Stayed at the rush Tower 22nd floor awesome room and service had a great time at the Shark Tank pool where the water was nice and cool and they also have an adult pool on the upper level. Lots of great restaurants to eat at and exits right onto the Fremont experience.
Still undergoing some changes so a bit of construction surrounds the area but still fully functional & pleasent
This place is a dump and I love it. It was refreshing being around regular gross people vs the pretentious gross people on the main strip.
Floor had not been vacuumed, chewing tobacco was under the bed. North side of Rush tower faces Freemont, which is so loud that the hotel provides free earplugs.
The greatest thing about the "old/original Vegas Strip"
Old school vibe located on Freemont. The smell of smoke is so strong that I had to walk out to catch my breath.
The shark tank pool slide won me over. Without that, the Golden Nugget would only get three stars because the wifi was not always reliable, and there was no refrigerator and no ice. Our left-overs were ruined. The atmosphere is very relaxed and happy as a casino hotel should be. The guest crowd is very diverse and friendly, The rooms did not smell quite 100% fresh but they were clean and well maintained. The room styles do not say 2016 however.
Stopped in for a quick drink and wasn't disappointed. A worthy stop while at the Fremont Experience.
I am staying here for now on! Downtown is the best!
Went for the buffet as it was advertised as 8 buffets in one. What it ended up being was 1 buffet with 5 different stations. Only seen a server one time, so was only allowed one glass of water. None of the other servers would stop even if we asked. Food was ok.
Great wins but bad rooms. We stayed on the 9th floor and all we heard was kids running around. But to our surprise security came knocking on our door telling us to keep it down.Unreal when we wasn't the problem to begin with. Not to forget we didn't receive the room we paid for.Very basic no fridge, microwave, and face towels. Not impressed for it to be a round trip package room from Expedia that cost over 1k.Food was awesome.NEED MORE FLOOR WAITRESSES.Back to Illinois I go
Room 720 has my now wife and me written all over it with crazy business... shoulda left an autograph on the wall hahahaha
Clean rooms. Helpful staff. Great food. Awesome pool! Fun place to stay.
We love this place! Very inexpensive with nice rooms, awesome ADULT POOL, and great amenities.
Lizzarndra was amazing. Old don, hey pal speed it up. Jaimee, hot af. Thanks for the memories.
Great food, great atmosphere, awesome all around experience.
Good place to stay to be close to a lot of entertainment and street artists. My room was a little dated looking and feeling that is my only true issue. Staff is friendly security and all other workers were very helpful.
We were upgraded to the gold tower and the room was very nice. The overall stay was good. We did not get a chance to go into the pool butor look nice. Real close too Fremont Ave which is nice.
Every thing here is so beautiful and the staff are so nice and helpful.
Different experience then the new strip...must have experienc...really takes you back to old days...good service and payouts on slot machines are better then others...night is best time to visit and enjoy lighting and music
It cost 10.00 to park if your longer then 20 minutes. It took me 20 minutes just to get ro the front door
Love the Nugget, just wish they would get rid of the stupid resort fees. The resort fees are almost as much as the room
They gave us a different room, the one we booked was not available, I saw a bed bug in our room, the door knob in the restrooms was broken but other than that was good.
Just love all they do for their locals...
Never a bad experience...love it here
Awesome hotel, staff is great! Rooms are very clean too
Best experience of our lives. My girlfriend and I got to upgrade to a king bed just two doors down from our original room. Such a great view of the horizon. The pool was great. Service everywhere was wonderful. Fremont street is always where ill stay. We were blown away by the decently priced travel package we got. First time to vegas.... Stayed saturday night until midnight Thursday. Drove to Hollywood and back to vegas on Sunday and spent the rest of the week relaxing and enjoying every thing. We'll definitely be back!
Can't beat $4.99 1/2 lb cheeseburger meals. Delicious!
Nice hotel and staff. love the shark tank pool and slides..
For the money I guess it's kinda worth it. But this place look like it's still in the 90s . Not EVER staying here again
Fairly clean but a little smoky for my taste. Wish they'd had better ventilation.
Super cool place! The rooms were beautiful, the service was awesome, and the waterslide through the aquarium was totally epic!! I would definitely stay there again.
Historic and well remodeled casino located downtown. Amazing suites.
The Strip can suck it! Golden Nugget is our new spot in Vegas. Yes, it is older but that is what makes the rooms charming. Restaurants - TOP NOTCH! The Pool - is a great time, though they need to rethink their music. Very boring. The wait staff made it. Please if you go, make sure you get in Cindy's or Heather's sections poolside. These girls are amazing, fun and down to earth. Odds downtown are much better as well. No walking twenty minutes from casino to casino. Fremont is a show in itself. This review written by a 47y/o woman who preferred Monte Carlo. Not again for a very long time. Cannot wait to get back to the Nugs!
The heavy smell of cigarettes hits you as you open the door. It's a nostalgic throwback to dirty Vegas. Even on a Wednesday night there are numerous lost souls chasing their lucky break around Fremont Street. The selection of restaurants is good here you will not be disappointed. The rising prices of old town makes it less worth it compared to the strip area in many cases.
Never been there and wanted to play online games rather than go to the actual casino!
The new remodelled rooms are gorgeous but the buffet... GARBAGE! $29 for processed food so disappointing!
So clean ang affordable. Very close to downtown and accessible to anywhere. Kind stuff
Decent casino, bar is a reasonable (for Vegas) price, and it has the world's largest golden nugget on display.
Fantastic. Everything was awesome. Employees very courteous and helpful
Renovations are nice. Fremont has a really cool vibe. Drinks are way overpriced considering is not the strip.
Not bad cool place didn't get top see the million dollers second year I've missed it
Great service and food! Also Fremont Street access is convenient. Pool was perfect!
Stiff drinks at decent prices, was happy to see that Claim Jumpers was open 24/7. The food was more than decent and service was friendly. I would definitely return to this casino. Old Town for the win!
Very good to locals with a gift at least once a month. Fridays nights have music shows with original bands from the 60's to the 90's.
Golden Nugget just has that old time Vegas feeling you love! Great gambling. Good music. And it's right at Fremont street! You gotta check this out if your in the area..
Really enjoyed my time there casinos awesome people are friendly had a very very good time
Good rooms. Stupid resort fee. Terrible check in process. Good dining choices. One of the better Downtown places.
We were on our honeymoon and had a sweet. The curtains did not open told us we had to wait for engineers they never showed up. waited again the day and still never showed up. For the amount we paid each night that was unfair. we had room 7 C
Roulette table was ok. $10 min. They did not pay me my full winnings and gave someone else matching chips. I was short changed 10 dollars. Also dealer was distracted a lot and may be the reason she short changed me.
It is my second time staying at the GN, I think it is the best hotel in downtown, definitely recommend for the experience and to compare with the big hotel at the strip, but don't expect it to be like the Wynn or Bellagio. The pool area can be very busy as it is much smaller than the large hotels, and there is a LOT kids too, the aquarium is awesome, with sharks and large fishes. Worth to check out if you are not in a rush.
Great location and nice updated hotel.View was awesome!
One of the BEST hotels I ve stayed at, don t charge no extra fee or anything! Just security deposit but overall cheap as hell & the view is beautiful . The shark tank pool was the best experience I love it
Clean environment. Friendly staff. My friends and I are having a great weekend, thanks!
Just visited the Casino Floor and was very happy with how it smelled and it's state of cleanliness despite the smokers and how many people were there.
There Nuffet is on point as well the excitement of the various games, bars and casino that they have to offer. This is one of the high end casinos downtown Las Vegas. Walking distance to the Fremont Experience. Check it out!
I have stayed here a few time but always stay in the new updated Rush Tower. Loved it. I think if you stay above a certain floor in this Tower you get many extras at no cost., plus a key card that only allows YOU to get to your floor. <3 <3 <3
Great place for a get away. The pool is outstanding. Can use some love in the hallways new paint an in the rooms.
One of the best hotel in the Fermont Street, restaurants and bars were vert good about quality and price
Smokey and congested casino area. But convenient location to downtown .
The rooms in the Carson tower are very nice. The hotel staff, everyone I talk to, is very nice, helpful, pleasant, attentive. Dealers at the Hold em tables are nice, friendly. This is a great downtown hotel and casino.
We had a lot of fun at the Nugget. It's looking a little tired compared to the strip bu that's part of the charm
The Golden Nugget is another must stop when I'm downtown Vegas. Tables are cheap, games are plentiful and the girls still dress with the classy vibe of the og days! Expect to be bombarded with a smoky atmosphere, but drinks are cheap for twice as much!
I recently went to the Golden Nugget on a trip with some friends. We had three hotel rooms booked in one tower. They upgraded my two friends to a different tower, without them requesting it and without a charge. That was fine, but when I asked about being upgraded as well to stay close to my friends, they would only do it if I paid an extra $40 per night. My original room was fine, but I didn t want to be across the hotel from my friends. Vegas is not a place I want to be far away in a different wing of the hotel. In any case, they refused to change me to a room near my friends without me paying an extra $40 per night. I was there for another two nights, so I begrudgingly agreed to it. I have never received such poor service at a hotel. Based on this, I would not return to the Golden Nugget. I ve never stayed off the strip before, and the hotel is decent based on the area, but they are lacking in any sort of common sense customer service.
Our favorite place to stay. Great comps and great payout.
Really enjoyed our stay. If you're not accustomed to cigarette smoke, it's pretty much all that makes up the air in Vegas. Hotel staff was great, room service was great, but our room wasnt cleaned very well. Good enough, but the tile floor was dirty
A great place to stay with all types of ammeneties , the rooms are clean an large. Customer service are friendly and helpful. This place is located on the fremont experience with lots of exciting activities
Every time I go to this hotel it almost they have price increase on their pool, they are not local friendly they do not care about the locals they are focused more on tourist and visitors.
what kind of casino that is built on the locals backs that work tirelessly everyday to ensure that the continuity and the image of that business is superb.
That's the same locals that helped build their casinos the same locals they don't not care about.
What a disgrace for a hotel casino and our great City of Las Vegas Nevada a city of families, and a vision and a hope.
It is a beautiful place. Wonderful staff. It's always clean and the food is delicious! There are bars all along the promanade. It's a very ritzzie laid back place.
If you go to Vegas, you must visit the golden nugget. It smells like old smoke, and has a old Town feel. You win more, and it's actually super cool. I'll likely be staying here next trip rather then on the strip. You'll save money and it's way cooler on freemont.
I always stay at this hotel when visiting Vegas, it's off the strip so not as crowded and has tons of security. Also the hotel is beautiful and the staff is always friendly and helpful!
Great place for a real Las Vegas vacation!! Staff is friendly location very clean. Rooms are spacious and food is great. Right on Fremont Street for an interesting experience
Love the Golden Nugget, location is great off Fremont Street, lots of locations near by to eat, drink, and gamble! The best restaurant in the Casino is the Claim Jumper, it is the most affordable and the food is really good and they give you huge plates! If you visit during the summer go to the pool upstairs!
This hotel has a great pool with friendly staff, but I will never stay here again first off the rooms have no refrigerator, no microwave, no blow dryer and all 4 rooms had rust on the bathtubs this hotel needs to upgrade the rooms and fix the elevators only 2 elevators were working and me and my family of 10 had to take the stairs down 3 times from the 17th floor after waiting 20 to 30 minutes each time for an elevator to go down stairs this is ridiculous
My only wish is that they had a no smoking section, my asthma got pretty bad so we ended up just heading back to the room to watch TV. The beds are very comfy though!!
Good gaming if your not looking to play if you don't have a lot of cash can
It is nice. I thought it was over-crowded and the rooms had very few power sockets. There is the "Cadillac" restaurant inside that is wonderful and they do have a Chik-Filet. I only gave 3 stars because I thought the hotel was not as nice as I expected to be and lots of the reviews were real good.
Pretty darn okay. The claim jumper is the same quality as the buffet. The pool is neat, but small and quite crowded. Be out early if you want a spot. Fair prices for the accommodations, with the exception of the gym. 20 dollars/day/person. That's a load right there. If you want some cardio, the stairwells are adequate.
One of the best places to stay. The room was amazing.
