boyfriends 21st birthday. I love coming here because the drinks are cheap and if you put a dollar in the machines they give them for free as well.
However, it was his birthday that night so his ID is still vertical. It expires in 2023 and is a NV license. Earlier that night we had been served with no problem. Come back later with a different bartender and he refuses to sell to my bf.
He said he couldn t serve him because it was policy and the even though he s 21 it s considered an invalid ID because it s vertical. We were drinking there just a few hours earlier! Dude wouldn t listen. So we said okay walked to a different bar in the SAME casino and got served.
I guess he was on some kind of power trip but it really upset me. This is usually my go to place but now I m not sure if we will run into this problem with the same guy next time. Disappointing.
The room was nice but you have to pay extra for just about everything. Other than that it was great.
Have stayed here over the last 10 years with no complaints but this time was horrid. Messed up our reservations putting my 83 mother in a tower separate from us though we'd had reservation for 1 month. They stated no handicap rooms in other towers but couldn't move us into her tower. Then gave me a handicap room which we didn't want with a terrible hard bed. No coffee makers in rooms, noisy, overall poor. Will not stay here again.
We stayed here 2 nights the kids love the pool area. Have stayed here before had no issues however this time. We stayed in room 6 - 688 as we were getting ready to leave we moved blankets to make sure we didn't forget. Anything we spotted a bed bug my husband went to pick it up and it was so rull of blood from bitting him and my 5 yr old son that it popped I went straight down to front desk to tell them the gave me a different room and had me fill out a "report" with security thay was it I payed over $250 for 1 night I was told to Call risk management in 4 to 5 days as they had to conduct a full inspection. We switched rooms and at 8am 9 am and 10 am housekeeping kept coming in the room .. My understanding was they come in after 11am not at those times 3rd time I had just gotten out of shower and was not dressed. I understand that bed bugs happen but they didnt even care that my son and husband were bite
