Lots of fun in these place!! Great to hang out on Friday and Saturday. Music is good!

Over crowded...waited for ever to be served at the bar. Space to small for the amount of people that is pushed in.

Came here for a friend's birthday. First time being here at night though. Service good as last time. Food amazing. Steaks on special but one of the best I ever had. No bullshit.

Attended a function at the venue with a private section outside on the balcony. The service and quality of the food was fantastic, the staff went out of their way to ensure the evening went well.

It s a cool place to drink and eat some local dishes. One of the few places where you can eat after midnight. Loud music can make you dance. Try the wines and finger foods

I absolutely loved The Village Idiot. It's very well located, it has a great view, the food is amazing and cheap. The service is excellent too. In addition to being attractive, the waiters are helpful and kind. Congratulations!

Staff are friendly, and the patrons are what make thus place. Good young crowd. 45 bucks a beer is quite steep... Maybe I am just poor.

A nice place to a a few beers (or what ever takes your fancy). The food is not too bad either. Gets rather full and noisy after +- 9pm, but it is a bar after all ;) Cons: finding a parking space is a pain in the @ss

Good beer and great vibe! Definitely give the Boerewors burger a go, it's delicious!

Great venue and it's possible to get food. The dance floor is however a bit small.

They've got great Whisky sours and the waiters are very attentive. Great place for a drink after dinner!

Nice place, very well arranged interior and high quality facilities all round. The Village Idiot is essentially Sgt. Peppers for a more "mature" audience. Identical crowds and music (so radio music). Not a bad time by any means, but overtly generic and vanilla.
3 stars.

Really a village of fools, staff can't understand customers

They get 5 stars just because they were the only place still open after the ed Sheeran show on a Wednesday night to get a quick thirst quencher.

Amazing vibe and amazing food. Everything is a little on the pricier side but definitely worth it.

I always have a great time there playing pool and chilling with friends.

Definitely not the type of place I like to go - very rowdy and noisy with not many quiet areas to sit and have a calm conversation with a friend. If you re into noisy, busy, packed places, where you have to scream at your friend so they can hear what you re saying, then this is the place for you!

A really great place. Unfortunately there are pickpockets permanently placed outside. The bouncers, security, and I imagine management of the place are all on the payroll. I really recommend going if you plan on losing your cell phone.

The bar is good but I don't like the bouncers at the door. A bit over zealous.

So I took my girlfriend there on Tuesday because I was told that it was a very interesting bar/restaurant. We decided to go later at the listed times said they closed at 2am. We arrived at 11:30 and the bouncer said they had a few people inside and we're not letting anyone else in. So cannot provide commentary on the bar experience, but not a good first impression.

Ordered tequila shots last night, and found them to be severely watered down. The bartender tasted it herself and confirmed as much, and found some un-watered down tequila elsewhere at the BAR. Shocking.

I loved the service. The place is nice and chilled for drinks with friends.

Great dance music , festive and have a big party with a bunch of friends. Local hangout so if you're a tourist be sure to check this venue out. Money spend per person can be from $12 for 3 drinks easily or local beers.

Good vibes the moment you step into this place. Service was great. Waiters always on point and very friendly. Music was amazing. Food was great. Absolutely enjoyed every moment spent there :)

Was a great experiance. Vibe is of a farm camp or sumthing you will find in a farm house mixed with modern era. Leather and wood is prominent. They have weekly specials which are great. I am here on a Wednesday and had the bottomless wings. It was great. But flavor and quality changes from plate to plate. This should be more rounded and the same. Some staff are excelent but no one smiles much which gives off a sertain sadness as if morale is low. Still verry pleased at the experiance and decor. I feel like portions are value for money except desert. Its a good looking store

Went there for a staff lunch. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Great selection of typical South African food and even the vegan dishes were delicious.

Great meal enjoyed with a foreign visitor. Very enjoyable.

Cool bar on long street. Really nice outdoor are on the first floor that goes around the building. Worth a stop for a few drinks.

The food and service was a little slow but it was late on a Friday night so understandable. We had various bits of the braai and seafood which were good, and the bunny chow which was very good and massive!

We also didnt quite get what we ordered, but they sorted it out quickly.

Hip restaurant/ pub. Attentive staff and a great place for a casual night out. Dress is casual but no vests or flip flops allowed.

Wow! incredible staff, awesome beer and vibe and the best chicken wings I've ever had. Definitely a place i will always go back to.

Very wide and spacious restaurant. Inside and outside seating arrangement aswell as bar seating. At night turns into a club vibe, free entry, good vibes and decent size dance floor. Drinks are quite pricey but place is always buzzing on the weekend and closes around 04:00 in the morning. Haven't tried the food as normally only go there for a little dance

Great selection of beers and drinks. Very cool interior and vibe. Good music and balcony. Tends to be very busy but I you don t mind waiting a few minutes it s worth it.

Super cool ostrich behind the bar. Even though it was a quiet evening, the waiter went out of his way to make it interesting. Nice ambiance with the fireplace and high cafe style tables and chairs. Heard from locals that it's the place to be be on the weekend so would probably like to visit again when back in CT.

Trendy bar. Food to help out. Otherwise music at donf all the time. So if you re young and you don t have damaged eardrums yet it s ok. Otherwise go your way

We only came here for dessert. These were not tasty and it was also expensive. It looks nice.
