Ahhhhhh Old town Las Vegas. What can I say???
Well, to start off with. Ever lost your phone, lost your wallet, annnnnd run out of gas in your vehicle? Don't do it, and think you are going to get any help or sympathy from these folks. No one wants to let you use a phone. Not even at the hotel front desk! I didn't have much luck at any of the casinos there actually.
Ironically, a homeless gentlemen let me use his... 3 days later. Thanks Vegas, And Golden Nugget... For Nada

Rooms are nice. Food and beverage options are good. We ate at the Claim Jumper a couple times. Valet was very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Had dinner at The Charter House with my husband and out of town guest. Atmosphere was pleasant and the meal was wonderful. I had grilled salmon with fried rice and green beans. I can't wait to go back.

I've felt horrible many days working in this area they hate me some times and no one wants to take me to the hotel with them or date me. I feel like all the time. Plus left out the night time fun so I just sit to myself. the raido plays sick music and and people are always saying ()and doing hateful things had so much fun and excitement just from hanging out in front of this place. Not to mention the fun held inside this beautiful resort & casino I wonce took one of my favorite snacks up their and shoved the rap snacks lil yatchy Chip bag in the casino camera. LMAO had so much fun their can't wait to go back.

Great old time casino. You feel like you're walking into a old Sinatra movie

Nice place to visit but too expensive to eat at the buffet $18 a plate for breakfast and a little stiff for me anyway

Very nice hotel, the staff are helpful and friendly rooms clean so much to do staying at the golden nugget. You can swim or go rate on Fremont Street and have an amazing time we had a wonderful time in Vegas when we go back we are definitely staying at the Golden nugget

I had my phone stolen while sitting at a slot machine. It took security over an hour to respond. I knew within A 5 minute window when it was lifted and they claimed that the security footage could not be reviewed until a manager was on duty. They lobbied me not to file a police report. And 3 days later as we are checking out they Stillwater giving me excuses. Problem is one of my life long friends has and still works in The casino security business, said if the casino had 500 in chips stolen off of a table they would have been on the video tape in less than 5 minutes.

Golden Nuggets gets worse everytime I go there. Now they won't even server you drinks when your playing video poker at the bar, unless you're playing a certain amount for a certain length of time. Their machines are real tight too. Years ago, it used to be my favorite. But not any more.

Walked in and a waitress taps me on shoulder to say I dropped something. I picked it up and to my surprise it was a $150.00 cash out ticket. I ran and got that. Yeah. Best thing about the whole Vegas trip.

Beautiful hotel, love the fish tanks wish we could of had better view, was closed off. Clean room, loved the upgraded room with additional room and couch.

Had such a great time!! And it's right on Fremont.

Nothing bad to say. All around pretty fun. Nice rooms, decent food, solid service. Parking is okay at best.

I won $27 from the $.25 slots. Better than what I could have done on the strip. Old Vegas is the way to go.

The room had feet prints on the ceiling, a black fry under the edge of the bed, a/c was blowing out dust & it smelled musty...

Been here 1 day and so far it's cool. The front desk staff is really friendly and rhey are located behind the High Roller which can be walked to. They we able to get us in a room 90 minutes early. The room is awesome. This is a one bedroom. Can sleep 4 (2 on sofa bed) but no bathroom privacy from bedroom. The Marketplace has the essentials and don't seem too marked up. The bar and grill food is actually good, especially the fries, but some servers could do better in terms of customer service (one in particular). Several pool areas but the later it gets, someone needs to empty the trash cans so folks aren't leaving empty food containers and drinks just around the pool or on tables.

It had been years (over 10) since I had been inside the Nugget. Wish they could get better air filtration as the smoke was aweful even in the Non Smoing areas. Had a great time playing and machines were fun.

Rooms are great, but our shower/tub did not drain well. Standing ankle deep in dirty water from your hotel mates while trying to get clean is disgusting. Also upon check out we waited over 30 mins for a bellman to come help us with our luggage. Other than those issues, it was a great stay. Great Location, close to food, music and shopping.

Nice Hotel for the Vegas downtown area. The Steakhouse here is incredibly good.

The food from the buffet was very good...and excellent service

Nice air conditioning and restaurants. Great slots from 1 and 5 cent and up. Usually get some bonuses so sign up for players card.

Check in took 1 &1/2 hrs. We were there at check in time. Line was super long and room wasnt ready. Otherwise room was great. Food awesome. Had seafood tower at Chart House and filet mignon at Vic & Anthony's

Rooms were clean. Food options was decent. Prices are reasonable. The downtown environment is more fun than the strip, in my opinion.

Really nice rooms great service and good places to eat while staying there and the pool was a blast.

Love it here!! Been a regular guest for the last 6 years!! It's not the most modern hotel in Vegas but it has that typical "Classic Vegas atmosphere"!
The pool is awesome, a oases in crowdy Vegas!! And Fremont street... Nothing beats Fremont... ;)

A great place with affordable tables to learn a new game. The dealers are helpful when my husband and I are learning a new table game. They have good dining as well! The street is a riot after dark, pretty neat.

So beautiful! I enjoyed the casino here more than any other.

Was very disappointed that the room we have doesn't have a microwave or mini fridge. I thought those were standard for hotels. Can't heat up left overs, or keep cold drinks.

The room was huge compared to standard hotel . It's also my first time in vegas, so everything seems impressive.

Always a great place to hit while in Vegas. Hit or miss on Casino winnings. Love the pizza and happy hour at the Italian Resturant and bar.

Great traffic, lots of machines, I haven't hit jackpot yet but been lucky more than a few times. Golden nugget is the first and last place I hit up whenever I go to Freemont

I only went inside to look at the casino, then went outside to Fremont street. Lota of fun! Noisy, so be aware.

The golden nugget was very fun and had very great attractions and very outstanding restaurants where the food was delicious. The staff there were very welcoming and friendly. The gaming machines were worth the price. The overall experience was just amazing.

A classic. Pretty much what you would expect. Crowds get a little roudy at night.

Decent hotel which have been renovated it but not my favorite one in Las Vegas.
The pool is nice , with the aquarium , but small compare to other locations on the Las Vegas Blvd.
The restaurants are ok , nothing spectacular , and I enjoyed the Red Sushi.The Grotto is just mediocre to say the least.
Rooms are decent for the price but spend 20 dollars more which would get you a better room.
I like that Parking is still free but you would pay a resort fee that is still a mystery for me what it covers (pool , two bottles of free water and internet , seems like)
As I say , if you re going to stay in Fremont Street , this Casino or El Cortez would be a good options , but I prefer El Cortez or The D over this one.

Fantastic atmosphere, service, and food. Room was very clean and beds were cozy. Try the Blackened shrimp tacos at the Mexican grill. Yum!!

Very busy but beautiful hotel. Unfortunately my mom fell at the pool due to not having access to a handrail because people were sitting on the steps.

This place is always a great time in Downtown Las Vegas. Our room was amazing in the Rush Tower. My wife and son enjoyed the pool area the while time. Buffet was great for the price. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I remember seeing this hotel in the movie Wild Card (2014) starring Jason Statham.

Good place to stay and casino is on the same spot! No need to get out all.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room at the golden nugget. We stayed in August and it was really hot. The service was good, we felt comfortable in our room and around the hotel. The water situation was frustrating as they only offer you two water bottles and charge you $3 for another one. The general area where the golden nugget is is great but it does get a bit crazy at night, leaving a couple stragglers out in the morning. We re 21 and 27years old and I would suggest staying on the new strip in Vegas but the nugget itself is great.

Hotel room was very nice. Bathroom was gorgeous, bed was super comfy, and loved the couch! Only downfall is there is not a refrigerator in the room. Also, be aware of hotel resort fees, it's like paying for the room for another night.

Room was very nice. Only complaint is there weren't many outlets... In the world is good to have more than just a couple on the entire room. Other than that it was very nice and the staff was great

Stayed in the Carson tower. It's nicer since the revamp (stayed back in early 2000s) but the casino and extras have been greatly improved. Enjoyed my time in Fremont.

Quite busy and active. Looked fairly clean and not too smokey

Clean comfortable room, plenty of casino action, variety of restaurants. A good choice in downtown Las Vegas.

I had to be in Vegas for work and did an evening at Golden Nugget. It probably deserves a better rating than I have given it because it was like all the others. It would have impressed me more if they held on to the nostalgia rather than making like all the others. It is a classic place but they made it cookie cutter in my opinion.

Chart House Restaurant for Lunch, Happy Hour, and Dinner.

Reasonable prices with view of Fish Aquarium at not extra charge.

Try Beet Salad or a pasta dish. Pasta with Prawns is great choice.

Happy hour may be the best deal with limited seating, arrive early to be seated.

Feeding fish not allowed

Staff is amazing. Bed was comfy and room was clean enough.
The pool is full of baby diapers and the adult pool is closed. Mega bummer.

Great place to stay! Being on Fremont street is awesome. Room was clean, great view from our Carson tower room. Helpful staff!

The classic Vegas hotel. Love their 1-2 uncapped game.

Ridicules getting to your room carson tower. 3 elevators working, no other access to get to your room. Huge lines.

Iconic old Vegas hotel, beautiful shark tank. Did not stay there but took in the buffet. Worth the money we ate like kings and the food was excellent

The Golden Nugget is really neat. Love seeing a glimpse of old Vegas.

What an amazing place to visit when in Las Vegas, to see a very large golden nugget. Also has an aquarium solarium and casino.

Great hotel especially for the money! Thank you for hosting the RC car races this weekend! Newly remolded Rooms were awesome and pleasant to be in, beds were comfy!! Thank you again see you next year or maybe even sooner!

Cool older casino on Fremont Street with edible CHEAP food late at night.

We loved our stay here at the classic Golden Nugget! Right on Fremont Street so entertainment is always nearby. Room service is top notch! Best pool in Vegas, with an aquarium, and a water slide right through it!

Fremont Street Vegas. Very loud, reeks of cigarettes.

My bartender finally took my order after waiting a solid 10 minutes. I tip generously almost always. Once he saw that....my drinks were flowing.

Loved this gem in the downtown part of Vegas! Had never been here before and will definitely return. Had a lot of fun playing here, very friendly dealers who were also very helpful. Reminds me of days gone by...yet still luxurious and clean!

Cheap nice rooms with easy access to Fremont Street. Make sure to stay on the opposite side for quite rooms.

Classic Vegas at its best.... not as kid friendly as they say on Fremont though... I would say kids are good during the day

Best hotel on Fremont with a great pool. Great location in the middle of Fremont and rooms are pretty good. Long wait times to check-in and very poor bellhop service are disappointing however.

Don't come here if you have children. SO not kid friendly whatsoever! Rude manager at Cadillac Restaurant who called my 7 YO a baby and tried not to serve me. The pool is also a joke with kids! Can't order anything without being rudely told you can't have kids and order a drink! We had a terrible time and were treated like we did something wrong by bringing out children on vacation.

Food was good, service was fine, not a big selection

I was walking by and decided to gamble here. It is slightly older and I didn't really like the cigar and cigarette smell but it's Vegas so it's common. I did win some money so that was nice. I would come back to play some more.

Pretty good hotel with a great stay and staff not to mention the casino is really nice not to big though.

Favorite place to stay in Vegas. Love the ease of Fremont Street. Hope things don't change down here to make it unaffordable like the strip! Photo is of our Gold Tower room.

My bathroom shower was dirty and wish the buffet was bigger. They give you "FREE" BUFFET COUPONS but was charged for the buffet Sunday afternoon.

Beautiful hotel, very helpful and pleasant staff, lots of restaurants and amenities. I would highly recommended and will go back to this hotel when i go back to Vegas
