My wife and I have been planning a log home for the last 20 years! We finally decided it was time to take the next step to making our dream a reality. After many hours on the internet searching plans, watching videos and researching different companies, We decided to go visit Golden Eagle Log Homes in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. We are so glad we did! This was a 690 mile trip one way and was worth the drive! We was greeted at the front door of their show home with our names on a sign welcoming us.(Nice touch) We met with our home consultant Jon W, who took us on a tour of their show home and then their Planning SUPER STORE! This place is amazing, you can pick out everything from Log size, stain color, Rock styles/color, bathroom fixtures etc It makes all the difference when you can actually see/feel the choices you are making and not relying on a picture from a magazine!! We are currently working with Jon (Thanks Jon!) to design our dream home and hope to start building later this year! If you are up in the air about making the trip, don t hesitate, you won t be disappointed!
