Golden Eagle Log Homes Review

We have visited this establishment twice, once unannounced. Both times we were greeted with professionalism. We recently attended their semi-annual home show. It was very impressive - we gained so much from attending! The mini-seminars were educational and interesting, the lunch was delicious and generous, and the home tours were so fun and inspiring! The entire event was so well organized! It is obvious Golden Eagle is motivated to educate, satisfy and involve their clients in building quality dream homes!

Golden Eagle was a dream to work with! From start to finish. We did tremendous research and decided on GE. Our sales rep Jon Wendt went above and beyond every day for us. There is no detail too small when GE is in charge of your dream house! We were afraid that we couldn't afford a log home but working with Jon he figured everything out from start to finish. We couldn't be happier! Additionally GE recommendation of Matt Clarke from Clarke Building in NH built our dream. Both Matt and GE worked together as an amazing team!!!! If you are looking for a amazing Log Home Company GE is second to none! If you want a great builder who pours his heart and soul into project Matt Clarke is the best!

The seminar we attended on Saturday was very informative. It gave us a lot of food for thought, as we move slowly closer to deciding on our floor plan. We have lots of work to do before we can even think about getting started, but we will get started eventually. We feel your company is the way we want to go when we do build.
The food was excellent, and we thank Mrs Wiggins for it.
The 2 model homes were beautiful and also gave us some ideas, especially the windmill ceiling fans.
The seminars were helpful and interesting. The demonstrations were also interesting, geared toward log homes, while we're interested in a timber frame style hybrid home, but it's nice to see the attending to detail given to things like corners and window installation. The showroom is amazing. If you can't find something you like there, it's probably not available. We lIked the way Jan showed willingness to make any changes we were considering.

Based on previous research, we were relatively certain that we were going with Golden Eagle Log and Timber Homes. After our visit to their facility, and visiting with Jan...there is no doubt. We expect to finalize a purchase in the next year-or-two. The customer service, and quality of workmanship is--in my opinion--unsurpassed in this industry.

I really enjoyed and learned a lot from the tours that had demonstrations or an actual item to look at. The speaking seminars were good for the items that you couldn't see or touch. However, you have a wonderful showroom that, I think, could've been utilized with actual show and tell. Example the wood wall in the bathroom hallway, the doors, the cabinets, and fixtures. It's nice to see a brand name on a screen, but it would've been more interesting to actually look at the items.

Our journey started by meeting Jeff Heeg at the Lake Home & Cabin Show in Madison, WI in January 2018. We were negotiating for an 80 acre wooded parcel near Norwalk WI that included a 25 acre pond. Among the exhibitors at the show, GE stood out because of the quality of workmanship and the ability to offer a turnkey building process.

By May 2018, we had closed on the land, signed a contract with GE and found a general contractor who is very familiar with the GE product and process. The design process was challenging for our family of six (grandparents, son, daughter-in-law and two granddaughters), but made easier and fun by choosing most options at the GE headquarters near Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Your staff was very helpful by listening closely to our ideas and then making suggestions to accomplish our goals. The final floor plans were detailed and specific enough to guide all sub-contractors in their roles.

One of the highlights of our cabin was the customized carving on the central beam, you offered as an option early in the design phase. We were able to work with the professional wood carver, who performed his art on the 10 x10 log before it was installed in the structure.

Materials were delivered in a timely fashion. We had no major issues with the quality of the whole logs and other building supplies for our 1874 s.f. cabin, including a loft and a full drive-under basement. Our only issue was the delivery and installation of the wrong loft railing. GE replaced this railing and covered the extra cost of our general contractor s labor.

The Murphy family would highly recommend Jeff Heeg and Golden Eagle to other families considering a log or timber home. In both quality of workmanship and professionalism of staff, they are unsurpassed.

This was a fantastic experience. I don't know if they give public tours but it would be an experience just to see what the industry is all about. Jeff Heeg guided us through the property detailing every phase of the operation plus 4 hrs discussing design plans and pricing. And it didn't cost a cent! Fantastic company.

Jeff did a great job of describing all the options available for new log home construction. The choices are overwhelming and Jeff made the process simple! Highly recommend visiting the showroom and model home.

Recently my wife and I traveled to the Golden Eagle facility in Wisconsin Rapids. There we were introduced to Jeff Heeg, who patiently walked us through their model home and an incredible log home supply center. Jeff showed us an endless line of log home products but also covered the many types and processes of log wall options they offer. When we left we were overwhelmed but convinced that we would look no further for other suppliers of log or timber home products. I would strongly recommend making the trip to Golden eagle log homes, there was so much more than any Log and timber home show we have ever attended.

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Golden Eagle Log Homes! The hospitality was great and the tour of the facility was very educational and informative. This will be my second Golden Eagle Log home and I still believe they are the best! We loved the endless list of options from the style of logs to the faucets and cabinets. We highly recommend visiting in person, as it shows everything from the logs in the raw, to a beautifully built model home showing many different options. It is well worth the visit! We were lucky enough to walk in and were able to step into a cancellation, so Jeff was free to give us a full tour. Our next visit will be the Log and Timber Home Show on September 21st. We are excited!

We received expert technical and creative advice regarding our log cabin plans. It is an opportunity to educate yourself and see in person the colors and materials that you are selecting, as well as receive professional advice. We walked through the door to be nosey about 3 years ago. Jan welcomed us in and took us on a tour. From that point on we knew one day we could build our dream home. My wife and I are in the very beginning stages of planning our "Dream Retirement Home". We attended Golden Eagle Log & Timber Home's, show at their facility, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, on May 4, 2019. There was so much to see and learn. Zach, a third generation owner of the company, was incredibly helpful in answering all our questions. One of the homes we toured that day was Zach's new custom timber home. It is beautiful, and thank you Zach, for letting all of us into your home. So we really wanted to go through this company for our new home. We have the property picked out and everything. Their website states 49 states and Canada but not overseas(meaning the only state that they don't sell to should be Hawaii) but no, we contacted this company via email and were told they do NOT in fact sell to California either but with no reasons why and when we tried to ask they never responded.

If you are considering and pondering a visit to view the facilities and meet the staff at Golden Eagle Log Homes -- don't ponder or postpone the visit.any longer. The time and effort you put into visiting Golden Eagle is extremely rewarded with the information and knowledge you will receive during the visit.

Recently attended the open house. When we build our log home (soon) we will definitely choose GELTH for our build.

If your Canadian don't waist your time. Beautiful homes innovative ideas, But when they quoted me 15,000.00 per delivery 550miles x 3-4 deliveries 15.00 per mile $45,000 to $60,000, then when I pushed for a ball park price on a simple 1008sq ft. box shape house with a completely open loft no dormers material only it was $240,000 US about 75,000 more than comparable homes on there web site price list. Since I've had 3 other price quotes on similar pkgs they were considerably less. I was really pumped about golden eagle, I just don't think they want to sell into Canada and chased me away.

Very nice, clean and well organized facility. All options for construction are laid out well for all to see. Tour was informative and detailed. Would recommend highly.

My wife and I have been planning a log home for the last 20 years! We finally decided it was time to take the next step to making our dream a reality. After many hours on the internet searching plans, watching videos and researching different companies, We decided to go visit Golden Eagle Log Homes in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. We are so glad we did! This was a 690 mile trip one way and was worth the drive! We was greeted at the front door of their show home with our names on a sign welcoming us.(Nice touch) We met with our home consultant Jon W, who took us on a tour of their show home and then their Planning SUPER STORE! This place is amazing, you can pick out everything from Log size, stain color, Rock styles/color, bathroom fixtures etc It makes all the difference when you can actually see/feel the choices you are making and not relying on a picture from a magazine!! We are currently working with Jon (Thanks Jon!) to design our dream home and hope to start building later this year! If you are up in the air about making the trip, don t hesitate, you won t be disappointed!

The three days spent at Golden Eagle Log Homes was very helpful as we begin our journey toward our dream home. Jeff spent 3 hours one-on-one with us which was greatly appreciated. What I like is that Golden Eagle cares about the environment and works with forestry to select trees -- they don't clear cut and they plant 3 trees for every one tree they harvest. That's important to me!

As an electrical contractor my firm has wired numerous Golden Eagle log homes. We find the Golden Eagle loge home to be well designed and very easy to wire compared to other log homes.
When I built my cottage I decided to by build a Golden Eagle log home. My wife and I love it and now am looking forward to retiring to that home.

These homes are gorgeous. I called the sales center to tell them they should have their own YouTube channel because these ads are HGTV show quality. Afterward, I realized that they do have a YouTube channel that is HGTV-worthy. He must have been too polite to correct me. You can tell everything going on here from the build to the ads are extremely high-end / high-quality. This company and their media team is going far. They are setting new standards in this market.
