First time staying in downtown Vegas. And I have to say this hotel is great! The casino is lively and has cool scenery (the fish/shark tanks). The rooms are spacious and look well kept. And they have an awesome pool. Fremont Street is right out the doors too. If staying in downtown I'd recommend this hotel first.

Really nice hotel and casino. Resort fees are pricey and it seems like a long walk from the casino area to the elevators to get to the rooms just because this place is so sprawling. Comps are ok

I love the nugget. My boyfriend played a poker tournament here and they gave us a free room and vouchers for the sushi bar inside. The pool is amazing and they have a live shark in it. really cool casino/hotel.

Rooms are great size. The service there is top notch not many places left where people go out of there way to help you but this is deffently a great one. I had pretty good luck on the slot machines there too.

The buffet experience is more of a wide assortment of food catered to whatever you have a taste for at that moment. In addition to the soft lighting and wonderful staff setting the perfect relaxed ambience for breakfast.

Perfect location on Freemont street! We had a big problem with check in though. We were attending a 30 year USMC reunion for a 7 day stay. We arrived on a late night flight and were hungry and exhausted. We were promptly checked in and headed for the room in Carson Tower with 4 suitcases in tow, only to find out, after walking all over the 10th floor, that our room number did not exist. All the way back down, still dragging our luggage with us, to the check in desk, only to find out that they told us the wrong tower. Our room was actually in Rush tower. My husband who is a retired disabled USMC veteran asked if there was anyone who could get us a luggage cart or help us get our luggage to our room. He was told that ALL of the guys who could help us were on break. I was almost in tears by this time and not even one staff member apologized to us at any time. After finally getting to our room around 3am, we fell into bed. Luckily, the rest of our stay was excellent! Room was super clean and very quiet. Amazing pool! Parking garage was very convenient. Plenty of great restaurants in hotel. Hoping that our check in experience was not a normal thing.

Nice room, nice location, staff was pretty friendly except for the bartender who served me my first drink next to the grill. He was slow, rude, forgetful and seemed like he was on some kind of drug. It resulted in me getting my drinks elsewhere and not gambling in the casino. Their loss.

The food was amazing! The service was lacking from our waiter, but don't let that scare you...I'm pretty sure we just had a lazy person. All other staff was friendly and on top of their game to the max. Worth the money, believe me

I didn't have any problems really. The Chart House was my favorite restaurant that I tried. The customer Service was great. Good Happy Hours in the hotel. The room service food didn't taste the best (ordered wings and burger), but I would go back. Overall, very nice experience. The large fish/shark tanks added to the hotel.

Once a year I come to the Golden Nugget to gamble. Not stay at the hotel, not easy any food, just sit at a table and gamble. Every year has been pleasant and nice. Until this year. This year the lady taking bets was rude and condescending. She was very unfriendly, and well... rude. This is a getaway, we are supposed to be having fun and enjoying ourselves. I was so disenchanted I left. I'll go to a place that wants me to have fun while slowly taking my money from me. Easy decision. Trying to figure out if I should ever go back, we'll see.

Went to the Grille since it was Monday and the buffet was closed. Burger too greasy for me and 3x too many fries. Quick time preparing, but I wasn't expecting fine dining. No plans to return.

We loved staying here for our 1 year anniversary! So much to do. Plus right outside the hotel was always a band or an act! The night life was more active in this district than on the actual strip of vegas. We were glad we chose to stay at the Golden Nugget. The staff was very helpful too! No complaints at all here! The aquarium at the pool was awesome too!

They have been great. Rooms are nice, better then 4 Queens. The staff is friendly, the restaurants we tried were all very good. The drinks well made, but low ratio of cocktail waitresses. The location is great, right in middle of Freemont Street.

Very Smokey but that's Las Vegas. We went to the Summit for our Real Time Pain Relief company. They had fresh water and fresh coffee but not enough. The whole pig for our reception was TERRIFIC. The food was great.

love, Love, LOVE the Golden Nugget! The buffet offers a wide variety of food, plus so many other restaurants to choose from. One warning for you though: beware when ordering beer at the outside sitdown bar. I ordered a Coors Light can, which was poured into a plastic cup, and the cost was $5.50. Next I ordered a small Coors Light and I received a draw in the same size cup and the cost was $6.50.

I ve never been to Vegas, but from what I ve experienced at this location, it has to be the same.
Casino hosts take care of every event or issue you might have. Vic & Anthony s is the perfect venue for fine dining and getting the best wagyu steak and fine wines before a night of gambling. Then for the nightcap end it at Blue Blue Martini with a DJ or Live band, bottle service or cocktails by the order.
On the weekends during the summer the adult pool has a live DJ and the swim up bar is always stocked.

Hands down the best casino I ve ever been to.

This is my go-to location in Las Vegas. I have spent about four Christmases there and loved every bit of the experience. Changes in best available air travel scheduling combined with my own travel restrictions for health reasons has kept me away longer than I like but I'd go back in a heartbeat if either changed.

We didn't stay we just did a walk through to see if we wanted to stay here next year and this is the one that we will be using.

Pros: Great Pool with Shark tank, clean, and very friendly.

Cons: None yet but I will update when we visit

Definitely visit the shark tank by the swimming pool. The Tank had a tour you can arrange to join twice a week that was a really personal and awesome experience I thought. The Marine biologists/conservatory folks were great to talk to. And then of course ride the water slide through the tank.
