I actually really like this casino. Its knees of the older ones but they've done a great job at keeping it up. The decor is nice and so are the staff.

Bedsheet like this when we walked in~ totally different than photos and described on website ...
Old Vegas, and live music in the lounge. Great pool in the warm weather.
Gave this place "5"STAR has a friendly environment..for Adults & Kiddos!!
POOL#1..WATERSLIDE..& Fish Tank!!.LOVED the FREMONT soo close by!! Rooms CLEAN/COZY..Room Service was Great!!..Staff very kind!!
EXCEPT for ONLY 1..NEGATIVE experience was when i checked in..LATE night...had to deal with bad customer service...this lady must of been not too happy about her LATE-NIGHT SHIFT..
BAD ATTITUDE!!..even told me if i didnt like it I could cut my stay there short ..
Took her name dwn frm her badge...& of course complained in a.m..then comes to find out..that wasnt her correct name on her badge ..A.M. front desk...Very understanding!!..Made sure was satisfied with our stay..& threw in FREE buffet for the Fam...ENJOYED that too!!..
FAMILY LOVED THE STAY HERE!!
WILL BE BACK AGAIN!!
On the old strip, gritty, but the look suits them. Live performances on the strip. Worth a look.
I went to the golden Nugget after having dinner at another downtown casino. I was surprised to find only high limit tables when I expected lower limit ones. I guess it's been awhile since I hung out in old Vegas, things are changing. The casino was super crowded and I really liked the new exterior lighting. Overall a fun place to gamble when off the strip.
The best of old Vegas. Great swimming pool with slide
We dinned at Vic & Anthony's inside. This is an upscale experience. The food was very good.
I have no problem with the hotel but one female worker was incredibly rude to me and my family and put a damper on the visit
Drinks suck but gambling is cheap here so I still had a good time!
Best pool in Downtown Las Vegas. It s free for guests of the hotel and $25 M-F $35 Saturday and Sunday. They have a 21+ section if you d like to not be around screaming kids. It s on the 3rd level upstairs on the deck. You have to pay for chairs/cabanas/lounges. Towels are free. They have a nice bar in the hideout (21+ section). You can get chair massages for $3.
Its just your average casino in las vegas, it looks fancy with all gold colors on the outside but on the inside its just like any other casino. But it does look very nice. But their security constantly harass you. If you have kids and you stop on the walkway in the casino just for like 30 seconds the security comes and demands you to keep walking or they will kick me out. Not very friendly at all.
The only place we stay in Vegas.Absolute top notch staff and accomodations.Julie Phillips Hall is the best!!!
Just finished a 5 night stay. I was surprised they have expaned their smoking area to cover most of the casino. The poker room was the only area I found that was non-smoking. This will probably be our last stay there.
Our favorite and only place to stay in Vegas. Staff,Employees,Maids,Waitresses are all top notch. Shark tank/swimming pool is great. All restaurants are exceptional. Perfect location in Downtown. Never mind the rest Da Nugget is da BEST!!!! Mahalo Nui for our wonderful week.
I stay here often. The staff is always so nice and it's in such a nice location.
I don't really like downtown that much I don't like some of the strange people that's hanging around or dirty people but Golden Nugget Casino and Resort is pretty clean it's updated it has his moments of being crowded but it's still a nice place to enjoy
Poker Room is as I remember from previous trips ; old Vegas at it's best. Parking fee is a game breaker though. Parking for guests is free everyone else pays, not good business!
Was a great time in the casino. Was still able to find 5 dollar tables.
Great location to stay in, we ended up in the old part of the hotel that really needs upgrading but we had a great time. The restaurants are great, the bars are expensive. Easy access to Fremont street where you have access to about anything. Uber took us from & to the hotel, they were excellent, i recommend using them to & from the Airport and everywhere else.
If you're thinking about staying here because it appears cheaper than other places, move along. They will nickle and dime you over everything. $13/day for wireless internet, or $0.75/minute at the "Business center". A 30 second call to a long distance number is $10 minimum. And laundry and to some extent dry cleanings is more expensive than you would expect. Basically any time they can possibly charge you for something they will and it'll be higher than you could reasonably expect.
Good poker room though, had a 1-2 No limit game going almost 24/7. Often 3 or more tables. Lots of daily tournaments. Generally filled with locals and skilled players with the odd fish. There is no max buy-in for the cash games, which is monumentally awesome.
And the Shark tank/aquarium in the middle of the pool is pretty cool.
I love that its very fresh when you walk in. Another good thing is that my friend found his lost phone and he got it back the next day. It was in lost and found
Love taking all my old friends and walking around old Vegas..a lot of fun
Walked through the casino area to get a taste of the original Vegas. It was a very busy scene on a Saturday night.
The line to get into the pool was way too long. They didn't have the slide on. They didn't have the top part of the pool open. The man at the front counter was very ignorant. I've never been in a hotel were the front desk has certain hours that it open.
Mario is absolutely wonderful. He takes great care of us and we truly appreciate him. Shawn was as always a gracious and caring individual. Thank you very much for always having incredible friends as wait people. We can't wait to make a return visit as a guest. Sincerely. Michael Renner
We visited this casino a few times while staying downtown. The staff are all nice and very helpful. There's a few places to eat and it's pretty clean.
It's one of the major Downtown Vegas casinos, and it's in line with the toned-down but still classy vibe you get in the area. I've been in the rooms before, too, and they were much nicer than you'd expect. I'd recommend stopping in if you're on Fremont Street.
Had a non smoking room on 21st floor in Carson tower. Room was clean and entire 21st floor had no smell of smoke whatsoever. Hotel had great bars and pool area
Service at check in, restaurants, and bars was good. Stayed in the Carson Tower PREMIUM room (which means standard according to the frontdesk, don't do it) no mini fridge (extra $30 a day to rent one from the Nugget), microwave, or coffee pot. Cleaning lady told me on one of the days, "Sorry, no wash cloths today" whuu?? Maybe the Nugget should use the 3 resort fees they charged my family (which we used none of) and buy some wash cloths. Elevators may work or sometimes just act like they are not going to work, scary. The most important thing, get new beds, omg! At least I can't wait to get back home to my own bed. In conclusion, Golden Poop Nugget, thanks for putting a roof over my head but I would rather pay the same amount and stay on the strip and uber it to old town.
We booked a queen bed but when we got there the only thing available was smoking. They put us in a 2 double room, and we could hear the elevator going all night. Good location for the hotel, easy access to Fremont Street.
Carpets are dirty. Room sometimes are clean to fast and it shows. There is no place to play a lot of times, so I go to the room or drive to another casino, hard to put time on table.
They put us in a room next to the elevator elevator shook the whole room all day and all night. It took four days for them to offer us another room. They ended up refunding 1 days Resort fee.
Beautiful place! Unnecessarily expensive. But great atmosphere and views
One of the best places to stay. Specially the pool with the slide, fish tank. You can play blackjack out in the pool. Lay out or stay in ththe water in the shaded part. Cabanas are cheap drinks as well and so is the room with no resort fee most of the time. You can t beat this place. Real Vegas
Had a blast losing my money with all the incentives they give tourist
It is a good place. Lot of restaurants and bars plus live music outside.
First night the bed sheets where covered in someone else s blood and quite a lot of it. The fact that so much blood could be on clean linen has me concerned about what else has been missed.
The Nugget is great if your looking for some old school Vegas but very nice rooms and service. Fremont Street right out the door is world class people watching!!
Tons of extra fees for everything. Staff was very unhelpful. House keeper only came 2 out of the 4 days we were there. Had to call for clean towels. Won't stay there again.
Fantastic place my kids loved swimming with the shark tank
Was the best Casino I entered. I'll mostly played black jack! But if you are gambling I suggest it strongly!
Love the updated old school casino feel. I would stay and play here no questions asked.
Beautiful place beautiful decorations. Lots of slots machines
ok, they were suppose to pick up our luggage and didn't take it down to the bus.
Very very Nice rooms right om fremont where the action is gd food thete i recomend this hotel
I only played some poker and ate some food at Golden Nugget. I did not stay overnight there. But I really like the atmosphere at the Golden Nugget. I recommend this place.
Made reservations 2 months in advance. We wanted a non-smoking room for two. We show up in our told that there's no such thing as reservations at this place. And we got stuck in a smoking room. Needless to say my weekend was horrible. I felt like I was waking up on the wrong side of the bed every morning. To make matters worse when they tried to put us in a non-smoking room they put us at literally the very top floor at the farthest room away from the elevators. The short Hispanic girl working the front desk but the sour taste in my mouth and I will never, ever be back at this hotel again.
The rooms were clean and maintained very well. It was a great experience.
We reserved a room with 1 king bed, but they stuck us in a 2 bed, which honestly isn't a big deal. Once we got to our room though it was absolutely filthy. Beds not made, trash all over the floor, dirty diapers overflowing from the garbage can, and suitcases were still in the room. Once we got to the front desk they put us into a different room, but they seemed to not believe us at first that our first room was dirty and still occupied.
The rooms are also severely lacking in amenities. No fridge, microwave, or coffee maker. The TV has poor picture quality, very few channels, and the remote barely works. This isn't a big deal as you don't come to Vegas to watch TV, but it would be nice to have better TV options for when you're relaxing in the room for a bit or winding down for the night. The water pressure in the showers also isn't that good. Besides these issues, it's just your typical hotel room. Adequate, but nothing special.
The whole resort fee is a scam as well. All you get out of it is 2 bottles of water per day and wifi. The casino is nice, but we didn't win anything. Had much better luck at places on the strip.
The pool area is cool with the shark tank, but I'm not much of a swimmer so we didn't utilize that area. Being right on Fremont street is a plus as there's a lot to do there, especially at night.
Overall there are worse places to stay in Vegas, but this definitely isn't in the top tier.
Fantastic people working there. First rate rooms. Great food been staying there for years
Went to Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse BUT the CASINO was clean & constantly being cleaned w/o being a nuisance.
Everyone was in masks n being compliant.
Everyone was pleasant & having a good time.
We felt good, safe & nice being there.
I LOVE this casino. Not as crazy as the strip. Everything is close by. Service is great. Rooms are lovely.
Great table games limits are lower then the other casino so made it way more fun to gamble.
Valet staff are awesome. The band in the lounge was great!! But make sure that you have enough cash with you if you want a beer.
Love this place! The staff are really friendly and kind. Getting married here in a few hours and I'm sure it will be amazing as well!
The best of old vegas, time and again. Approachable, low minimums, friendly dealers and you don't have to be a high roller to fit in here. Always a lively crowd, good drinks service. If you want to see Vegas as the rat pack might have, get off the strip and take a cab/uber to the Golden Nugget - it's the benchmark by which other Fremont st. casinos should be judged. Don't miss seeing the actual golden nugget in the lobby.
Friendly bartenders and table staff. Clean throughout and low minimum bets which is nice if you're a tourist rather than a gambler.
Great place to stay. Beautiful rooms with great hospitality, with easy check in and out process
All the way at the end of Fremont St. Apart from seeing old school Vegas and all the shiney golden lights, the must see attraction here is the shark tank in the swimming pool!
5 Stars Golden Nugget Making America Great Again with several fine dinning opinions like Red Noodle with amazing Happy Hour Specials and fabulous hostess that greets you with such a beautiful smile you will enjoy rolling the dice here.
Casino located on Freemont. Plenty of slots, not enough black jack tables
The Golden Nugget has the biggest nugget of gold you have ever seen
Really awesome place. had an amazing time. roulette tables weren't as crowded as other places. definitely a good vibe. some of the servers took a little long to bring back drinks but all in all great night
Much nicer than any resort in old Vegas, I was pleasantly surprised. The shark tank is super cool, will have to come back in the summer when the slide is open
Friendly staff, good location in the old downtown but A bit far from the new downtown.
Definitely enjoyed our experience! The slide was loads of fun, the line wasn't too long of a wait either. Our bartender was great!
The room was perfect for our stay! Definitely worth it!
This place has changed for the worst. We were standing in line for the ATM where you break change. We were next in line until one of their cocktail waitresses rudely stepped in front of us and had to get her 34 cent tip...No lie she had a voucher. Yet couldn't wait and then SAME waitress asked for a drink as we were sitting down to okay a slot. She refused to get us anseink because we weren't already sitting down and playing. I would not recommend this place of you paid me. I am never going back to that broke down casino again. Rude ass staff.
I LOVE staying at The Golden Nugget! They are SUPER affordable during the week! We re talking under $40/night. That goes up to $150/night Fridays and Saturday s.
The best part about this place is the pool! There is a giant shark tank IN the pool with a water slide going through it!!!
I d stay at the golden nugget any time! You can make Vegas fun and affordable!
Cleanest casino floor, easy to navigate hotel, friendly dealers unlike binions.
As gambling goes the table games I found are more generous to the gamblers than anywhere else
Loved it here we will definitely be back. Best hotel near/ on Fremont.... Plus the pool is incredible
Step out on to Freemont Street!! We had a pleasant stay with friendly, attentive service. Room was clean and quiet. We will definitely be back!!
Great place to stay! It's almost right in the center of Fremont Street. Rooms aren't bad. Neither are the prices.
Great hotel and I have great memories because I had two worlds title and a recent third place in one of the most competitive and funny championship I ever had.
Great place to have a whole lot of fun a must-visit on Fremont Street Las Vegas.
Beautiful place. Alot of hustle and bustle. Great environment!
We stayed in the gold tower at the Golden Nugget expecting a great experience! Upon arrival our rooms weren't ready (even though check-in was at 3 and we arrived around 5:30) and the price had changed from what we agreed to when we booked in months prior. One of our rooms had a very dirty bath tub as well. Overall I was not impressed with my experience and will not be staying again.
The Fremont experience gets better and better every week
Good at the buffet was fantastic. I visited 3 times in my 5 day trip and it satisfied each time. Delish!
We stayed here in 2019. Had a blast. If you've never spent time on Fremont Street you should.
