Really nice location and definitely the best in the downtown area. The lights were fun to watch. Gambling was a little fast for someone with no experience but that's consistent with other casinos.

Located in old Vegas. But had a blast. Clean and pretty quite at night to sleep. Hated there were no in room coffee pots. Forced to pay for starbucks. Or walk to find something else.

Must be crazy to go to the city for anything. I was required to attend a conference and believe me I m never going back. This is a very noisy location right on Fremont mall with partying going on all night

Only gambled here, so I can't speak to the rooms, but the casino smells horribly of smoke. They have some great blackjack tables though that we really enjoyed! And the staff were super friendly.

I haven't stayed the night here yet but I will be on the next visit through in October. I can't wait for that trip. My kids want to swim in the pool. I have played in the casino many times and even parked here. I got a free parking ticket for playing in the casino.

It's a piece of history but a tired piece for sure....and charging for kcup coffee when smaller motels give it to you for free isn't cool. It was clean and for what they charge for a resort fee I was expecting more. Convenient for the Fremont experience because it spills you right into the heart of it all. The Buffet is probably the best feature of this place and the fish tank I'm surprised hasn't been shut down by the SPCA. I'm giving it 5stars for the buffet alone.

Always stop through here with the family! Great restaurants, easy to navigate, and clean. The Hand if Faith nugget is always worth seeing; very impressive. To me though, the best part about this hotel is the swimming pool. There is a clear glass shark tank right in the center of the pool. When you go under water, you can see the fish and sharks right up next to you.

We really enjoyed our stay! We stayed 5 days. Usually we stay more on the south end of the strip. But this was a great change!! I appreciate the 2 bottles of free water delivered to my room every day. You can communicate woththe hotel threw text messaging, that's very convenient. Thanks golden nugget! We were treated great and had an amazing vacation. Maybe we'll be back. Will stay somewhere else Next year but will come back to nugget again..

The Golden Nugget is located on Fremont Street. We visited because it looks amazing from the street.

Next time we visit Las Vegas, this will be our hotel, friendly staff and a great location to just walk out and go shop!

Best place in vegas for Black Jack, one of the only places that still has Single and Double Deck that pays 3-2. 4 Star rating is because my room was way too hot and A/C appeared to not be working. However the room rates are not bad for Fremont!

We stayed here for CES2018, and many other attendees booked in the area. I am not a big gambler, but I found the casino to be where I spent most of my nights for a week. Was disappointed the whole pool area was closed at the time, but it will give me another good reason to try to come back.

Overall I will give them 4 stars but they really failed the first night. So for the positive stuff. The last renovation was done pretty well. So even though it is an older casino it feels much newer and looks nice. The pool area with the shark tank is fantastic! A very cool experience. They have some good restaurants but all If them charge a premium whether deserved or not.

The first night failure. When reserving we paid an extra $40 for the VIP service to make sure we d get what we wanted. Well when we got there the didn t get us adjoining rooms so they offered to waive the charge. Hum, so they gladly take your money and if it conveniently works out, with no extra effort on their part, and you get what you want then your none the wiser. However, if it doesn t conveniently work out they ll just give you your money back. Nice little scam. Then we had the unfortunate meeting with the manager which could have cared less if we were happy or not. She even said to us if I could build you a room I would but I can t so... . She needs to be demoted and stuck in the laundry room where she can t talk to guests. The regular staff were actually trying and much better at customer service. So we had to wait until the second night and move rooms to get what we needed.

This place, along with almost every casino on Fremont, sucks. It's small, low ceilings, smells, and very little variety in slots. We were in and out quicker than we could get a wallet out if the pocket. The Strip casinos are way better than this place.

I recently completed a 4-night stay at this hotel for a work trip.

I was able to book the room online and received a 15% discount code. I arrived about 11:00am Sunday night and was able to check-in quickly and get to my room in the Gold Tower. There was no view to speak of but the room was spacious and seemed clean and well kept with a little bit of wear. That's the key word, seemed.

That night I showered and went straight to bed. When I got back about 6pm my room had been cleaned but the water had not been replaced. I called housekeeping and was told by them and the person delivering it that it had to be requested each day. Okay, so it's included in the resort fee, but I have to ask for it? That's sketchy.

Then I went to use some lotion and saw that it had already been opened and used by a previous guest and was never replaced. I was on my way out so I mentioned this to the front desk, that the toiletries had been used and not replaced and asked for housekeeping to me more thorough. I'm not sure where the loss of communication happened but instead of replacing the toiletries, they brought me like 8 towels and toilet paper and tissue. I mean toiletries and the other items begin with T but that's as close as they got.

I went on with my night and went to work the next day. I returned to find the same used lotion sitting there that still hadn't been replaced. I went down to the front desk again and told them and they had more toiletries sent up. At least they were correct this time. I sent an email to guest services and on their social media and never got a reply.

The next two nights I was just skeeved out by the room because at this point, I had no idea what had actually been cleaned and replaced and what was just "tidied up." It was not a good stay. Not replacing used toiletries is a basic thing hotels should do. It's unprofessional, unhygienic and just gross.

Half the outlets built into the fixtures didn't work and the included wifi is really slow. This is not a hotel suited to business travelers.

I would not stay here again and if you choose to I would highly recommend you check the toiletries, sheets, towels, etc to make sure they haven't been used before.

The location is great, right off the strip. The pool is one of the coolest I've seen. They have a shark tank in the pool, and a waterslide that goes through it. Overall a pretty cool hotel

Great hotel and casino for the Street experience. Not so great for the room amenities. I've stayed in places with gravel parking lots where their cheapest rooms have a mini fridge and coffee maker. The endless hotel corridors gave me flashbacks to The Stanley Parable. I got a blister from walking so much. The hotel needs a fast travel option.

First time staying downtown. Has all the glamour, glitz and fun as the strip except it's a more local experience and not as crazy busy as the strip is. Amazing pool, very convenient location around lots of local downtown bars/restaurant's

Awesome casino with many different food options. Is located in the heart of downtown with access to quite a few stores and shops. Actually won a couple hundred here on slots. All in all a great place to stay in Vegas whether just for the weekend or staying a week

Great Hotel. Good value. But, stay away from the $10 coffee packs, No long distance calls. Buy some used ($1)casino playing cards from the hallway vending machines. Make great gifts for your friends!

The Golden Nugget is one of the nicer "older vegas" hotels. It's been redone and it has has a nice feel. The pool area has an awesome slide the goes through a shark tank and an adults only section. It isn't a bad place to stay with a good rate.

One of Vegas's downtown icon hotels. Because it has been in operation for a long time, it gives off this older personality lacking any the modern feel. This hotel is downtown which is NOT on the famous strip. The strip is about 15 mins away.

The Charthouse is one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas and is located in the Golden Nugget. Love the floor to ceiling aquarium. There are other restaurants there that we have not gone to. There are large shark tanks and many interesting shops. We had drinks at a club there that had live music. It is worth seeing and is in old Las Vegas away from the strip.

Maid had turned in makeup bag from 9116 but had kept our fast charging phone charger!!?? Chick fil a ok but claim jumpers had a knit in our food. Portions too small!! Prices not comparable!! Check in lady didn't explain 55 a night when it was 29 per night, no resort fee, and just room stay tax. 36 room tax!!?? No explanation! Seen better.

I like this hotel & casino, but this is the VERY 1st time I've been to a hotel & there's an ADDITIONAL cost to have a microwave & mini fridge in your room. Motel 6 has that...Thars my ONLY complaint. Beautiful rooms & shops.

Average accommodations. Lots of charges for basic amenities. Time share solicitations. Construction inconveniences. Poor in-room TV. Small buffet. Starbucks coffee shop was dirty every time we visited, it seemed understaffed, baristas seemed overworked and under trained. Table blackjack expensive; starting at $15. Problems in the Carson tower with the room keys opening multiple rooms was unsettling. Staff (Guest Services, Bell Service, floor staff, Housekeepers) were friendly and helpful. Free WiFi. Full nenu from Claim Jumper available for room service. Smoking rooms available (for extra daily fee.) Fun pool area with slide running thru a shark tank/aquarium. Several nice restaurants; two with aquarium views. May bars and night clubs. Lots of gaming.

Classic Las Vegas hotel with a vintage vibe, conveniently located on the Fremont Street Experience in the iconic Old Downtown Las Vegas. It s a fairly large hotel consisting of over 2,000 rooms, so it can take some time to get from one tower to the other, or to the casino. The Carson Tower room I stayed at was fairly spacious, clean, and beds were comfortable. Spa Tower suite is very large and modern, traversing two floors, and a very nice view.
I m not a fan of Starbucks, but there s one on the ground level, along with several other retail shops.
The world s largest gold nugget is on display in the lobby.
There s a shark tank with a waterslide running through it, but that s one thing I didn t like since I don t like seeing captured animals especially for entertainment.
Overall, good value for the money.

Went to gamble. The games were fun, a lot of the newer games were all grouped together so it was easy to go from game to game. The tables were all $10, which is pretty standard. It's always nice to check out the fish tank/pool. It has a water slide tha runs through the tank.

I'm giving 4 stars because I think ultimately it's a nice hotel, but our check in experience was a nightmare. We waited in line for about 1/2 hour at about 2AM. 2 staff on duty & one was hung up with a couple for probably an Hour. He should've called for additional staff instead of leaving us all stranded.

We go here every year for a family reunion, have for over 15yrs, several families come and stay in several rooms. I can't speak for the others but our three room suite was not very clean. There was a dirty robe, the ones provided by the hotel, hanging in the closet, it had been worn and the TV didn't work so we called four times to have it fixed because we had two teenagers with us that couldn't go experience the LV scene, they finally got it fixed our last day there, when they pulled the dresser out the first day to try to fix it it was dirty behind there and they left the dresser out for the whole time we were there, housekeeping never cleaned it, we were there 4 days...I would give them only 1 star for this recent visit but most of the staff we dealt with were very pleasant. I don't normally leave a review like this but I was deeply disappointed after all these years of staying here. :(
