Three stars is the best rating it can get from a non-smoker.
I stop by just because it s one of Vegas s original casinos.
I was disappointed in the amenities in the room, no usb ports and only 3 outlets. Other than that the stay was decent. The hotel has a lot of activities and dining options.
An all time favorite off mine. The best of downtown casinos
I Absolutely Love this HOTEL..Great Bars and Good Vibes
Very disappointed I went to have a nice relaxing time In the pool very sadly I couldn t have it my handicapped son wanted to feel great seeing the fishes on the tank the dream of seeing wonderful things for them is unique but they don t have no control now they could be more organized for the people that is guest could have a priority or at least for handicap people
Beautiful classy Resort beautiful every way you see it I love this place
Definitely an experience. The hotel smells and feels like the mob era - which is a good thing! Daunting at first, you quickly figure out the layout and get a hang of it. Technically, you have all you need and wouldn t have to leave but you gotta check out the Fremont Street Experience just outside.
One drawback is I was given a smoking room saying they didn t have any non-smoking left (at this price) - I wasn t prepared for that. Didn t even know you can still find smoking rooms... needless to say, it was a bit stinky. As a former smoker I made it through but I can t imagine how annoying it would be for a non-smoker.
A great place to get a feel of old Vegas. Love love this place. So much to see and do and to be right on Freemont st just adds to the appeal.
It is dated, no upgrades the wifi is crappy. The carpets need to really be cleaned . no coffee or tea in the rooms. AC in rooms won't stay on in this weather. Some of the slot machines need fixing it will take you money but wont give it back it take a hour for someone to come. I feel like they put us on the welfare side of the building.i been to better. Well better then this..
Noisy, but that s expected for the location. Wonderful rooms, great restaurants, and smiling staff.
Bathrooms were disgusting. No real social distancing. But fun.
Omg I loved it we had a great time. The room was comfy and house keeping kept it clean. The restaurants had great food especially the one down stairs. The hotel is so big and we loved the shark tank outside at the pool area. Bars all over and the casino stay open of course free drinks if your gambling. Lyft is always on board if you need a ride they stay lined up outside. I can go on and on. I loved it
Great location. Walk out of many of the doors onto Fremont Street. Casino was clean and welcoming. Ate at the Chart House and Claim Jumpers restaurants. Food was delicious and the aquarium in CH was a treat. Used the city bus system to go back and forth to the strip. Stop conveniently located at the back of the casino. Cost for a 24 hour pass was about what Uber was for a one way ride.
The Golden Nugget was a great place. We have been there several times for gaming. The vibe is good, the server's are polite and come around often. Although we have never stayed at any of the Fremont St. Hotels, people have said they are not bad.
We stayed 2 night at the Golden Nugget hotel and the averall it was ok. Up on arrival the Bellmen send our luggage to the wrong room (we had 2 rooms) I lost 1hr locating it and 30 min after that it finally got to our rooms. Due to that I was late for meeting. So after all that we had my wife tells me one of the rooms smells like cigarettes and I was furious, I had made cleare at check in 2 rooms to be NONE SMOKING, we did not make much of a deal because we had 2 adjacent rooms and seeing how busy they were I convinced my wife not to go back to front desk and complain and have the kids in the room that did not smell at all. But later I asked where were the smoking rooms and they assured me that they are on 20th. Floor. Ok so someone did smoke in room that was none smoking. First night we had fun at Freemont street and we end up with drinks by the pool. Next day some fun at the pool and I left for one more meeting, got back by the pool and whent for H2O bar to get a few thinks, while waiting I noticed some roches by the lounge seating but did not pay much attention. Second night there was a band playing by the pool and we went later that night there, got some drinks and sat down to enjoy the band, but did not last long, roaches were all over the launge area and for me that was THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG. Next morning we were leaving and I could say whatch your food , when there are roches there is more to it .
So cool to see all the different ways the casinos are decorated. Clean, lots of fun
The Nugget is one of the best in downtown Fremont street
We loved our hotel! Great restaurants and a huge casino. We will defiantly be back!
Awesome hotel and casino too. Equivalent to 5 star hotel properties on the strip.
Busiest poker room down town and a nice selection of games. The restaurant is affordable and the food is solid. The pool is worth checking out for the water slide that goes through the aquarium.
Loved the revisit to the Vegas I remember as a kid. Classic Vegas feel at this place.
This place was great with live music and magic shows. Full of buzzing crowd and great atmosphere!
Had a blast! Plus it's right at the center of all the fun. Seeing all the punks and crusts walk around this week for PRB made my heart swell with joy! Hoping to stay here next year for the event.
Nice place, good service. Pool is open but slide is closed. You have to wait in line to get in the water but overall the service and attention was good.
Excellent customer service! Ryan and Jared went above and beyond to help me locate some missing packages for our critical meeting and personally ensured they were delivered. Those two gentleman were so helpful and friendly, very atypical in that area. Will return based on the wonderful customer service!
One of the original casinos in Vegas. Nice place to visit.
Well I got a massage from the massage girl I believe her name is Mindy V and the young lady ran off with my money I didn't appreciate it my partner plays quite a bit of money in the poker pit and I just, it was unbelievable...
Nice. Clean. And although Freemont is crowded. I felt like it was a nice escape for a older downtown hotel
Casino was beautiful. Food in the grotto (restaurant in casino) was great as well but we were stormed by flys the entire time we were eating and it grossed me out but overall it was ok.
Had a blast here. The gambling was good and I came or ahead. It could use a little updating...
I like this hotel a lot. I've stayed in just about every hotel on the Strip, for business trips, and they are fine but pricey. If you're in Vegas just to be in Vegas, this is a great place to stay. Rooms are large, clean, well-maintained and comfortable, especially the Gold and Rush Tower rooms. They are also about half the price of the better Strip hotels. There are good restaurant options in the hotel itself, and Fremont Street is just out the back door. The one drawback I notice downtown is cigarette smoke -- people smoke in the casinos here more than they do on the Strip -- but other than that, this is an excellent Vegas option. Pro tip: do NOT get a pool-facing room in nice weather or on weekends. The view may be nice but the noise isn't...
It's a great place. I'm a bit sensitive to cigarette smoke. After playing machines at Golden Nugget and some of the other casinos nearby, Golden Nugget had the best air. The staff is wonderful of course.
Very nice layout. Had a great time. Slots could hit a little better.
Good place to stay for the money. Nice to be right on freemont street
Won some money here! Well if you're in Vegas you've got to stop at the Golden Nugget! It's a huge casino with the Fremont street experience. It's a street party every night! Shop, gamble, or people watch, you'll have a great time at the Golden Nugget!
Dirty. There was a candy wrapper on floor of hotel... watched housekeeping step over it. It stayed there 2 days until I picked it up. Rust on bathtub.. and we had upgraded room. Never staying here again.
Nice to go see but nothing more then that !!! Once you go on the strip there's nothing in comparison to it!
The Nugget has fabulous suites and an awesome pool! Nicest rooms downtown. Gambling here has always just been so-so for me, but is my favorite place to stay. Go to the Charthouse for happy hour during the week for delicious apps and drinks.
I don't want to gush over this spot. Smallish sportsbook, but it's nice enoigh. Decent poker room.
The Golden Nugget is the funnest place to stay friendly great customer service great food and very convenient he will love the Golden Nugget
Nice place to gamble my only problem was my friend found it very difficult to find a waitress while he was gambling to order a drink he spent a lot of money there. He should have been taken better care of.
It was all good. Fine place. Great restaurants and free parking for guests. Don't like the resort fee.
Awesome stay at Golden Nugget. We will definitely stay there again!!
Newly Renovated.. This place looks amazing. Loved the Casino and enjoyed the old Las Vegas vibe.
Nice casino will be back again, only complaint is its easy to get lost in here.
One of the better places to visit downtown, check out the shark aquarium!
Went down there for life is beautiful. Awesome location and everyone was supper friendly.
Im not sure why i gave them 5 stars! They took my money! Jk, ill get them next time! Fun place!
We just went to the casino and it was great lots of slots card tables lot of fun
I booked 7 rooms. All were overcharged by $100 each! I had confirmation and quote, and they refused to do anything to fix it. Was also told our rooms would be at least close to one another. All 7 rooms were on different floors. Our room was horrible....peeling wallpaper, and missing toilet parts. They not only lost 1 but 7 future customers!!
Hadn't been on Fremont in many years. I was amazed and pleased with the improvements made. Golden Nugget was great. Loved the slots and won a tiny bit.
Beautiful place to stay in "Old Vegas", which is so much fun! Great casino, drinks, restaurants....they have it all here!
Lots of history, and a cool location. They also have reasonable table minimums.
Love the pool area with the sharks and water slide. Great fun place.
A blast from the past, with all the nostalgia and feels from the days of yesteryear! Had a great time with friends there... and old Fremont St
I love this hotel. Very beautiful with the decor. It has a ice bar. Several places to eat Claim jumper the Cadillac the showroom buffet. The Fremont street experience is great. The pool with the shark tank is awesome. Souvenir store liquor store down the street
My stay in the Rush Tower Suite was absolutely amazing. The hotel was so wonderful, clean, and welcoming. The location is amazing. The bathroom was luxurious and so clean.Golden Nugget is far superior!Customer focused. It is the ONLY casino that will get my future business.
We just spent a horrible night at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. After making a reservation a week before our arrival, we were given a room with a broken bed and a bathroom with only a toilet and a sink, no counter. We asked for another room. We got a room which seemed occupied, the bed was not made properly, the phone was on the bed, candies were on the nightstand. We went back to the registration for the 3rd time to ask again for another room. Finally we got a decent room but we could not sleep, first because of the street noises and because at 4.00am they were cutting palm trees. I am sure the whole place couldn't sleep.
It was not the first time we went to that hotel, but it is the last time.
The food is amazing, the pool has a great atmosphere and aquarium with a slide going through it! We love this place. :)
Made the mistake of staying in the Carson tower. A little run down and my shower wouldn't hardly drain. Took my showers with water above my ankles, even after calls to the front desk. I did like the 2 free bottles of water that most other hotels charge for. The pool is wonderful!!!
Had an amazing meal at the Chart Housr in the hotel. Highly recommend here if you love good food.
Had a great time. Wonderful new rooms. Quiet. Staff was professional and courteous. Staff that kept our rooms intact were wonderful and went above and beyond. I would definitely come back!
When here to play some blackjack with some friends for a bachelor party. Girls showed up as well after an hour or two. Found a table with decent but not good odds and had six men going for an hour and a half straight. Dealer killed us repeatedly and we lost all over money. One guy did get a massage at the table which was nice and drink service was fast at the beginning but then turn to nothing as people started to leave the table. That was a bit disappointing. Lost my money and walked away without a drink unlike the higher-end hotels. Did enjoy myself but left quickly and decided the ride was not worth it all.
Love the improvements. Still making deposits, yet to make a withdrawal.
I like it free Rooms and great rooms and service just need more free money and food
Like everything but there is not near enough lounge chairs by the pool. The reserved area takes up much needed space for more lounge chairs. If you want anywhere to sit you better be there about 8am or your not sitting anywhere but in the water
The room was uncomfortably warm so we knew the filter had to be clogged. We used a coin to open the compartment and found the filter and the vent was so clogged the AC unit couldn't work properly. We pulled out the filter and cold and and dust blew like crazy. Filters probably haven't been changed in many years. It's a cheap fix!
Great suites. Fresh coffee and fruit in the mornings, snacks in the afternoon, at the elevator entry. Nice rooms with comfy beds.
Great rooms! Pay to be VIP it wasn't much more and it's WORTH it with early check in, comfy beds and valet parking alone but there are more perks than that. Great Customer Service to top it all off. This is our new place to stay when in Vegas
Wow, what a place. Very nice hotel and the conference center (where I spent most of my time), was well done. The room was comfortable and clean and maintained as expected every day. If you can afford the higher priced meals, this is an all-inclusive stay. As far as my personal taste goes, I don't care for the location. When I visit Vegas, I prefer the newer parts of town.
Great upgrade on room, however the tub is very high to get into for shower. We are 60 and this is a scary challenge for showers.
Went there to gamble and have brunch. Loved the casino. I felt like it was very fair. We went to a brunch buffet there and it was great. I do recommend the Bloody Mary. We went as they were changing from breakfast to lunch and the was a great time to go after a night out. Didn't try the rooms but might next time.
Loved the hotel and the staff was great. Want to experience Vegas come here. The strip is too commercial...this place was awesome. Buffet is great too
Only went in to get a drink at the bar and check the place out. They do sponsor some of the bands out on the main street stage and that's pretty cool and always entertaining.
Good central location. Nice casino on Fremont street. Helpful staff. Lots of parking free with room. Finicky wifi. No mini bar or coffee maker in our room. Still very good value.
Big room
Very nice buffet.
The have smoking in casino. I have asthma.
So it's good to know.
Staff all very nice , helpful & full of energy.
We love the pool and the restaurant i can't wait to come back!!
Always get my hair cut there, Kathy is great, my go to girl.
