Very nice Hotel and casino spent a couple of hour's in here on the slots also had a look at the huge golden nugget in there display cabinets which was apparently dug up on wasteland or garden at the back of someone's caravan or something along those lines.

This is definitely a locals spot. Doesn t have all the glitz and glam of the strip, but it is great for access to Fremont street, which has gotten a face-lift in recent years. It s a popular place for bar hopping, and isn t as big/expensive as other hotels. The station casinos are great for locals, but they are somewhat isolated from anything else you might want to do. The Gold Coast has both access to the strip as well as an escape from it to the trendy Fremont Street Experience.

You know what you're getting when you come down to old Las Vegas. This place personifies the Las vegas of old. Its VERY popular and finding space at a table will be tricky in peak times, but everyone's having a blast. Avoid if you dislike crowds because there are LOTS of people gambling here .

Sat to visit at one of the bar areas, 12 ft away from everyone, just family, and let me tell you if you take a drink and do not put your mask right back up they will kick you out!! So just a warning for everyone who is not used to having to do that...be prepared.

Upon arrival from my 5 hour flight, I got into my suite only to see that it was under construction in the bathroom. It was a total mess around 415pm at that. After several calls to the front desk and 27 minutes later, they brought us to our new room. I have never stayed in a suite anywhere that doesn't have a fridge. The blow dryer was hidden up in the closet and only 1 trash can in the entire room. This is my 5th stay in Las Vegas and my first disappoint in a hotel. I would consider booking elsehwere , I won't we back.

My friend from Texas called me to invite me to the Golden Nugget for dinner. The dinner at the restaurant was nice, but the way the casino is managing covid-19 during the pandemic was the worst I have seen in any casino in the Las Vegas. They violated most or all of the governor's rules. No temperature checks at doors, no social distancing some wearing masks, people sitting close at gaming tables, casino overcrowded in general. The restaurant itself was following all the rules. However, who wants to walk through a casino where all rules are broken and risk covid to eat at any restaurant no matter how good thefood is. I live here and if I knew how I would report them to the state.

The check-in was a little bit hectic and wait time a little long. Once we checked in, we changed our clothes and spent the entire time at the hotel, casino, and restaurants. We stayed during Thanksgiving weekend and we had such a great time that we probably will return again. Staying at the Freemont square makes even more fun as you can visit all the casinos and restaurants in the area without having to drive or take an Uber. The nightly shows and free concerts make it a memorable stay. I wish I had more time to enjoy this iconic place in Las Vegas.

-- Keep a sharp eye on the local homeless and transient people as they are always trying to get a fast one on you.

Beyond that -- Enjoy the stay and come back often!!

Went in for drinks and played some slots. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The convenience of having video poker right at the bar was nice and the fact that I received a complimentary drink just for playing for a few minutes was even better.

The rooms are nice and clean. They also charge $10. a day to have a coffee pot in your room. Plus extra for coffee. I think that's a bit high. Most of the staff is very nice. But there are also a few really crabby one's. Not my favorite place.

I spent approximately $500 on slots here at the Golden Nugget before I walked over to the renovated bar with the new digital poker games and sat down to play. I was Immediately and politely asked by the first bartender if I intended to play or spend $20 before I could be served beer or cocktail since the casino decided to implement this new rule. I told him it was no problem. Apparently they installed stop and go lights behind the bar for each player. The casino put players on a timer and one cannot be served if their light us RED. I drank a bottle of beer in an appropriate amount of time and was refused another because the light was still red, even though I had so far inserted $60 into the machine. This incident happened at an evening shift change (7/20/17) with the new bartender displaying an indifferent and rude delivery, I got up and cashed out my remaining money and went across to the Fremont. I will not return to the Golden Nugget. The Nugget is making millions upon millions, and now they resort to this greed with extra sauce. My money says Bye Bye Golden Nugget!

I just stopped in to have a quick look around and have some breakfast. The casino seems very nice and clean, but I did not play any games. I walked over to look at the pool area. Due to the early morning hours, it was not open and they were cleaning. But I could see it through the windows and it looks like a wonderful place to spend some time. The Shark Tank in the center of the pool is pretty amazing. I went upstairs to the buffet to have some breakfast. The buffet was very good, I think the price was about $15 which includes your beverage. They had a great variety of options, including an omelet station. I enjoyed the breakfast very much and the service was great.

Great place to stay in Old Town. Very clean with great amenities at a good price. Only bummer was the pool wasn't open very late, and the staff seemed confused on where guests were allowed in the pool area after hours. But overall a very nice place to stay that's right on Fremont!

I left my cellphone it in a machine on July 12 around 7am and the security for lack of wanting to do ANY more work didn't care to want to help and told me to check back around 9am both smirking and chuckling I'm guessing that's when their shifts will be for sure over and didn't bother to tell me that an investigation can be done the security officers next shifts and the following day were more helpful. It takes employees like them two to really bring down a place and want to go back there and my aunt works there too

The service was less than expected... in fact, it was nonexistent. I received more information from the people visiting the establishment than the staff working there. The staff was cold and careless. The hostess just walked right pass and didn't even respond when customers called to get her attention. The design was nice. I didn't stick around very long... the environment, because of the staff employed, wasn't a friendly one.

I booked a room with a king size bed on line on their own website. When we checked in I was told that the only rooms available were two queen beds. After some discussion I was told that the on line description is only a request. It sounds more like bait and switch. Also the reservation person at the check in desk acted as thought she could care less. Take it or leave it. Also, their is no coffee pot in the room, every morning you must get dressed and go down to the Starbucks in the lobby and spend $3.00 for a cup of coffee. I will look for somewhere else next time. Also the resort fees (tax) is getting out of control. Vegas wants to build a stadium for the Raiders football team on the backs of tourists. Think about that next time you visit and see a $30.00 per day resort fee (tax) on your bill.

I've never stayed here, but do gamble every time we are in Vegas. Plus, they have the only two Starbucks in that part of Downtown. Machines need to pay better, but at least they do try to keep up on new machines.

Worst experience at a hotel ever. I was attending a national conference for work and got the worst run around by the front desk. They had our payment info but lost some stupid form they needed that we had sent a month prior. Forced several co-workers to put their own money up front, and when the hotel's mistake was brought to light they didn't even offer an apology, or attempt to make things right.

However, the Golden Nugget maid staff were awesome, friendly, and helpful and I feel sad they are lumped in with this dud of a resort.

I have never stayed at this hotel before, however whenever I go to Vegas this is one of my go to casinos. Being right next to the Fremont experience makes it easy to cycle between that and the great variety of gambling on the floor. Surprisingly many hotel/casinos don't have poker tables but the Golden Nugget does. Very nice and hospitable dealers, I would recommend checking out this casino.

Beautiful inside, pool has a slide that goes right through the aquarium,. It also looks like they remodeled since my last time there. Both Starbucks were closed and since we were up late watching some the performers outside, that would have been a great way to top off the evening.

We stayed in the golden tower, room is very clean and large. The hotel is right on Fremont Street so it can get loud. They give free earplugs but we didn't need them. It was only loud earlier in the night. Casino is large and there's a pool, however if can get pretty crowded. Overall, enjoyed our stay. It's a different feel to stay in downtown, it's cheaper and can still enjoy the strip with a pretty quick taxi ride.

Definitely better than what I expected from old Vegas. Drinks were fairly priced and staff was courteous. Of course things are in need of updating but nothing major that I could see. I did not go inside any of the rooms. The pool also looks pretty neat. I would definitely go back.

This place is HUGE! We just walked thru it on our casino tour. Its easy to get turned around in this place. We got a players club card but did not bother playing any of the slots. Not very good incentives. The tables may have been better but we don't play those. Seeing the large chunk of gold they have on display was neat.

Downtown hotel that's clean with friendly staff. They have a nice outdoor pool but not in use since it's Winter time. Big giant aquarium surrounds the waterslide, looks pretty neat. It's right in the center of the Fremont experience so incredibly walkable from one casino to the next.

I was not an overnight hotel guest at this location, but I gambled and met some great ppl while there. The atmosphere is what I think you'd expect for Las Vegas; the dealers (black jack) were very entertaining and gave us a night to remember.
