I love the Golden Nugget!! The Rush Tower has been remodeled beautifully. The pool or "The Tank" is relaxing & fun. The many different restaurants were great!! We did not have a bad meal in any of them!! The Grotto, our last night was delicious & I don't normally care for Italian food. The staff was friendly. The only issue was the front desk. They gave my sister coupons for different things & the other lady promised them to us but never gave them. No biggie, it just needs to be consistent.

Played here many of times machines are tight! Rooms though are decent, validated parking available and it's a pretty cool location. Right off of the old school Vegas strip/ Freemont street experience. Very busy and happening place! Fun spot and lots of great affordable food choices with in the Nugget and surrounding.

Overall great place, friendly staff and great accommodations. Their casino is lacking in comparison to some others on Fremont but still great. The pool area is great with an awesome water slide through a shark tank. Would for sure come back here if i didn't want to try other places on Fremont.

The Golden Nuggett used to be legendary with higher levels of service and friendly staff. Now it is just the opposite. I will be looking for another place to stay and play. The Claim Jumper is always good. The only shiny part of the faded old Nug.

Great place in the Fremont area of Las Vegas. It's a lot different from the glitz and glamour of the strip, but has an old, yet timeless class to it. Pretty much a landmark in the area and a must check out.

I called to make reservations and was quoted a price. I was told I could call back and get the same price in less than 5 minutes. I called back to confirm my reservations and was told they would not honor the price. The agents are not trained to give correct pricing with misleading information. I also talked to a manager and was told he could not help me. This was frustrating!

The rooms are really run down. 2nd time I've stayed there in the past year and we've stayed here in the past. Our shower didn't drain both visits, and rooms are dingy. Beds are very uncomfortable. Many of the dealers barely smile, dissapointed to see this hotel going down hill.

Free postcard kiosks to take pictures to send to friends. The pool surrounds a sharktank you can slide through. Exterior furnishings and table games by the pool.
You can watch your favorite sporting event in the Jacuzzi and have cocktails served to you.
Adult sunbathing and cabanas a level up.

My husband and I entered the casino on Jan. 5th around noon. We sat at the bar and ordered a drink we were told we could not have a free drink unless the green light lit on the machine we were playing, we said no problem and each put in a $20 in the bar's poker machine. I played about $4 and was told I could now order a drink, my husband lost $20 in his machine and he was told he could not have a drink because no green light came on. The bartender was very rude and angrily said that was the policy. I took out my money and we left vowing to never return. We walked across to Binions casino and spent a lot of money there. The bean counters of GN should just replace the bartenders with robots at least they would refuse you with a fake smile. I predict Golden Nugget you are on the way to closing because of the loss of customers.

Golden Nugget is a fabulous hotel...the midweek prices are amazing. Once I checked in, I had a refreshing adult beverage at the Ice Bar which is just outside of the pool.BTW, the pool has a shark tank in it with a water slide....freaking cool.

First time actually hanging out at the Golden Nugget ... for what my 30 minute visit was worth ... this was a great casino ... I only played a little blackjack, but didn't really get to experience anything else. The dealer was awesome and I won a little money.

We had a great stay here during our visit to Vegas. Our room was in the Carson Tower part of the hotel, which we were told was recently renovated. It didn t seem especially nice or new but it was just fine for what we paid. Room service was quick and fairly reasonably priced for what it was, but note that they are not very accommodating with substitutions. I requested and small side salad instead of fries with my sandwich (would have been happy to pay more), but they said they don t do that. Not a huge deal. The casino was very fun, the buffet was good. The pool was okay - it s pretty cramped and there s no shade. The lounge chairs are really packed in with no room in between. However, the pool bar service was prompt and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

I have never been here before. Only walked through to a restaurant but wow was I surprised how nice it was inside! They did a great job remodeling and keeping up with the times. I know this casino has been there for a very long time, but when you step in you would know!

We love the Nugget! Have been visiting Vegas since 2005 at least once a year and have tried many different hotels and have always found our way to the Golden Nugget. Best Hotel in ALL of Las Vegas!

Booked a room several months in advance. Got there and was told they were sold out. They upgraded our room but that was of no help since we needed 2 beds and the upgraded room only had one. The lady told us that was our only option. Otherwise we would have to go somewhere else. Spoke to the manager who could have cared less. Seems like they could have notified us in advance of the issue. I just don t see how you can book & pay for a room in advance and then get there and be told oh sorry we sold that room to someone else.

Ok so here is our review for day 1. Long slow line for check in at non-prime hour. We get to the front of the line only to be told that our reserved king bed room is on a first come first serve basis and thus had to take a double for the first night and they will call us tomorrow to switch us to what we reserved. We wanted to come here for the waterside through the shark tank. We get here and notice that the slide is closed. Front desk says it is noted on theit website. (It is...one line toward the bottom of the page, after a full paragraph above it, describing how wonderful their slide is) We asked if they could offer us anything since we are paying for the slide and not getting to use it. They answered "we do not comp for the waterside." They didn't even offer a breakfast coupon or anything.

My girlfriend and I came to have a great time on Fremont. They say first impressions are everything and we won't be coming back to the Golden Nugget. We also won't be recommending this hotel to anyone. Pretty bummed because we had awesome expectations. I'm giving it one star so that I can feel like my money went to something.

Such an amazing hotel! From the location downtown Vegas right on Fremont street, to the shark aquarium in the pool, and the variety of places to eat, gamble, and nightlife, this has been my favourite resort to stay in Vegas. The only thing I would hope to see in the future is that they get bar fridges in every room. The value for such a great resort makes the Golden Nugget my favourite destination in Vegas!

Rooms are ok. Nothing fancy. You are better off staying elsewhere cheaper. The resort fee of $30 a day is basically a total rip off. You get 2 free bottles of water, free phone calls (like who needs their phone) free printing of boarding pass (Big deal) exercise equipment (who is going to exercise in Las Vegas) basically $30 to use the pool. This rip off fee is standard an ruins Las Vegas . Just add it into the price and stop fooling everyone that the rooms are cheap.

Nicely remodeled. One of the nicer casinos downtown. However, could not park because the parking structure was full. Had to park at a different casino. The suite at the spa tower was beautiful with a grand staircase, but the room itself was small.

I do not know where to start.

I do not know where to start.
Dirty rooms.
Unresponsive management.
The free wifi is a joke. The speed of free wifi is 1 MG and if you want more you have to pay. And the free wifi disconnects all the time.

Non smoking rooms smell very bad.

Do not waste a dime on this hotel

Might be a great hotel. Not sure; they were my first choice because of their location but they don't allow any guests to hang out in your suite. Had to take my wedding party elsewhere. Weird - no other hotel had a problem with this.

Horrible place for the money. Paid $300 for this for two nights. Put us literally the farthest away from the casino. Supposed to be the "best" in downtown and it is the worst. Plaza or Grand is much better for much less. The drinks and food suck and you feel like all they are trying to do is take the most money from you and give you the least of EVERYTHING! Stay somewhere else.

Very clean for a Downtown Vegas hotel which tends to be older. It does still have old cigarette smell, but the fish tanks more than make up for it. Golden Nugget is definitely worth visiting. I will be back to try the tube slide through their shark tank. Swimsuits required and there is a small fee. I think $5. Small but beautiful pool area with views of the shark tank and waterfalls off the roof. Friendly staff.

The hotel has a convenient location for the Fremont experience! It is one of the nicest hotels on Fremont and has a really cool pool area. It is still a little bit older, which is why it didn't get five stars. Mostly middle aged people staying here, but it was still a lot of fun.

If anyone is looking for a cheap price they can book on Expedia, do make sure though that you confirm all your details and that everything is paid up for before travelling as they is a Las Vegas fee of around $30 a night that most people don't advise you off. The hotel is very good for what it offers and is right in the centre of Freemont Street where the original and old part of Vegas is.

Busy hot spot in the Fremont district. Much less pretentious than the strip of the newer huge casinos/hotels. Great restaurants, I love the sushi bar. Pool has a water slide through a shark tank. I've always had fun there.

Decent hotel, conveniently situated. I'm deducting a star for the "resort fee" - I know this is a pretty universal practice, but being stung for an extra $36 per night leaves a bit of a nasty taste in the mouth. Be honest and roll it into the room rates.

If this were my first experience in Vegas, I would never come again. I was here a couple years ago in December. A couple years later and different season. WOW!! Absolutely horrendous. Definitely not kid friendly. The service was terrible, the room was dingy (and we had a suite), the pool was closed when we checked in because someone threw up in it! We checked out the following morning and went to Mandalay Bay. Night and day! I will forever stay at the Mandalay Bay and will NEVER go back to the Nugget. Incredibly disappointing.
