I viewed the gym, gave it some thought, came back with gym bag and was ready to sign up, couldnt do my therapy swim because I didn't have a utility bill and passport to join the gym. I went to thr westgrove in Clane instead, fill a form and pay your cash, the way it should be

Had a short meeting at the Glenroyal. The location is handy since it's off the M4 motorway so you can link Dublin or the West easily. The staff were very friendly giving out information both to guest as well as visitors. On this occasion I wasn't a guest, however, the location is close to the National University of Ireland Maynooth. The guest coming and leaving the hotel were mostly parents of students because they had the junior or senior then father and mother in the list.

After phoning to check whst time food finished I was told by receptionist after 4 phone calls that it was 9.30pm on arrival at 9.10 and heading straight to bar I was approached by a waitress with a pretty bad attitude who proceeded to tell me that last orders were at 9.15 I told her it was 9.15 at this stage and was abruptly told I would not get food . The receptionist was as unhelpful when I said that a plate of sandwiches would do as we didn't fancy having to go out again with a 5 year old child. Customer service is certainly not on their agenda

Had to attend meeting here one evening last week n the hotel was extremely busy. Main entrance and reception area was warm bright and got a friendly hello from reception desk. I did stay in the hotel a few yes ago and room at time was relatively inexpensive, comfortable and the Leisure Centre was good. Definitely recommend if your in area :)

The Glenroyal is an excellent gym - two good pools.

There is a children s pool - after 7pm the children leave.

There are plenty of machines and even at the busiest of times you aren t waiting for long.

I initially had a couple s membership but swapped this for individual and whilst it s not cheap it s cheaper than Carlton House and a better gym than Carlton House.

First visit last weekend, arrived on Friday night the lobby was warm, clean and a few people sitting around chilling, after a bit of a rocky start with the room and a few other issues we got settled in and the rest of the weekend was grand, the spa was really impressive, but I must say Katie in reception was excellent and could not do enough. I will be back and would recommend it to anyone looking a chill out break.

We stayed during level 3 lockdown and Ernesto and his team went above to make sure we were locked after. It was a surprise engagement night from my sister and they put fresh robes and prosecco on ice for us on arrival.

Thank you to all the team. Highly recommend!

I have not stayed in the hotel but have had many meetings over the years with people through my work. The Lounge has been recently been tastefully re decorated and is very comfortable. There is also a Cafe to the other side of the reception which is very popular and does alot of passing trade. Anytime I have eaten there I could not fault. Staff are very polite and accomadating. The Hotel is situated right in the middle of Maynooth with easy access to all the restaurants, bars, shops on the high street and also a 5 minute walk to The Mill shopping centre or to the other end on the Dublin sideTesco's and other shopping outlets. If you want to go for a walk, you have Maynooth University Campus or you can walk through the Carton Gates at the end of the main street which brings you out onto Dunboyne road. You can continue on upto Carton House.

I very much liked this place. I was so surprised at the near luxury experience. What a place, the Architect and hotel team really thought about this project, I was amazed as soon as I passed the entrance doors. The staff so good and friendly. The food/menu was good, surprisingly only good. I would come back (but it is out of my way). Overall a wonderful experience. (well done you guys) PS: very well priced for such a nice place. Thank you.
I've just noticed that 'scumbag bridade with track suit gear' are allowed on the premises, it would not be allowed in any circumstances in any establishment that I frequent. (shame).

Lovely staff, great conference services and food and the new coffee shop within the hotel called Shoda is the best coffee shop around. Good parking and a lot of money gone into new decoration in the last few months so worth a visit if you haven't been here in a while. The leisure centre is top class and it walking distance from main street in Maynooth and 2 mins walk from the train station

Ok

The Hotel Glenroyal in Maynooth is getting on in years. Apparently it was built in the 90s, which is what you notice in the rooms today. The entrance area and the facade are still really chic, but the corridor to the room has already lowered our expectations. The doors are old, the carpet smudged and marked by the years.
The room is relatively small, clean, but it seems helpless, modernized with as few resources as possible. Some of the joints in the bathroom are black, the towel rails are loose, the shower and the tap are no longer up-to-date. The sink drain poorly used with silicone and disgusting. The bed box is simply covered with a new cover, the old one peeps out from the side. The cushion at the head end is simply attached to the wall without paying attention that the bed is only approx. 1.80m long. My feet were exposed below.

Because of the room, we decided not to visit the swimming pool.
Breakfast okay for English standards, the typical food is there.

Not acceptable for a four star hotel. Fortunately only booked for one night! Our bed and breakfast in the south cost half of 70 per night and was far better.

Stayed there on a family holiday ,
To be honest don't think it is worth the stars it has.
Our room included slippers and robes but unfortunately I had to ask for these and in return only got 1 robe.
My other family members rooms was not great , it was obviously rooms that had not yet been renovated and they paid the same price.
Very disappointed as we had been saving for that wee get away and would have rathered spent our money on nice rooms.
We will be looking towards knightsbrooke for our next getaway.
However the food was lovely and staff members especially a man named Barry that was on Nightshift was a wee star.
He called an ambulance for my son who was very unwell and did everything he could.

I am giving 3 stars because this hotel advertised family friendly. Yes it is a very friendly hotel, staff are lovely and helpful but I don't think it is family orientated! I was given a travel cot with no mattress the baby was expected to sleep on a board. When I rang reception they didn't have a mattress for travel cots and I was given a single duvet to use as a mattress. I stayed in family friendly hotels and this never happened. The bar and restaurant are very strict on dress code as there is a sign up about wearing no tracksuit or runners etc... In family friendly hotels you wouldn't see this as most parents wear these clothes when looking after kids. The entertainment was complete 0 no entertainment at all during our stay. I recommend this hotel for couples, hens, stags etc but not a family. The pull out bed was also a disaster I never felt so much springs I got no sleep as I slept on this because one of the kids certainly couldn't. Besides for making our own entertainment throughout the days we enjoyed our holiday but the hotel was very boring and not family organized. Lovely food, lovely staff but not for families.

Lovely hotel, luxurious accommodation and brilliant staff members. Have been in to the hotel on a number of occasions and every time i am greeted by smiling staff members with keen to please attitudes. Unfortunately i have not stayed in their rooms yet, but I intend to as soon as i can. It is a spectacular hotel.

Hookers! While arriving with my wife to the glenroyal hotel surprised to see hookers in at the reception when I arrived.
With my wife, we were not able to have a drink at the bar without seeing young woman with old men. We were Uncomfortable and we could not stay. The day after we booked another hotel in Dublin.
We won't go there anymore we won't live this experience again!

I stayed one night at the hotel, so I did not have time to enjoy the Leisure Club. But the stay was pleasant and the staff cordial. The rooms feel a bit old fashioned but it gets the job done.

Our room was very small, it was meant to be a double for two people. It did have a double bed but could just about walk around the bed. Very old bathroom toilet wouldn't property flush and there was only 1 towel. Just very cramped and not laid out well. It was clean, but the hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. Disappointed as our previous visit to the restaurant was very good.
