The hotel is one of the older ones in Las Vegas. It was very clean. Low rating is for the room key card. We made 7 trips to the front desk to get replacements. A 2 night stay, that's crazy. Security is everywhere.

Although older in age, The Golden Nugget still has it where it counts. Classy and elegant suites, an elaborate pool accented with an enormous tank filled with fish and sharks that a water slide flows right in the middle of. There's awesome eats and games of all kinds. But the neatest feature is it's proximity to the Fremont Experience, or rather you walk out the door right on to the old strip!! Double thumbs up!!
Golden Nugget was a amazing experience friendly service nice rooms. No microwaves . The outside pool area was beautiful with the wrap around pool and fish aquarium.
We always stay in the Rush tower. We love the rooms and the convenient location! However, charging $10.00 for the in room coffee is not what we'd expect for the price we pay for the room. So, we bring our own.
2nd visit in 2 years . I know that the Freemont experience is meant to be tongue in cheek and sleazy. But this time it was just sleazy feeling. Got ripped off in the tequila bar. $111 for 4 drinks and Nachos. Time share staff were really annoying , I eventually lost my patience and told them to stop asking me,I'm talking every single time I walked past. Even after 2 minutes. Only 2 lifts seemed to work. Long wait to get to my cigar smelling room. If you are young and want to get drunk of your face every night and see naked nuns, then the four queens is just as goodand with no reset fee. Sorry Fremont Street !! I won't be back.
Super fun. It's one of the older casinos in downtown Las Vegas (it seems like you win easier here than on the strip). They have tons of slots, and table games. The restaurants are good inside, they have a few in there (something for everyone). The drinks are definitely not watered down and the bathrooms are clean. The decor is also very nice and up to date for an older building. Definitely a must visit on Fremont.
If you are staying downtown, the Nugget is your best choice. For price vs quality it wins. However do not expect to be treated the 4 star hotel they claim they are. The staff is not friendly or helpful at all. They always have the front understaffed and if you are not out at the pool before it opens, don't plan on using the pool. The shark tank is cool, but the resort has turned into a bizarre family place. People walking through the casino at 1am with strollers. We have stayed here before and liked it well enough to come back 6 years later. Sadly it has changed, you can tell the staff is over worked and the experience is not 4 star. There were to many instances of poor service. We spent a week in Vegas but spent our money at other casinos, including gambling. We were treated better at casinos that we didn't stay at.
Room's are nice and clean, They didn't take the extra precautions like the other casino's were there were temperature checks,I don't understand how so many people can smoke still with all this Covid still going on, most people smoking had their masks under their chin. Not really fair for the none smokers.
Golden nugget is a great place to visit when you are out on Freemont having a good time. It is an older casino and you get that old school casino vibe!
Great hotel, friendly staff and good room service. The elevators were down numerous times during our week long stay so that was frustrating but in the end great cardio from all the stairs I did! Awesome shark tank in the pool. Good on site dining.
I sat here and played the casinos for a little bit and had a couple drinks. I like the feel here and I will look at staying here another time when vacationing to Vegas!
Love the Golden Nugget! Treat my Husband and I like Royalty! Our Host Charles is always makes sure we're covered. Rides, Reservations ect. Vic and Anthony's Steak house is remarkable! Highly recommend!
I wish my king room would of come with more in it like a refrigerater and a microwave but i guess that's the way they want it for u to spend more and its not really a easy access to get to the elevator especially on the 7th floor with not a great view. Room service very nasty tryed to charge me almost $40 for buffalo wings and onion rings everything in Vegas is over priced and not worth it i will never be back. But on the cool the best part of this place is the pool area.
Clean room, lots of restaurants & loved being located right at Fremont Street where all the action is. Free concerts every Sat & Sun. The $33 resort fee daily kinda sucks. There was also an odor of poo from the sink in the bathroom when we ran the water.
It was as absolutely amazing atmosphere. Great selection of slots, tables, and restaurants. The only reason I didnt give it a 5 star is because our room could have been cleaner. Alot of dust on shelves. And finger prints on doors from previous guests. ( not sure of the nasty stuff that was on their hands)? Maybe changing an air filter if the rooms require them. Also the floors could have been swept better. We stayed in the rush tower. No coffee machines and no mini fridge. That kinda stinks. Other than that, we would stay there again. The cleaning can always be improved!!
First time staying on the fremont experience and absolutely loved it. The Golden nugget exceeded my expectations. The rooms were so spacious. The pool was phenomenal. It was great!
I had a great time on Freemont st. I wasn't super impressed with my room as I was on the 4th floor Ina fairly dingy room, behind the light canopy on Freemont, however, once I took the experience for what it was worth I enjoyed it. Music played until 1pm and lights were very bright. Regardless I still had a great time, but know what you're getting into.
The Casino is really nice and the restaurants are great when they are open, but the casino tower rooms are sooooo outdated. No plugs, TV channels just local, sooo not worth the price .
450 for 4 nights .Good location in the middle of freemont st. Chick fillet gives you an easy cheap bite at the bottom of Carson tower...next to Starbucks for coffee. The cleaning crew for the rooms was not quite on point for the rooms but not to bad and the elevators could use some love.
It was a blast. We had a great experience. Everything about it remind me of the Old Las Vegas common you really come to appreciate that. The environment was awesome along with Fremont Street or you can walk and see all the entertainment I would recommend it to anyone and yes I will go again
Rush Tower - Golden Nugget Las Vegas 25209 was Our Suite number and it was absolutely amazing...I took better photos than they had available at the desk when we upgraded. So glad we did. It was on the Top floor (25th)- you have to use your hotel room key to Access this floor. We were spoiled!
The casino was easy to navigate and the service was good. The hotel rooms were clean and spacious, and everything worked. The Claim Jumper and the Cadillac restaurants menu was good and both provided excellent service. I would definitely stay here again
Still the best hotel on Fremont Street. Comfortable modernized rooms and great amenities. Good convention/meeting facilities. On the minus side, dining options are less stellar (the Chinese restaurant is a stand out) and often closed in rotation when business is slow. Slots seem VERY tight. I stay here, but venture over to the Main Street Casino a few blocks away for looser slots and a far better (and cheaper) buffet, and elsewhere for other dining.
We went into the Casino to gamble and we were pleased with the atmosphere. They had a good amount of table games and slots. The minimums were comparable to the strip which surprised us. We had fun and will definitely go back.
Beautiful room with hot tub and rain shower. Very fun casino and several good restaurant options. Great service from staff. Looking forward to coming back in the summer!!
We did not stay at the hotel we stopped for the buffet. There is an overwhelming nose burning perfume that lingers everywhere. The place is clean and updated. The buffet was well worth the money, everything fresh and amazing, dessert and coffee. Bathrooms clean and soap stocked. I can't comment on the hotel other than parking is plentiful and easy.
It was nice outside and the flair bartender entertained my nieces with his skills. We didn't go inside today, but it's usually awesome and they have great places to eat inside.
I have been to Las Vegas 3 times in the past 4 years and have never visited "old Vegas". I arrived on Fremont st. hungry. My family and I decided on the Golden Nugget buffet for dinner. The hotel had an old charm to it and was drawn to the atmosphere. The food was great and the presentation was nice as well.
Awesome place that can please all palates for food, gambling and entertainment. Ideal location on Fremont street and easy to find. Hidden gem is the aquarium tank surrounded by an outdoor pool/ bar/ gambling tables
The Golden Nugget has a poker room chock-full of experienced poker players. Definitely a room for the advanced player or recreational players looking for an authentic poker experience. The play is fast paced and there's no limit to the buy-in. Dealers may be less inclined to go out of their way to keep angling in check here and effective stack size behind may vary wildly up and down -- allowing betting capacity to be capped or expanded from hand to hand. This is great if you're an experienced player looking to match a novice but not so great if you think you're putting a short stack all-in only to find there's a lot more behind where that short stack came from. Assume an all-in bet could be for your entire stack and you'll be fine. When in doubt, ask how much the other player has behind (total chips + total cash), especially if you don't have a good view of the other player's stack and cash.
Fabulous Hotel, excellent staff, delicious food, great entertainment. Fantastic conference facilities. Great rooms. Outstanding pool with super special tubular exciting ride right through the middle of an aquarium. Situated on Fremont Street Arcade an amazing arcade of fun and excitement.
The place may look nice but it is hard for people who walk on a cane. Everything is so far apart, the parking garge to hotel desk, hotel desk to hotel rooms. All walkways are narrow which makes it harder for people in a wheelchair. I would say it is handicap accessible but not handicap friendly. The hotel check in desk is not very friendly either.
