We had a great time playing tables at the Golden Nugget! The dealers were fun and entertaining! It was our first time on Fremont, and we will be back!

My mother has always wanted to go to Vegas so my husband and I booked a group getaway for two nights first night here my mother noticed bugs in the tub we spoke with someone at the front desk the lady was short and very unconcerned she said she didn t have time to change the room so she would send house keeping 9 hours later issue still not resolved asked to speak with manager out come Victor Gonzalez he says that he doesn t have anyone that can properly clean the room when we asked for a refund we received nothing this hotel is a total disappointment.
Stayed in deluxe king in Rush Tower. Great room but will make sure I don't get room that fronts Freemont Street. Had to sleep with earplugs so I couldn't hear the music. Also room comes with coffeemaker but K Cups cost $17 for a 4 pack. Will buy at home.Staff was great, always helpful and ready to help.
Reunion there almost every year , great time, good food a little $$$$.
Cool place but didn't like how busy it was and the same guy sitting near me no matter where I went spoke to 2 staff members two young ladies at the rewards center to get your cards were sweet and funny. Good time
Love the remodel. Pool fish tank is amazing. Rooms are clean. Extra pet fee adds up
The Golden Nugget is pure greatness. Excellent service all around the food and drinks keep coming. I have nothing bad to say about this resort.
Nicest place downtown large selection of slots and table games
Great casino on the old strip. Has a charm to it. Nice atmosphere to spend time with friends in.
First off, the front desk clerks need to take a class in how to be polite. Very rude. Do not eat at their buffet. Not worth the money. Rolls were hard, shrimp looked & taste like it was dipped in grease, pizza soggy, not a good selection, people act & look like they were miserable working there. All restaurants were expensive with exception of Cadillac Tequila Bar. It was good during happy hour. Bed was comfy & pool was nice but be ready to pay the price in fees to enjoy it. I would not stay here again. Don't waste your money. Stay on the strip. There's more to do!
No Twisted Tea. Binions, across the street has it.... Guess where I'll be sitting for the next week? Sleeping at the Nugget and playing across the street. I might come to the Nugget to swim....
Paid 60 bucks for the privilege to check in and get in the room early... Checked in at 10am, it's 2PM and rooms still not ready.
Extremely noisy, there was a concert next door and it was deafening. They wouldn't move us. There were no fridge, coffee/tea making facilities and the ice machine wasn't working. Very basic.
It was so much fun! I even won some at the casino! Food was delicious and staff was amazing.
We're local, but always enjoy staying the night at the Rush Tower. Gaming in fun, and Vince Neil concert was great at the showroom (getting beer is a pain, but...)
A bit dirty and worn out. But again. Interesting. We were playing blackjack and the shuffler stopped working at our table only. Lost electricity. When we looked each table had a menagerie of extension cords underneath them.
Golden nugget the history of vegas well worth a visit
we like to gamble at the golden nugget. my husband loves the table games
Great service. Great staff delicious food prices affordable. Will come back
Gorgeous facilities, great location, plenty of things to do all within the hotel.
They have updated the casino nicely but it cost us $15 to park for 2.5 hours which was not worth it as a local to go down there.
Love this hotel. The slots are a little tight.. but the pool area is awesome.
Love old Vegas! The pool looks nice at The Golden Nugget.
Nicest hotel on Fremont. Big fan of the pool and fish tank. Always relaxing to have a drink and watch the fish swim.
Classic place to gamble. Have a room in a few weeks there and can't wait to return. This is my favorite place to play in DT.
Great atmosphere. Loose slots. Excellent dining. Comfortable rooms.
I was not an overnight guest but just stopped in with friends on a Saturday night. Excellent stop. Lots of games and fun to be had, friendly staff, and a very clean and inviting environment.
Its good has good food and service. Has lots of games for adults like slot machine and other things. For the kids there is a big pool that they can swim at that has a slide. The rooms are very good service to.
Very glam and a lovely room but it was very noisy at nigh due to lorries working all night outside but but most of all i cant stand the idea of a resort fee or having to pay for wifi or even a fridge! We get all of these for free in Europe!!!!!!
We had a wonderful time at this nostalgic staple of "Old Vegas". The casino, hotel and abundant restaurants and bars made for a great experience as we like appreciate the "one stop shopping" mentality. The service and overall atmosphere was very inviting from the clean updated rooms or the beautiful pools and aquariums to the spacious gambling areas and delicious dining. I have to say thanks to The Golden Nugget for making my first "Old Vegas" experience a winner.
They're rooms I think are a little over priced for the quality of the room
The hotel room was small and the windows were dirty. The bathroom door was see through and the view was terrible. Overall, horrible experience.
Based on casino, location, etc. Did not stay in hotel.
Location on freemont street is great. The casino, bars and restaurants are great and comparable to the strip, but somewhat cheaper.
The quality of the building again on par with most strip places. Would suggest taking a couple of nights on freemont, and a couple on the strip for a good variety.
Lots of different places nearby. Close to mob museum and other hotels and casinos.
They did an up grade the hospitality is awesome great atmosphere great service
I was looking for a little less expensive place to stay. So I guess I found it. Rooms were clean and maintained. Room layout was dated. Hard to find plugs for charging except in bathroom. Extra 'resort fee' adds another $22 to the cost of staying here. The only benefit was bottled water refreshed each day. Gambling floor was smokey.
Poker room was the most active I could find on the Freemont Street.
Hotel security is a joke. To them 45 mins to come check on a couple who were beating each other up. Also our 17th floor room on could hear everything outside. There was a gap between air-conditioning unit and window. When it rained the water would come in. Our room didn't get cleaned properly .. I would not recommend this hotel.
Good place. Fremont is fun. Only Vegas left that s any good.
Nice hotel and casino. We went to have the lunch buffet, which is affordable and having various food items. We loved this place.
Good buffet, good service. Used to be a dump but they have made it back very nicely.
Love this place I might be a little biased cause I won 3000 from here but it's great place to gamble and have fun great service
Love this place I have reservations for my b day week
Mike from the International Beer Bar seams like a nice guy but he is drowning. He needs help serving guest. I was charged for playing what the posted sign stated. What happened Golden Nugget? Any lawyers reading this? False advertising at its best.
First class accommodations. The pool is beautiful. The room was elegant. And comfortable. There was a tv in the bathroom mirror.
Just don't go to Claude's bar if you don't want to get your night ruined .
First room we stayed in was terrible. Water pressure was weak Taking a shower took to long, and I could barely stand under the shower head I had to hold the shower head up. We had to flush the toilet a few times for it to work. The internet is not free you have to pay a resort fee that includes internet, 2 water bottles a day, fitness room (we did not go to since on vacation), parking. No coffee pot in the first room. We did get switched to another room. This room was better. Coffee in this room but they were k-cups and if you used it they added $10 or $15 on to your room! Coffee should be included in the room. The stay was okay and staff was friendly!
The buffet on Sunday night is amazing!
Everything was great. Packed on a tuesday. Free drinks and fun for everyone.
Lights and sounds you'd expect of Vegas. Food, drinks, shows, craps, blackjack, slots, and a bar that shares my name. No review of the Nugget would be complete without mentioning their amazing swimming pool. Can't wait to take my lady back!
I love the old school feel of the Nugget. Great times
We've been visiting the Golden Nugget for almost 25 years. We stayed there when we got married way back in 1993. It's been a special place for us ever since.
I love the poker room and my wife has had great luck with the slots there.
The restaurants are all good! Good food at a great price.
We love the place!
So we booked the reservation last minute and spent 11 minutes on the phone with the agent and told him we were specifically staying here so my nephew could do the Shark Chute. He told us it was 35$ to do it otherwise. Well we get here the next day and it's closed for maintenance and had been when we booked the room. Such an incredibly disappointed 11year old. Went to the front desk and the agent at the front rolled her eyes and the agent I was telling. I wasn't even rude I just said that maybe the reservations dept should know. I'd never stay here again. To top it off my room smells like a sewer:
The hotel staff is always courteous. Never really had an issue with rooms and when I did, it was resolved really quickly. I booked at Rush and there was a mixup on the hotel end. They fixed it immediately without problems. Always love this downtown hotel.
Staff was great. Had a great time playing cash games
I love this place. Right on Fremont St, and rooms were nice. They have the BEST pool! It has a huge shark tank right in the middle of the pool that has a water slide that goes right through it!
Absolutely awesome... Once again! Tried the bone-in tomahawk steak. It was steak perfection! Perfect temperature and melt in your mouth tender. Must try the asparagus- grilled and smoky tender. Got it with the hollandaise and the sauce was incredible. Everything was wonderful. A great anniversary experience!
Very noisy at night. Get free earplugs at the front desk.
I love this hotel. They have a great pool. Everyone is so friendly and helpful!
Nice casino located right in Fremont Street. One of the coolest pools I've seen in Vegas too. Better drink deals once you step outside since you're right on Fremont Street so outside entertainment isn't far at all.
Had a great weekend here at the Golden Nugget with my husband.
Rooms were very nice, clean, & spacious. Planning on staying next year along with our children. They would really enjoy the shark tank pool. Gold Diggers club was a blast on the outdoor balcony.
Love the nugget!
Although I wouldn't stay in Old Vegas again, that's not the nuggets fault, I just prefer being on the strip. We ubered there almost every night and I feel the cost of transportation probably made up the difference of what we saved on the room.
Prices are great, I think we paid 80/night and the pool area with the waterside through the shark tank is obviously awesome.
The food is really good, the buffet is actually really nice both the breakfast and lunch one and there are some really great restaurants including the grotto.
They also have $5 blackjack tables which I'm all about.
The 2 downsides that were big ones for me, the wifi is absolutely horrendous, as in it barely even works at all and you'll have to sign back in every 2 seconds for one bar of service. Also the outlets in the rooms are few and far between and there's none near the bed. Theres outlets in the bathroom and across the room from the bed so if you want to charge your phone at night it cant be near you which was annoying. My phone died during the day a few times bc of this/my own stupidity.
All in all the nugget is a great place to stay, if your dont have to be "plugged in" at all times.
Cutting more corners than the strip which is understandable when keeping people employed. Favorite downtown room. Love the Hideout Pool. Definitely going again.
Something was going on with the bathrooms most of them were closed. Have to walk around to find one open .
Nice always a nice interisting place to visit Do not forget to visit the piece ofGolden Nugget and the Shark Tank
The casino was pretty nice and has a lot to do. It is very iconic and in downtown Las Vegas which has a bunch of places to visit. It isnt the cleanest place to be but still fun to hang out.
Definitely a older casino, as an Australian I cant stand the smell of smoke, good atmosphere
Very large and comfy room for lower price than the Strip. Beautiful pool. Have your base there and take the bus to the Strip. Fremont Street area is getting redone. Check the East part now full of cool eating places.
The waiter Kelly was amazing I will come back just because of him. He was the best waiter i ever had hr has put in over 38 years to the golden nuget. Request him he is a delight and honestly made my experiece here worth while. Thank you Kelly from James your Sagittarius friend
It's old Vegas but still pretty cool. The Fremont Street Experience is worth the visit. The pool here makes up for a lot of that is your vibe.
Enjoyed staying here only bad thing was smoking allowed wish there was a non smoking area of casino
A hotel with everything you wish for. Unfortunately there wasn't enough space at the pool
As far as gaming is concerned they have the best perks or give the best gifts and special events out for people who play Slots their pool called the tank is the most popular and unique and beautiful pool in the whole city of Las Vegas and Henderson the snack bar serves the best quesadilla I've ever had and The Claim Jumper Restaurant has the most delicious exquisitely delicious food for very reasonable prices the rooms are clean and nice and new this is absolutely my most favorite Hotel and Casino in the whole town not to mention it is located right on Fremont Street which is the old Vegas downtown strip area so there is numerous amounts of free entertainment and activities happening on Fremont 24 hours a day 7 days a week this is my hangout I love it. I also wanted to mention that my casino slot hosts Julie Hall is just a gem she always has a smile and a positive attitude she's very professional and efficient and she make sure she takes care of her guests and all areas
Casino area is smaller than I expected. Hotel is clean and neat. Better than I expected, considering the age of establishment. Buffet was ok. Not as large or as many choices as newer facilities. Only 3 main restaurants to choose from. However, since you are in Freemint district, you can walk across the street to several other casinos to dine.
Showing it s age. 3 of 4 elevators in our bank not working meant long lines to ride. crowded gaming floor. pillows hard & lumpy like old play dough. If you must stay downtown try the new Circa, otherwise stick to the Strip.
Nicest Casino Hotel in the old downtown. Very good selections of restaurants. Beautiful fish tank in center of swimming pool very much worth going just to see. Still has free parking for casino players as well as hotel guests!
The Golden Nugget is one of the original of the original Fremont Street hotel & casino's. My first impression of the Golden Nugget was I think I would prefer to stay at another place or to gamble at another place but you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, the poker room was okay not much difference between other old casino poker rooms. I didn't stay at the hotel but I did see the rooms and they look really nice.
I have to say they were beyond my expectations. Aside from a few observations the environment, decoration and visual appeal were very good. Particularly for me, very limited vegan options in their room service menu and slightly dark settings at room floor area. The rooms, which I believe were recently remodeled, were the highlight.
Went to gamble and have drinks. Other hotels will provide complimentary drinks if you are consistently gambling. The Golden Nugget uses a light system where the light is supposed to turn green if you are betting a dollar minimum consistently. After half an hour of play, the light remained orange. We left and went to another casino where drinks were complimentary and spent our money there.
I know it s an older hotel, but I really liked visiting it. We didn t stay the night, but we gambled a little. They gave us a $10 table bet match which was fun to spend.
The line was pretty long to get a players card.
Haven't been downtown in 3 yrs, was presently surprised at how nice it was! The Golden Nugget Casino was awesome. The food at the Grotto was great, the staff super!
Golden Nugget is always a favorite of mine to visit in Vegas. Always a good time. Employees are nice & helpful.
Stayed 3 nights in rm 22222. Staff was very friendly, room was great. Every morning just outside our door was a fruit basket, coffee made, and WERTHERS ORIGINALS!!
The grandpa candy was odd I thought, but still very appreciated.
Beds were sooo comfy, the pillows were perfect and lots of em!
The only problem was the shower water leaked under the glass and got onto the bathroom floor. But it mostly all ran under the sink, so it wasnt a big deal.
I totally recomend this room.
One of my absolute favorite classic hotel casinos in Vegas. I have absolutely no complaints about it. The atmosphere is wonderful the staff is great the bar is good the pool is beautiful the location is great
I love the Nugget. It's always clean and fun, and it smells good.
Had a blast here last time. Great combination of affordable and interesting!
We enjoyed our stay overall. The room could have been cleaner and we were mislead by their "go green then go eat" promotion (the staff wouldn't budge on the secret 8a.m. deadline for enrollment).
