Great place, fantastic location, nice rooms, delicious food
Definitely not a five star... Very old and need carpet change in the rooms, honestly the staff is 5 stars services... I saw most of guests r very old people that's why it wasn't suitable for me as a young man.... 4 stars it is
Fantastic, the food was full of flavour. Top service and hospitality
It was such a nice place that the building was once so luxurious and a London kid could be seen. The garden in front is too crowded to see the river, but the view is cool! The staff was very kind to suit the luxurious hotel. The hotel that gave me a good image about London.
Lived liked my cousin Harry. Harry Potter. Views were incredible
Our favorite hotel in London. The people are very kind and attentive. Very nice room. Breakfast included and delicious. By passing a special thanks to Ozoda. The view from our room is exceptional. The location is close to all of London's famous neighborhoods.
Amazing building, was there for a wedding reception.
We had an afternoon tea voucher as a gift ,wasn't too impressed that we were charged for service ,not offered top up of tea or food .Wouldn't go back .
I checked in early in the morning and it was nice to have a room right away. The room was spacious and the staff were very friendly. Afternoon tea was also satisfactory.
Such a magnificent place. Stayed in a king room with River view. Was nice enjoying the view of the London eye while relaxing in the room.
Excellent. Lovely location. Nice lunch. Excellent coctails. Pleasant & helpful service.
Really liked it. A nice old world charm atmosphere.
Some big and expensive hotels in the USA could learn lessons. Guests need to feel welcome and valued. I did.
Lovely welcoming staff, very clean, amazing view, great weekend and afternoon tea
Great hotel with character. Perfect location for exploring by foot and using the Underground.
Was here for a celebration, so I didn't stay in a room, but did get to experience the hotel. It's really quite impressive, the banquet rooms have some of the most amazing tilework I've seen in a long time. The library is also pretty amazing. Staff moved very efficiently through the crowds, serving was quick and quiet, world-class stuff here. From what I saw here, I can only assume the hotel side of the house is just as well kept.
Spent a day here at a conference. What an amazing place. Full of history. Very attentive staff, great food.
Wow, what a great Location. hope to be back soon. Thank you
Fantastic hotel, tucked away from Trafalgar Square, yet in a very good location. Food and service were amazing and the ambiance throughout the hotel was fantastic. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.
A grand old hotel just oozing charm and sophistication in the heart of London. We went on a deal and had a taste of how the other half really live.
Service was outstanding. Surroundings were gorgeous and very posh.
Afternoon tea was scrumptious and plentiful.
Could not fault the place. They overhead us toast our friends birthday and came out an hour later with a piece of chocolate cake, candle and slate with Happy birthday.
A really lovely touch and she was chuffed to bits.
Will come back with more friends when we have something to celebrate.
Great value for
Definitely would say that this is probably the best hotel you can stay in if you re visiting London. The location of this hotel is in middle of London. Staff very positive and polite , thank you so much. Great location and fairly good value for London !!
Easily accessible. Hostesses provide quality service with regards to refreshments
Excellent place for a quiet coffee between meetings. Haven't stayed here but friends rate it highly.
A stunning venue.Several floors of very large reception rooms ideal for weddings and large meetings.Very close to spectacular views of the London Eye.Beautiful.
There for a private function. Staff were excellent and the venue is superb.
Zoe George: What an amazing place! I booked via Groupon. The staff were very polite and very accomodating. Tattinger champagne was nicely cooled. The afternoon tea was plentiful wit extra sandwiches served without asking. Took my 9 year old god daughter too who was treated impeccably. The staff were amazing. Very polite. We were not treated any differently from people who were paying full price. I will certainly recommend and will go again.
Lovely staff spotless top bottom.most enjoyable stay.ten out ten.loved it.
Paid a lot of money for the Apartment Suite. Location is very good but heavy construction going on close to hotel and was woken up very early every morning except weekend. Concierge inexperienced and not that knowledgable. Mattress on sofa bed was all springs and very uncomfortable. Needed extra duvet comforter to use as "makeshift" mattress but housekeeping kept taking it every night evem though told not to do so several times by reception manager and concierge
Breakfast just barely average and same exact buffet every day. No variety. Management pretends to care but it is a facade and just "lip service". Was charged higher rate on conversion to U.S. dollars on my card on check out. Evidently a fee is factored in on their end when converting from BP to U.S. dollars. Never told this. Buyer beware! For value, look elsewhere whilst staying in London.
Such a nice hotel. Great location, lovely view of the Thames and the London Eye if you get a river facing room. We had a bit of trouble in our room with the facilities and were quickly moved to another room. Staff is friendly and accommodating. So happy we booked here, will definitely return.
For the price and status, I was really disappointed. Outlets hard to get to, no USBs for easy charging, horribly slow internet (couldn't even watch a show on our phones), curtains too narrow and thin so you can't close them completely for privacy and they do nothing to block out the noise of the city. The smart TV was quite dated, with no Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon... Rough fabric on robes, very hard and uncomfortable beds. Small amounts of mold in the bathroom. Took about 30 minutes to check in despite three others working the front desk. The heated bathroom floor and towel rack were not worth the lack of comfort and convenience, not to mention the steep price.
I stayed at The Royal Horseguards for four nights during my vacation to London. The location was absolutely perfect. Because of the close proximity of Embankment, Charing Cross, and Westminster Stations, it is very quick and simple to go nearly anywhere in the city. I ate the breakfast each morning, which had good variety. I appreciated the attention to detail that went into designing the rooms. There was both a European and a US outlet in addition to the UK outlets. Our electronics were all Euro or US and although we had two adapters, the additional outlets made it easier to charge everything and still use the curling iron in the morning. The Royal Horseguards understands how little details like this make a trip run smoother. The bathrooms are luxurious to the point of making you feel pampered. There is even a TV in the bathtub! Please note that this is a beautiful historic building, meaning the rooms aren't necessarily standardly shaped or large, but they lack nothing in terms of modern amenities.
Had a wonderful time, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, felt safe and relaxed during my stay
Location is great, central London. Professional event with food and drinks, good food and good service.
All lovely until we got to our room and there was a half drunk bottle of wine in our bar fridge! soooooo disappointed what crazy person would leave half a bottle of wine staff lovely and room Good, perfect location
Beautiful place! Amazing staff and comfy rooms and beds
Very disappointed, first impressions was great and we were really excited. Unfortunately it went down hill from here!
We had afternoon tea and champagne, from the moment we sat down to the moment we left not one staff member came to see if we wanted any more drinks or how we got on, the food wasn t presented as nice or up to the standards that are shown on the website. It was also my sister in-laws 30th birthday and they said they would bring us out a cake at the end of our afternoon tea, we reminded them when we arrived at the hotel but they seemed to forget, after thirty minutes of waiting for someone we decided to leave as we pre paid, this is when finally someone came to us but only because they wanted their grutitity charge. We would never have a problem with this but after the way we were treated and after not one staff member checked how we were we were a little disappointed.
Great hotel and great location but unfortunately they lack the customer service which you would expect!!
The room is tiny, facilities are lower end comparing to other four and five star hotels I have stayed. There was rubbish left by previous guests; bed was not comfortable at all; the heated towel rack in the bathroom was so hot it burnt my finger. Location is great but not worth the price.
Stunning historic venue for corporate event wedding and party
Kind and courteous staff, well appointed and wonderfully comfortable rooms. Breakfast menu very varied and plenty of time to enjoy the lovely surroundings. Will most definitely stay again.
Very central to everything, smart hotel and staff very friendly!
Room was too small, bed far too small, noisy air-con, random ironing board out in the room, bad quality small TV. Breakfast was nice, good selection (if quite trad - no avocado etc!) Defo not worth the money.
Afternoon tea; nice, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Beautiful building, room was fantastic and the location is great, the staff where very helpful and friendly.
Always a great welcome and they try wherever possible to accommodate your needs. Will be going there are on a next visit to London
Wonderful hotel. Excellent location. Staff was outstanding as well as the service. Highly recommend this establishment. We will return.
Elegant hotel and staff and breakfasts were exceptional. It was a shame that the inward facing rooms are being let out with floodlight switched on all night.
Great hotel, with river views. Very romantic. The location is great and the staff very pleasant. Loved the breakfast as well but expensive if not included. They have a bar terrace in summer.
One of the best hotels you can stay at when you're in London. Staffs were accommodating. :)
The hotel itself is very beautiful because of its architecture. Its historical past only makes it more interesting!
Went for an impromptu dinner and drinks and had a wonderful evening. Beautiful decor, attentive but discreet staff, delicious food and prosecco. Relaxed but refined atmosphere.
Exelent hotell. Great service and verry confortable. Can really recoment this hotell!
Charming surroundings, attentive but discreet service.
Absolutely gorgeous hotel and room. Staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is scrumptious and I would absolutely recommend tea time if you feel so inclined. Definitely the best I ever had.
High quality hotel offering good value fine dining.
This historic place is really something special - old London at its best! Had a great time and a fantastic view from our room!
Classic building of classical construction, located in the center of London, currently very used for business events, meetings and meetings due to its large spaces that give the possibility to assemble all the necessary equipment for them, such as scenarios, projections and everything emprecindible.
Incredible afternoon tea. Food was amazing and staff was lovely and attentive
The staff is excellently trained and very pleasant and efficient. The hotel is magnificent. The loud construction woke me and my husband at 9 am 3 days out of 7. One of the days the power sanding and hammering took place on the door directly next to our door. It was a very rude awakening. It was as loud as if the construction was happening in our room. There was no warning or notice. We found out they were changing out the locks on our doors. We hoped for a restful holiday, it was not a restful holiday.
Beautiful, grand, old building with added amenities.
Lovely hotel all staff very helpful .Had a meal in the resturant in the evening and it was devine . Our room was very spacious and i had the best nights sleep for months . If anything that was not so good was that it took the house keepers some time to split the double bed in to 2 singles . We have booked for December to stay overnight . We up graded the room on arrival for an extra thirty pounds it was worth it .
Amazing, during my stay I didn't find anything negative.
The service was pretty haphazard, lots forgotten or not brought but the food that did arrive was pretty good. Would certainly not call it 5* service...
Great rooms with London eye view and great location.
Beautiful and lovely hotel. We loved our stay in February 2020. The location is absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were large and comfortable. We loved it and hope to go back again soon.
The most beautiful and attractive hotel that I seen till now. Beautiful people and nice and prepared staff.
Lovely hotel, impacted a bit by construction noise nearby.
