An old English hotel in a convenient location.

An old English hotel in a convenient location.
Nice garden to take a walk before bed.
Courteous and smiling staff.
There is a beautiful working fireplace in the lobby.
Nice kitchen.
I was pleasantly pleased that ours work in the hotel !!! Communicated only in Russian. Be there, say hello to them from Muscovites
Now about the sad: - the hotel is large, and the rooms are scanty. We have a toilet more than a room for 30,000 rubles a day. A gorgeous view of the Thames, the Ferris wheel and the garden, panoramic windows with a balcony and a scanty bed, where even two are cramped, let alone with a small child .... In general, we slept in turns.
It blows wildly from the windows.
But, this is all half of the trouble, the most interesting thing will await you upon departure, when a deposit of 3,000 pounds and payment for the number and God knows what will be written off from your card! And then, you will have fun for a very long time, within a month, it is nice to deal with them and your bank.
Will not be remembered for long - I promise you!

Elegant hotel very close to main attractions. We stayed in the tower suite which was incredible. However, their tv only had a few channels and their room service food quality was absolutely horrible.

Overall 5 stars for the hotel quality and location.

We booked the King Duluxe room. Very spacious and neatly presented rooms. Fantastic service when arriving. The doorman was amazing and insisted on looking after the luggage! Very professional and inviting. Check in was also very smooth and easy. Made the end of a long day travelling very worth coming here.

I had heard many wonderful reviews and was very much looking forward to high tea. My friend and I have food allergies so we made a reservation and included the allergy information. when we arrived the staff were aware of our allergies but did not understand that they needed to assure us which food we could eat. It took one hour for them to find someone (thank you Evelyn) who could be the messenger between us and the chef. Evelyn worked hard to make a bad situation better. But we still left disappointed. The gluten free was dry and not as nice as it can be. When I make a reservation , I believe the restaurant has a duty to understand and meet the guests needs. Sorry royal horseguards, I won't return and I will not recommend you.

The royal guards performance is spectacular. The way that the Guardsmen listen to the orders of the main guardsman is very interesting. It is done in the open air in the courts of the museum. Also, an army fellow is approached, and is included in the Spectacle. It happens on the hour, so the one that is sorted plays at 14hrs. It lasts for approximately 2 minutes.

I came for dinner with three friends to celebrate a very special birthday at the resturant 1212. When we arived we were seated and made to feel like royalty. The chef Mr Purton came out to see us several times and was fantastic to talk to. The food was totally amazing and we all left having felt we had shared a really very special evening. This was all in the middle of a the tube srtike but we weren't rushed or made to feel hurried.
Jordan looked after all our wine requirements and the whole evening was just wonderful. We can't thank Mr Purton and his team enough. What a wonderful kitchen he runs! And what stunning food.

Great location and fantastic large room with views out onto the river.
Check in and check out were swift and efficient
Didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on that and as we only stayed one night the only staff we dealt with were when checking in and out. Very professional.

I am really satisfied with my stay here. They gave me nice and comfy room plus their services and staffs are super nice. This place is one decent hotel. I only stayed here once but I still can say that this is a decent hotel to stay with. Good service, good customer service, nice place. I really enjoyed my stay.

Close to the station, it was a convenient location to go anywhere. The hotel was very calm and the staff were very kind. Amenity was also substantial. It is a facility that I felt I wanted to use again.

We have a severe "nor'easter" on the east coast of the United States. I had to change my flight because of it and cancel my first night of a 4 night reservation at the Royal Horseguards hotel. When I cancelled my reservation for that night and asked the hotel if they could issue a refund in light of the situation I had no control over - they responded by saying no - it was against their policy. In my opinion this is an exhibition of immoral business ethics and says a lot about the company.

UPDATED: My experience with this hotel was very poor for the following additional reasons.

1. There was only one outlet in my room that did not work. They provided an adapter to the other one. However this only allows charging one device from one place at a time.

3. A fire drill occurred during my stay during the single time I was catching up on sleep. I understand that these things happen - but I received no apology from the hotel.

4. Wifi was absolutely horrible. Not only does it go out every half hour completely without you knowing (you have to turn wifi off and then turn back on) - it also was incredibly slow.

This is all from my stay in the executive river view room. Absolutely not worth the money.

Just had dinner at the 'One Twenty One Two' restaurant in the hotel. The name is meant to be a play on the (very) old Scotland Yard telephone number of 'Whitehall 1212'. However it doesn't work because no-one used the words 'One Twenty One Two', it was always 'One Two One Two'. Notwithstanding comments about the name of the establishment my wife and I had a first class dinner. There's (nearly) always something missing about a dinner in a hotel compared to a restaurant of equivalent stature but I have to say we came close here. Service was impeccable maintaining that delicate note of being friendly but still appropriately deferential to the customer. So far removed from going to a fashionable restaurant and being addressed as 'guys'! So how about the food and wine? We had a 'tasting menu' of 5 relatively small plates accompanied by the sommelier's recommendations. Beautifully presented and very well executed with only a slight comment about the lamb which seemed relatively aged and possibly verging on hogget. To be clear this is an expensive establishment but for us it worked extremely well and we were very satisfied with our dinner this evening.

Ruined my stay... rooms and location is good. But staff at bar Dinia was very rude, could not speak decent english. She really upset me my my energies went down for the evening. When i raised this with hotel manager, Teresa, she was said she will speak to her, not good enough redress.

Excellent hotel. Lovely comfortable bed and bedding, bathroom very good and room was warm and very comfortable with everything you could want. Full English breakfast was best I've had at any hotel. Staff were very warm and welcoming and service second to none. Perfect place for sightseeing and theatres and close to underground. Would definitely recommend

Stayed here for 5 nights after travelling through Europe. Easily the best hotel of the trip. This is the 3rd time we've stayed here. Beautiful breakfast! Huge room! gorgeous public gardens out front. Great bed! Attentive staff! Central to EVERYTHING in London. Right next to Embankment tube station. Pretty much perfect

The location is excellent, very close to embankment and Charing Cross and with a river view room the view is wonderful across the river and overlooking the south bank. The building has a gorgeous exterior and the interior decoratoon is lovely.

I gave a 5-star rating when I checked into the hotel with my wife days ago. We are here on holidays. Everything was perfect. The staff at the reception at the check/in was very professional and helpful. The hotel is nice and beautiful. The room is nice and clean and perfectly sited facing the river and London Eye. Just as we thought the good memory will last, but as I am writing this review right now which is 8 mins to 12 midnight, we are still being tormented by the loud disco music coming from somewhere below our hotel room. The music has been blasting loudly since 8:30pm. I do not think we are going to have a good night rest. Hotel management need to look into this.

Visited this establishment with my mother for a nice meal in the restaurant. We had a voucher which was expired, however they were extremely helpful and kind to let us come a couple of weeks after, as they were fully booked prior. We had a 3 course dinner and a bottle of bubbly. The food was outstandingly delicious!! The staff were ever so kind, helpful and attentive with us. We never felt out of place or looked down upon because we had a voucher. We were treated equally to the rest of the full paying clients. Absolutely amazing place, with grandeur and purpose.

I really like this hotel. It is in a great location on Whitehall so really close for lots of stuff, plus the building is fantastic. Inside is done out really nicely - old style rather than modern and contemporary and it suits it. The rooms are good. Beds really comfy. Heated floor in the bathroom which is amazing in the middle of the night or the morning. A TV in the bathroom if you want a soak in the bath and watch some TV (Hint - whatever channel is on the bedroom TV is on in the bathroom - took me a few mins to figure that out). Free mini bar snacks (crisps, cold soft drinks, chocolate). I really recommend staying here if you are in town - lovely place. Breakfast is great too.

This hotel is very charming and historical. We had dinner in the dining room and drinks in the little bar. The room we had was a king bed with vaulted ceilings. The location is beside the Thames, two blocks from Trafalgar Square, Train station is behind hotel. Walking distance to everywhere.
